I’ve already tested a handful of app-controlled toys in 2023, but so far none of them have offered the convenience that makes me want to keep using the app in my spare time. Since I’m mostly using toys solo, the best way to incorporate apps into my routine is during extended wear, rather than bedside play. This is what I had hoped for with my recent review of the We-Vibe Ditto+, but with glitches getting in the way of any enjoyment, I was instead left feeling unfilled. That’s when my long-time sponsor Honey Play Box stepped in, who recently released a sex toy app of their own, complete with long-distance control. Thrusting sex toys are experiencing a true renaissance right now, with both stretch- and accordion-styles currently being more popular than ever. In fact, the only style I haven’t reviewed this year, despite holding a special place in my heart as the method many of my early thruster toys used, is magnetic. So when YoYoLemon suggested a review of their magnetic thruster, the Rabbit, I was immediately on board. Of course, as you might have guessed from the name, this isn’t just a thruster, but a rabbit vibrator in its own right, with an external arm and dual motors. When I talk about custom sex toys, usually I’m referring to dildos designed by independent makers who allow you to choose your own colours, and if you’re lucky, maybe even the density. I suppose if you really wanted to fully customise your toy, you could get in touch with a store and try to organise a quote for something one-of-a-kind, but it is definitely not the norm, nor is it always an option. But that’s exactly where newcomer Freely comes in, who are looking to change all that. Because for the very first time, they’re offering truly custom sex toys that are both accessible and permanently available. While the Canadian small business does feature a small collection of their own semi-customisable designs, as well as influencer collaborations, the thing that makes this brand really special is their online 3D builder, which allows you to fully design your very own silicone dildo from scratch. Of course, I was over the moon when they approached me to try my hand at it, and quickly got to work planning my dream toy.

Anal August may be over, but that doesn’t mean the love for this form of play has to end! After all, without anal toys I might not be here, with my blog starting out primarily reviewing butt plugs, and my Beginner’s Guide still being one of the most popular posts at Princess Previews. Plus, today’s review isn’t on any old butt plug, but a toy I’ve been after ever since it was originally announced back in 2017. We-Vibe are the makers of many of my favourite sex toys, from the Tango X and Touch X, to the Nova 2 and Melt, and their beginner’s friendly and app-compatible Ditto was another success that I just never got round to trying. So when Lovehoney Group (who recently acquired We-Vibe) reached out to let me know they’d be releasing an upgraded version, the Ditto+, this August, I couldn’t have said yes to a review faster.

Recently I’ve been getting more into make-up and skincare, partly due to TikTok. I love watching people’s routines, although many of the products these influencers use are far too costly for me to even consider buying. That was when the algorithm started recommending me “dupes”, which is a shortened version of the word duplicate and young people slang for a product that is very similar to a popular competitor, yet cheaper. For the first time, make-up felt accessible to me, and these dupes have been the perfect entry-point for someone who is still learning what they like and who is not yet ready to commit to a luxury purchase. Anyway, the reason why I am telling you this story, is because when I saw today’s review item, I immediately felt like I was one of those TikTok beauty influencers, like I had the chance to help someone just starting out on their sex toy journey, just like they helped me. Because at $108 AUD / $70 USD, the Funzze Stainless Steel Dildo is the closest dupe of the legendary Njoy Pure Wand I’ve ever seen, and at less than half the price!

Review: Pink Punch Sunset Mushroom

Pink Punch Sunset MushroomOne of the most memorable products I’ve reviewed this year so far has to be the Pink Punch Peachu. Whilst the suction toy sadly wasn’t able to satisfy me as well as I hoped, I was blown away by every other aspect of it. Despite being a relatively new brand with only one other product under their belt, Pink Punch had clearly applied a high level of thought and consideration into their flagship stimulator, with the design of the toy itself and everything else relating to it being exceptional. The Peachu, based appropriately on a peach, is a mini work of art, as is its discreet packaging, unique storage case (which doubled as a charging dock), and cyberpunk-style phone app for long-distance control. So, when that review was done, the only thing on my mind was getting my hands on Pink Punch’s other release, the Sunset Mushroom.
