Review: Rocks Off Unihorn Stardust

Rocks Off Unihorn Stardust

I love working directly with manufacturers. Not only does it mean I get to work alongside the people who actually make the product, but it can also mean I get access to brand new products that might have not even hit the stores yet. So, recently when I saw Rocks Off put out a call for reviewers for their newest toy range, I was super eager to be a part of it. I was then lucky enough to get chosen, and sent a list of items to choose from. This was a tough decision, but ultimately my love for clitoral toys won out, and I requested the Unihorn and Purple Heart, two fantastic looking clitoral vibrators. Today I am just reviewing the Unihorn, but look out for my Purple Heart review in the coming weeks.

Review: MiaMaxx Hand-Held Thruster Vibrator

MiaMaxx Hand-Held Thruster Vibrator

Two of the things I am most passionate about as a sex toy reviewer is trying new things and featuring Australian manufacturers. I’ve found the best way to scout out both of these is at Sexpo, an annual sex convention here that I usually attend. During Sexpo 2016 I met a number of fantastic Australian manufacturers that I had never heard of before. One such company was Dare Too, the Melbourne-based creator of hand-held thruster vibrator MiaMaxx. After the convention I contacted them about reviewing the product, but this was sadly met with no response. I always remembered the toy though, as even now I haven’t tried anything like it, and was very intrigued. So recently when Femplay contacted me about reviewing some of their products, I was happily surprised to see the MiaMaxx as part of the range they stock. I requested it and they thankfully accepted, so now here I am finally reviewing it!

Review: California Exotics Clitoral Pump

California Exotics Clitoral Pump

I’ve been quite smitten lately with clitoral stimulators, and they are quickly becoming one of my favourite sex toys. Previously I only owned two, the Satisfyer Pro 2 and Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation, and have been eager to try more. So when Peepshow Toys recently approached me with a list of items I could review, the California Exotics Clitoral Pump jumped right out at me. I saw it as a great opportunity to review a similar toy to the Satisfyer line but from a different brand, and to have a cheaper alternative to suggest to my readers.

Review: California Exotics Luxe

California Exotics Luxe

I am a huge sci-fi nut, so the idea of any AI or responsive sex toy design is always something I am hugely interested in. There have been a few, but I haven’t heard of anything ‘wow’ yet, and haven’t tried any myself. I believe these toys are going to continue to pop up though, and I’m sure in 10 or so years time they will dominate the market. So recently when I was approached by my sponsor Femplay to review some of their products, I noticed the CalExotics Luxe amongst their range. I was immediately drawn to it due to its supposed ‘Touch-Sensitive Technology’. This is the sort of innovative idea that I am really excited to see more of in the sex toy industry, so I was super intrigued to find out more and see how it functioned for myself. I requested it from Femplay and they were kind enough to provide it for this review.

Review: Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation

Satisfyer Pro Penguin Next Generation

It has been awhile since I have had a Satisfyer product reviewed on my blog, but they certainly haven’t gone anywhere in all this time. I reviewed the first Satisfyer product, the Satisfyer Pro 2, a year ago now after the huge craze of the very similar Womanizer toys. Back then this suction technology was still a novelty, and the far cheaper Satisfyer Pro 2 made it more accessible than ever before. Personally I adored the toy, and it still remains one of my favourites, coming in at Number 3 in my Top 10 Toys of 2016 lineup. A few months after my review, Satisfyer, riding their wave of success, launched four new toys to sit alongside an upgraded version of the Pro 2. These toys all had different designs and features to allow for variations between the products, as well as some more budget friendly versions, and I was lucky enough to check them out at Sexpo in November. Out of the four toys, the Penguin design was the by far the most popular, with its adorable design winning numerous awards. Where were my reviews of these items? Lost in the mail it seems sadly, as Satisfyer did send me a review box for them that never arrived. But now it’s 2017, and Satisfyer are back with Next Generation versions of all their products. Thanks to Nikki Darling I’ll be reviewing the new Penguin Pro today, and seeing just how far Satisfyer have come since my last review.

