Last year I got to review some amazing products, that, if it wasn’t for the fact I am a reviewer, I would have never been able to afford. It was, and is, fantastic, but as someone who is considered on the lower end of society in terms of money, I can completely understand how alienating it can feel to readers who are making an effort to try and find good sex toys but can’t actually buy any of the things I review. Cheaper sex toys are just as important as higher end or luxury ones, if not more so, and they can be just as good. In fact the most expensive toys I have ever reviewed, the MysteryVibe Crescendo and O-WAND, I gave bad reviews to. Just because something is expensive doesn’t mean it is any good, and I think that it is our jobs as reviewers to let our readers know this and what better options are out there for them. Cheap but good quality toys that are made from body-safe materials are becoming more common and can provide a great entry-point or even full-fledged toy if you know where to look. So this year I want to start reviewing more budget-friendly toys to provide more accessible options for the majority of my readers. To start this off Peepshow Toys have kindly sent me two VeDO toys that are both under $45 AUD / $35 USD, the Luv Plus Bullet Vibrator and Quaker Anal Vibe, and for this review I will be focusing on the Luv Plus.
Review: Tantus Perfect Plug Plus
My blog started with a butt plug review, and since then I have written a lot of them, including a guide for beginners on how to use them. From that I have been seeking out plugs to recommend to my readers, generally with an emphasis on affordable but still good quality types. For anyone willing to put in a bit of extra money though I have always recommended the Tantus Perfect Plug Kit. Even though I didn’t own it myself, I trust Tantus, and to me the kit always seemed like the perfect way to start an anal journey. From it you get two very high quality silicone plugs that you know will last you a long time. The first is the Perfect Plug, which is thin, small, and a great way for any beginner to start off, while the other one, the Perfect Plug Plus, maintains a similar shape but is larger and can be used with a bullet vibrator for added stimulation, once you have mastered the smaller one. So, when I was given the opportunity from Tantus awhile ago to review some of their products I knew that it was finally time to try out what I had been recommending, and so, as an already experienced anal toy user, I asked to review the Perfect Plug Plus.
Review: Godemiche Ambit
Have you ever bought something that you couldn’t even begin to justify, you just really needed it? I’m sure we’ve all made such an impulsive and stupid, yet wonderful, decision once in our lives, and mine is definitely the Godemiche Ambit. I’ve had my eye on Godemiche since they started up, a small husband and wife team from the UK who hand-make all of their silicone products. So far their range has been small, offering their signature Adam dildo, a butt plug, a ball gag and The Peg, which is finger-like toy designed for anal beginners. They’re all brilliant start-up products, and I doubt it will be long before they expand, especially since they are currently designing a wand attachment dildo for the Doxy Wand, as well as an attachment for the new Doxy bullet vibe that was announced at the ETO Show this year. As much as I have wanted to try out their products, I was worried that the girth of the Adam (the only product I was particularly interested in) would be too much for me. That all changed however when the Ambit was announced, a slimmer dildo designed for G-spot stimulation. It looked like the perfect dildo for me, and I was so excited for it I even made a statement about how great it looked for SHE Magazine (pg.62). Of course I couldn’t afford it, but after seeing it made for someone else in Godemiche’s Galaxy colour combination, I just couldn’t resist any longer and immediately ordered one.
Review: Tantus Vamp
If I were to pinpoint the most surprising thing I have found out about my body since starting this sex toy journey, it would be that I have a really small vagina. By that, I mean that while I have an average looking one, and have a little above average depth, my vagina’s opening is very small, meaning I have a lot of trouble with above average girth toys. I still hope to one day be a Size Queen (a term used by bloggers who enjoy big toys) like a lot of my other favourite sex toy bloggers and be able to enjoy some of their favourites, but right now that’s not the case, I’m more like a Size Princess at the moment. That is totally ok, everyone is different and it doesn’t really effect me too much. But it is something I didn’t know when purchasing the Tantus Vamp. I don’t see it as a mistake, because it helped me to learn myself, but ultimately it turned a toy I have read many positive reviews on, into something not so positive for me.
Review: DOMINIX Deluxe Heart Slapper Paddle
If you’ve seen any of my cam shows you’ll know I’m never far away from my trusty companion, my Deluxe Leather Heart Slapper Paddle from Lovehoney’s DOMINIX range, and that my favourite part of the show is always when I get to use it. When I first decided to start adult webcamming there were a few things I knew I needed to begin (good quality webcam, tripod ect.) and a good paddle was a top priority. Not because I really needed it for camming, but because it was a bloody good excuse to get something I’d be wanting for a long time.
Review: Jopen Lust L2
The Jopen Lust L2 is a tiny bombshell of pleasure. For such a cheap, simple, and sleek design, it can easily be overlooked. But this is not one to be missed, it has strong vibrations and an easy to use hands free design. I have used this toy almost every day since I received it, and I have no plans for this to change anytime soon!
