Wand massagers are the world’s most iconic sex toy, and for good reason. Their large size means they can house motors far bigger than the average vibrator, allowing for a power level that just can’t be matched. Combine this with an easy handle, making the product good for both solo and partnered use, plus the fact that many are now rechargeable for wireless play, and it’s easy to understand why these products are such an essential for any toybox. Not to mention that they are probably the most accessible toy there is, working for every body, regardless of gender, sexuality or body parts. The only downside is the high price tag, which means that for many people, massagers are cherished items and the only toy in the house. So, what do you do when you’ve already forked out for one, but are starting to fancy something different? Get an attachment, of course!
Wand attachments are a fantastic way to take a massager you already love, and upgrade it so that it can offer different sensations. Le Wand, makers of the iconic Rechargeable Massager, have always had a good range of them at their store, and with the release of their new Flick and Stroke attachments, there are now even more ways to play. I was so excited when they offered to send these to me for review, as it’s my first time receiving a wand attachment by itself, rather than alongside a massager. Plus, with the Stroke being designed for the penis, this gave my partner a rare opportunity to test something out too.
Product Description
The Le Wand Flick and Stroke are both attachments designed for full-size wands, such as the brand’s Rechargeable and Plug-In Massagers. They’re made entirely of silky smooth body-safe silicone, and feature a hollow replica of the massager head (albeit slightly larger so it can cover it), followed by a protruding element designed to enhance stimulation. The Flick’s enhancement is a mostly flat piece of silicone that extends out from the top of the attachment before tapering off to a slight point. On both sides the silicone is also concave, so that it may better engulf where it’s placed, gradually thinning to the point where you can actually see your finger on the other side. The idea of this, as implied by the name, is that it can provide flicking stimulation, a method of play often designed to mimic the sensations of the tongue during oral sex. This can be enjoyed by anyone anywhere, and the tip also offers pin-point stimulation whilst the flat surface can offer broad. Meanwhile, the Stroke is designed for the penis, and looks similar to a semi-enclosed masturbator or stroker, just on the end of a wand head. Two flexible silicone flaps that curve enough to almost meet each other, the interior of this features three different textures: a majority of medium-sized dots, four thick ribbed lines, and finally a brief row of smaller dots. In addition, both attachments also feature the Le Wand logo etched into their silicone, whilst only the Stroke has part of its rim raised slightly to make removal easier (which is strange, considering they were released together and the Flick could have also benefited from it). Finally, the attachments only come in one colour each, with the Flick being pink and the Stroke being a dark blue. This is really the only immediate downside to these toys, as due to their nature it feels very gendered (“pink for the girls toy, blue for the boys”), which is a disappointing move from an otherwise very progressive brand.
Packaging
Le Wand personally sent me the Stroke and Flick, and since they do not sell directly to Australia, I won’t go into the shipping details. The two products then came in quite simple, matching packaging, consisting of just a cardboard box featuring pictures of the toy and information on what it can do. The printing is nicely done on these, using glossy and metallic inks to highlight certain areas, but otherwise the boxes feel a little low-quality, at least compared to Le Wand’s usual premium packaging. Of course, these attachments are also much cheaper than my other products from the brand, so I can’t really complain. Inside you can then find the two attachments resting in plastic (which does feel slightly unnecessary from an environmental standpoint), alongside an instruction manual. This was surprising, as similar to dildos, I didn’t expect these attachments to come with instructions, especially ones as thick as these. But it turns out it is mostly just advertising Le Wand’s other attachments, which again seems like unnecessary waste. In addition, the Le Wand Stroke and Flick both come with a one year warranty.
First Impressions
Placing the Le Wand Flick and Stroke on my Le Wand Rechargeable Massager is easy, as it just slips on over its silicone head. I also tried the attachments out on a number of my other full-sized wands to ensure they are compatible with a wide range of products, to great success. The wands I found the Flick and Stroke to work for were the Magic Wand Rechargeable, Magic Wand Plus, Doxy OG, Doxy Die Cast, Lovehoney Wand, O-WAND, and the Funzze Massager. In fact, the only one I tried that they didn’t love was the We-Vibe Wand (they span around as they were a little loose), but even this was still usable, which suggests as long as you have a full-sized wand, these attachments should work for you. The downside is really just taking them off. I don’t know if it’s possible to make this experience any easier, but if it is then Le Wand have not succeeded, with even the Stroke’s little lip not helping the matter. As it happens, I have a cut on my thumb from trying to get it off at one point during my testing, although I should mention that this was caused by my own nail rather than the soft silicone. Similarly, my partner told me at the end of his testing that he was too afraid to remove the Stroke, as despite trying he felt he was unable to without either breaking the attachment, the wand, or both (which is understandable, I often have to go slow with removal in an effort to not snap the neck of the wand the Flick is on). Of course, you can apply water-based lubricant which does help somewhat, but I don’t find it causes enough of a difference to make up for the extra cleaning it also requires.
