Review: Vibease Esthesia

Vibease Esthesia

If I had to name one of my favourite and most unique reviews this year then the Vibease clitoral vibrator would surely come up. I had no idea what it would be like and was more than a little cynical about its erotic audio books, but it didn’t take me long to fall in love with it. While it had its faults, namely being difficult to use without its phone app, overall I gave it a good review. After publishing it I was once again contacted by Vibease, who were pleased with the review and offered to send me their only other product, the Esthesia. This toy is essentially the same as the Vibease and is also designed for use alongside their phone app, however rather than being a clit vibe it’s a rabbit vibrator. While I have now tried two dual stimulation vibrators, the MysteryVibe Crescendo and SenseMax SenseVibe, this is the first one that actually features the traditional shape of the rabbit vibrator (without the actual rabbit), so I guess technically this is my first one! Due to this and my love for the Vibease, I have been very excited to try out the Esthesia and write this review.

Review: Zumio

Zumio

Usually when I first get offered a product for review I have a basic idea of how much I’m going to like it. A big reason for this is if I’ve read other blogger’s reviews of the same item, but what about when it’s a brand new product? Well, I can usually get an idea either from the manufacturer (do they have a good track record of other products?), or the type of toy (is it a style that I usually enjoy?). There are rare exceptions to this rule however, such as when brand new companies come out with innovative new toys I’ve never even considered before, such as when Womanizer first released their clitoral suction toy. I would have never guessed how big they would become if I had been reviewing for them back then. So, when JOUJOU approached me about reviewing the Zumio, a completely new style of toy from a brand new company, it felt like Womanizer all over again and I had no idea what to expect. Now, full disclosure, when I first saw it I literally lol’d and straight up told JOUJOU I didn’t think it would work. But, being ever curious I accepted it anyway because I just had to find out more, and as always, I hoped to be proven wrong.

Review: L’amourose Prism V

L'amourose Prism V

Even though I am a sex toy reviewer and it might seem like I can get whatever toy I want there is still a bunch that I desperately desire but have never had the opportunity to review, and up until now this particular toy has been at the top of that list. Even though I had never tried any products from them before, L’amourose is one of my favourite luxury sex toy manufacturers. I hear constant praise for their products and customer service, and I love the designs they come out with. A few times I have had the opportunity to review L’amourose, and so after much research I decided that the Prism V was the toy I wanted most, however all those times ultimately fell through. But when JOUJOU recently approached me and asked if I wanted to review something for them I was overjoyed when I saw they stocked the L’amourose Prism V and requested it straight away.

Review: SenseMax SenseVibe Warm

SenseMax SenseVibe Warm

I have been buying sex toys for four years now and reviewing them for two, but I have always avoided any toys that combined clitoral and vaginal stimulation. I love the idea of them and they certainly are popular, but I have read far too many negative reviews where the clitoral arm does not sit properly on the user’s clitoris, and that wasn’t a risk I wanted to take. Even since I have been reviewing and getting toys for free I have still avoided them because I feel they are just too subjective of a toy to be able to properly recommend to my readers. The adjustable MysteryVibe Crescendo, which I reviewed earlier in the year, was the closest I’ve come to one of these toys so far, however even that didn’t work out and I was left with a motor that was too high up to reach my clit, putting me off the idea even more. But I know it is a big part of the sex toy world that both myself and my blog are missing out on, so when I was approached by SenseMax to review the SenseVibe Warm recently I decided it was finally time to face my fears and try out my first dual stimulation toy.

Review: Vibease

Vibease

Usually the first time I hold a sex toy in my hands and have a quick play around with it, before I even use it properly, I can generally tell whether or not it’ll work for me. My body has a lot of personal preferences, as does everyones, and I’ve gotten to know these pretty well after two years of sex toy reviewing. I know for a dildo I like lengthy but thin A-spot orientated realistic toys, and for a vibrator I like strong rumbly vibrations paired with a soft broad head that has a lot of pressure applied to it. So when I recently received the Vibease for review, it was immediately obvious that almost everything about it was the complete opposite of my preferences, and I thought there was no way it would suit my body. But as a reviewer I love to be proven wrong, and so I jumped right into testing it just as I would with any other toy, and I was very pleasantly surprised.