Review: Vibease Esthesia

Vibease Esthesia

If I had to name one of my favourite and most unique reviews this year then the Vibease clitoral vibrator would surely come up. I had no idea what it would be like and was more than a little cynical about its erotic audio books, but it didn’t take me long to fall in love with it. While it had its faults, namely being difficult to use without its phone app, overall I gave it a good review. After publishing it I was once again contacted by Vibease, who were pleased with the review and offered to send me their only other product, the Esthesia. This toy is essentially the same as the Vibease and is also designed for use alongside their phone app, however rather than being a clit vibe it’s a rabbit vibrator. While I have now tried two dual stimulation vibrators, the MysteryVibe Crescendo and SenseMax SenseVibe, this is the first one that actually features the traditional shape of the rabbit vibrator (without the actual rabbit), so I guess technically this is my first one! Due to this and my love for the Vibease, I have been very excited to try out the Esthesia and write this review.

Review: B Swish Bgee Classic Plus

B Swish Bgee Classic Plus

I am always on the hunt to find good quality sex toys at reasonable prices to recommend to my readers. Not everyone can fork out $100 every time they want a new dildo or vibrator, and there is no reason they should have to! When Peepshow Toys recently sent me the Tantus Vamp Super Soft for review, they were kind enough to throw in some other cheaper toys for me to try out as well. It is a quality I love about their store, when sticking to body-safe retailers often you’ll just find luxury ones who stock the most expensive brands, however Peepshow Toys offers a wide variety of price ranges to suit any budget. Today I am checking out the B Swish Bgee Classic Plus, a G-spot vibrator for under $30 USD!

Review: Nu Sensuelle Point Bullet

Nu Sensuelle Point

I’ve seen the Nu Sensuelle Point around for awhile, and it has always peaked my interest. If you know your sex toys, you’ll probably notice that while this is essentially just a generic bullet style clit vibrator, it also looks a hell of a lot like the We-Vibe Tango, which just so happens to be one of my all time favourite sex toys. The perks of the Nu Sensuelle Point over the Tango though? Well, it is cheaper, it has more functions, it has a charging stand (instead of the Tango’s frustratingly bad magnetic charger), and it is designed in Australia (you know I love supporting local manufacturers and retailers). Plus, I’ve heard from other bloggers that its vibrations are pretty good too, so it has definitely been on my watch list for review items, especially since I always love to find cheaper and local alternatives to toys for recommendation. So when Femplay, one of my blog sponsors, recently offered me a few toys to review and I noticed the Nu Sensuelle Point on the list, I knew I just had to give it a go.

Review: Dame Fin

Dame Fin

I love seeing sex toys being talked about in the mainstream media, and if there is one company that is superb at getting attention from media that would usually see sex toys as taboo, it is Dame Products. It’s no surprise, their branding is that of a minimalist and trendy gadget start-up for millennials rather than a sex toy, and quite frankly it is refreshing to see. Their second product Fin, that I am reviewing today, broke records as the first ever sex toy campaign on Kickstarter, and brought in almost $400,000 worth of pledges, despite only having a $50,000 goal. This immediately told me that this toy was going to be a big deal. Since I never tried their first product, Eva (which I am reviewing soon), which had a similar crowdfunding success, I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. But I did remember hearing that it wasn’t all that great. The Fin’s Kickstarter video looked so good though that I truly believed it would finally cement Dame as a quality sex toy manufacturer. But, then I read this interview, where the product designer states their ‘research‘ of sex toys is based on their purchases from Amazon…. and it all went downhill from there.

Review: Zumio

Zumio

Usually when I first get offered a product for review I have a basic idea of how much I’m going to like it. A big reason for this is if I’ve read other blogger’s reviews of the same item, but what about when it’s a brand new product? Well, I can usually get an idea either from the manufacturer (do they have a good track record of other products?), or the type of toy (is it a style that I usually enjoy?). There are rare exceptions to this rule however, such as when brand new companies come out with innovative new toys I’ve never even considered before, such as when Womanizer first released their clitoral suction toy. I would have never guessed how big they would become if I had been reviewing for them back then. So, when JOUJOU approached me about reviewing the Zumio, a completely new style of toy from a brand new company, it felt like Womanizer all over again and I had no idea what to expect. Now, full disclosure, when I first saw it I literally lol’d and straight up told JOUJOU I didn’t think it would work. But, being ever curious I accepted it anyway because I just had to find out more, and as always, I hoped to be proven wrong.