Our Experience
Flick
Since the Magic Wand Rechargeable is my favourite wand (and the Le Wand Rechargeable Massager was already in use by my partner with the Stroke), that is what I used during my testing of the Flick. I was excited to experience new sensations with a sex toy that I’ve been using weekly for almost ten years, although I was aware that my intense familiarity and accustomed nature to it may hinder things (as opposed to my partner’s lack of familiarity). Plus, I am not the biggest fan of flicking stimulation as it is, and whilst I do enjoy the occasional feeling of pin-point stimulation, broad vibrations with a lot of pressure attached is usually where it is at for me. Starting use, I immediately noticed a big difference in the way I needed to hold the wand. All massagers are heavy (the Le Wand even more so than the Magic Wand), but usually they stand vertically over you, so all that weight is on your clitoris, not your wrists. But with the Flick attached, it instead lies horizontally and almost parallel with your stomach, meaning you really feel that weight, and this can be tiring on the arms. One solution is to rest it fully against your stomach, although this way you will have significantly less control over the toy, so I tried to avoid this.
As for the stimulation, the first few times I tried it I was not impressed. Whilst the vibrations travelled through the silicone well, so that the Flick’s end could provide ample flicking and pin-point sensations, it wasn’t nearly as pleasurable as just using the massager itself, making me question whether it was worth it. Of course, if you don’t like the way a massager feels normally or want a way to subdue the vibrations, then it may be perfect. But what about me, a self-proclaimed wand lover? The change came when I altered my mindset. Rather than just focusing on the stimulation and how it compared to the Magic Wand Rechargeable, I thought about how the Flick could enhance my experience. The flap on it feels a lot like a tongue by design, as well as a penis, and so I started rubbing and dragging it back and forth across my vulva and entrance, occasionally inserting just the tip, to replicate the sensations you might feel during sex, which amped up any fantasies I had running in my head. In this way, I started to use the Flick more like a fantasy grinder, such as the Uncover Creations Tentacle Grinder II, than a wand attachment or clitoral vibrator, and my enjoyment of it skyrocketed. When nearing orgasm, I found applying either the flicking tip to my clitoris or quickly rotating the Magic Wand Rechargeable helped ramp things up, although for the final push I still preferred going all in and just placing the massager head directly on my clitoris.
Stroke
My partner tested out the Stroke with Le Wand’s own Rechargeable Massager. Despite being with me for over nine years, he is quite inexperienced when it comes to sex toys and has never used a wand on himself before. His favourite masturbator is the Hot Octopuss PULSE DUO, and so he found the surprising size and weight of the massager to be the biggest hurdle when it came to using the Stroke. With a handle that is far larger than the masturbator-style attachment itself, this ended up either in his face or pressing into his stomach, since his penis has an upright curve to it. The bulky length then made it difficult to both see and use, and he found himself missing the compact nature of the PULSE DUO instead. The second main issue he reported was the length of the Stroke’s chamber, which he felt was overly long, resulting in very little room to move it around. Since he is more accustomed to masturbating by hand, the ability to stroke was key for him, something he ironically felt was missing in the more vibrations-forward nature of the Stroke. He mentioned that for him, vibrations are less important, and that because the Hot Octopuss PULSE DUO was already more than enough power for him, he saw little point in the increased size and price of the Le Wand Rechargeable Massager, and thus the Stroke as an attachment for it. Overall, whilst he enjoyed the design of the attachment itself, the bulkiness of the wand it was attached to was not for him.
Cleaning & Care
Since these products are fully silicone, they’re also 100% waterproof. When done, simply remove them from the massager (you could potentially leave them attached, just ensure you consider the waterproofing of the wand first before cleaning), and then place them in some warm soapy water, before rinsing and leaving to air dry. As they aren’t intended for internal use, they shouldn’t be too messy, however if dried fluids are present then you may also want to scrub them down with a spare toothbrush, particularly the textured portions of the Stroke. After this you can store them any way you wish. Finally, do not use silicone-based lubricants with these products, as it may damage the silicone they are made of.
Final Thoughts
Both my partner and I had a lot of fun with the Le Wand Flick and Stroke wand attachments, but they certainly weren’t without fault. Whilst they gave our massagers the instant enhancement we were looking for, it meant altering a sex toy that was already perfect, and messing with perfection is a tricky thing. The size and weight of the Le Wand Rechargeable Massager and Magic Wand Rechargeable has never been more obvious than when using them with the Flick and Stroke, and whilst in our minds we were using products akin to a clitoral stimulator and masturbator, the reality was a far more bulky version than either of us had ever experienced before. Overall, I enjoyed the Flick more than he enjoyed the Stroke, but this was only by not really using it as intended. Rather than letting its tip flick against me for pin-point stimulation, I essentially used it similar to a vibrating grinder, allowing its full length to simulate the sensations of being rubbed against. Meanwhile, my partner struggled, finding the strong vibrations of the massager not worth the extra effort, actually preferring to use the Stroke on its own. In conclusion, whilst I do think both attachments have their place for those who enjoy the type of stimulation Le Wand have created them for, it’s important to note that ultimately it will play second fiddle to the massager itself, failing to replace the range of clit vibes and strokers already on the market. Whilst on the other hand, those who already enjoy their massager may not find the instant connection they’re looking for, as rather than a simple upgrade, the alternative form of stimulation may not be for you.

Great
The Flick was a fun wand attachment, especially considering its low price. However my partner was less of a fan of the Stroke, primarily due to how bulky the rest of the wand could be.

It’s cool that it’s compatible with so many brands and models!
That is odd that the Flick didn’t come with a tab for easier removal. Seems like Le Wand should look into making both attachments easier to remove.
This is absolutely a nice blog.
