I have been buying sex toys for four years now and reviewing them for two, but I have always avoided any toys that combined clitoral and vaginal stimulation. I love the idea of them and they certainly are popular, but I have read far too many negative reviews where the clitoral arm does not sit properly on the user’s clitoris, and that wasn’t a risk I wanted to take. Even since I have been reviewing and getting toys for free I have still avoided them because I feel they are just too subjective of a toy to be able to properly recommend to my readers. The adjustable MysteryVibe Crescendo, which I reviewed earlier in the year, was the closest I’ve come to one of these toys so far, however even that didn’t work out and I was left with a motor that was too high up to reach my clit, putting me off the idea even more. But I know it is a big part of the sex toy world that both myself and my blog are missing out on, so when I was approached by SenseMax to review the SenseVibe Warm recently I decided it was finally time to face my fears and try out my first dual stimulation toy.
I don’t get the chance to talk about it much on this blog, but I am a huuugee geek. When I’m not working or cooking (my other passion) you can guarantee I’m doing something nerdy, from playing video games and weekly 12 hour games of Dungeons and Dragons, to reading manga and drawing fan art of my favourite comic book characters. To bring in the new year my partner and I watched a marathon of Lord of the Rings, and we even met on geeky terms. One of my earliest signs of geekdom was being shown Star Wars when I was 10 and becoming obsessed. This hasn’t ever stopped, and in more recent years I have been throughly enjoying the franchise’s revival and have attended both The Force Awakens and Rogue One’s midnight screenings, buying tickets for both almost a month in advance out of excitement and to ensure I get the best seats in the house. So, you can imagine my excitement last year at Sexpo when I found out two of my favourite things, Star Wars and Sex Toys, had been combined! If you’ve read my Sexpo wrap-up you’ll probably remember my huge rambling about the amazing new independent Australian store I had found while I was there: Geeky Sex Toys. After the event I contacted them to let them know how much I adored everything they are doing, and they were wonderful enough to send me their Star Toys Laser Sword and R2-V2 Wand Massager for review.
I’m not really an internal vibrator kind of girl. Maybe that is because I only own one (way to discredit something without trying it properly, Grace), but I just don’t really see the appeal to it. I just like having something vibrate my clitoris while something else thrusts inside my vagina, it’s nature’s magic combo after all. But if you imagine the sex toy market without any internal vibrators you are really just left with dildos for internal stimulation, and while dildos are absolutely great and do come in a huge variety of shapes, sizes and textures, you’re kind of left wanting something more. So when I heard about Fun Factory’s line of Pulsators, a vibrator-looking toy that uses magnets to thrust back and forth inside you, I was hooked and have been eager to get my hands on one ever since. It was as if they read my mind and made the perfect toy for me! I was lucky enough to receive Fun Factory’s first Pulsator toy, the Stronic Eins, from my site sponsor Cupid’s Cupboard this month for review, so head over to their site to see what I thought!
I received this product in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
Update: After events that transpired after my review, which you can read about in detail here, I can no longer recommend A Touch of Glass as a trustworthy retailer or manufacturer.