Review: We-Vibe Wish

We-Vibe Wish

I’m a big We-Vibe fan. My Tango is a must-have during PIV sex, and no other bullet vibrator I have tried has even come close to its power. It transforms even the most boring of dildos into amazing orgasms, and while I don’t talk about it as often, its sister toy, the We-Vibe Touch, is also a brilliant and powerful toy. We-Vibe have released, to hugely positive reviews, a few new products last year, but they were primarily internal vibrators and as this isn’t really my thing I didn’t pursue reviewing them. More recently however the We-Vibe Wish was announced, We-Vibe’s brand new clitoral vibrator, and just on those words I was sold, after all their other two are the best in my toybox. Then I saw its adorable soft silicone design and gorgeous blue colour and I needed one immediately. The awesome guys over at Peepshow Toys were kind enough to hook me up with one for review, and here we are.

Review: Cloudnine Hummingbird Mini

Cloudnine Hummingbird Mini

At Sexpo this year I was on the look out for the best from Australia’s retailers and manufacturers. You can read more about what I came across in my wrap-up post of the event, but some of the toys that piqued my interest the most were over at the Cloudnine Adult Concepts stand. On show they had their two flagship creations, the Hummingbird and Hummingbird Mini. Why did these interest me so much? Because I love wand massagers, and seeing one had been created by an Australian manufacturer filled me with joy. I was also incredibly pleased to see that these had been made with 100% body safe silicone and trying them out at the show they seemed quite sturdy and had some reasonable vibrations. Getting home from the convention I emailed Cloudnine to let them know of my support and they were kind enough to email back offering to let me review their Hummingbird Mini as well as three wand attachments for it.

Review: New York Toy Collective Ellis

New York Toy Collective Ellis

In the sex toy industry, and as with most industries, there are the large brand name companies with huge product ranges and luxury packaging that can be found at practically every store, and then there are the smaller independent manufacturers who hand-make their products and focus on quality over quantity. Both are good and I think a mix of these two styles are important, especially since it is usually the larger companies who can afford to create more entry-level priced collections. However, I have so much more respect for the little guys who put so much love and care into each of their pieces, and basically put their financial (and sometimes personal) lives at risk just to help create great quality sex toys for us all. I want to support these sorts of companies as much as I can, but unfortunately they can be hard to access here in Australia when none of the larger retailers want to stock them. So this is why when I found The Slinky Minx  and was given the opportunity to review the New York Toy Collective Ellis that I was so ridiculously overjoyed.

Review: Geeky Sex Toys Laser Sword

Geeky Sex Toys Laser Sword

I don’t get the chance to talk about it much on this blog, but I am a huuugee geek. When I’m not working or cooking (my other passion) you can guarantee I’m doing something nerdy, from playing video games and weekly 12 hour games of Dungeons and Dragons, to reading manga and drawing fan art of my favourite comic book characters. To bring in the new year my partner and I watched a marathon of Lord of the Rings, and we even met on geeky terms. One of my earliest signs of geekdom was being shown Star Wars when I was 10 and becoming obsessed. This hasn’t ever stopped, and in more recent years I have been throughly enjoying the franchise’s revival and have attended both The Force Awakens and Rogue One’s midnight screenings, buying tickets for both almost a month in advance out of excitement and to ensure I get the best seats in the house. So, you can imagine my excitement last year at Sexpo when I found out two of my favourite things, Star Wars and Sex Toys, had been combined! If you’ve read my Sexpo wrap-up you’ll probably remember my huge rambling about the amazing new independent Australian store I had found while I was there: Geeky Sex Toys. After the event I contacted them to let them know how much I adored everything they are doing, and they were wonderful enough to send me their Star Toys Laser Sword and R2-V2 Wand Massager for review.

Review: Tantus Uncut #1

Tantus Uncut #1

This is my first review of 2017 and this year I’ve got a lot of big goals for the blog. One of them is trying to diversify my posts and review products. Different types of toys, writing more about my opinions on certain topics rather than just reviews, and so forth. So, on that note, even though it’s a little bit of a stretch, I thought that this sex toy would be the perfect way to kick off the year. The Tantus Uncut #1 represents a step forward in dildo diversity. If you hadn’t noticed, this particular dildo is uncircumcised and features a foreskin. I’ve read a lot of reviews on this toy before deciding to get one, and bloggers often talk about how they have never had a uncircumcised partner before, but that is because the majority of them are from the US where around 80% of males are circumcised. I, on the other hand, live in Australia where only around 30% of males are circumcised, so as you can imagine all my partners have been ‘uncut’. This also explains why you’ve likely never seen a uncircumcised dildo or penis in the media before, because the majority of our porn and sex toys come from the US! I was so happy to see the penises that I know and love represented when Tantus announced the Uncut, and since have been so glad to see many other sex toy companies continue this awesome trend.
