I don’t think I’ve ever doubted a sex toy more than with the Satisfyer Pro G-Spot Rabbit (also known as the Satisfyer Pro + G-Spot), as soon as I saw it I thought it was a bad idea. I’m automatically suspicious of all rabbit style vibrators, because it can be so hard to find one that will actually suit your body. Companies who make them seem to assume the distance between the clitoris and vaginal opening, and if you don’t fit into that measurement, or the small window of flexibility that some offer, then you’re probably going to be down a hundred bucks and left with a vibrator you can’t use. Certainly if you find one that does suit your body then they can be amazing, and I have actually had some pretty good luck with the rabbit style vibes I have tried so far, but as a blogger I feel unprofessional recommending toys that I know probably won’t work for a lot of people, even if it does work for me. Then bring Satisfyer’s suction-style toys into the picture, a range of products that I have trouble placing on my clitoris when it’s the only thing I have to do… yeah, that doesn’t sound like the best match. But, Satisfyer do seem to continually prove me wrong and have produced nothing but astounding toys so far, so I thought I should at least give them some credit and try out their latest innovation, who knows, maybe it’ll surprise me.
Review: California Exotics Luxe
I am a huge sci-fi nut, so the idea of any AI or responsive sex toy design is always something I am hugely interested in. There have been a few, but I haven’t heard of anything ‘wow’ yet, and haven’t tried any myself. I believe these toys are going to continue to pop up though, and I’m sure in 10 or so years time they will dominate the market. So recently when I was approached by my sponsor Femplay to review some of their products, I noticed the California Exotics Luxe amongst their range. I was immediately drawn to it due to its supposed ‘Touch-Sensitive Technology’. This is the sort of innovative idea that I am really excited to see more of in the sex toy industry, so I was super intrigued to find out more and see how it functioned for myself. I requested it from Femplay and they were kind enough to provide it for this review.
Review: Vibease Esthesia
If I had to name one of my favourite and most unique reviews this year then the Vibease clitoral vibrator would surely come up. I had no idea what it would be like and was more than a little cynical about its erotic audio books, but it didn’t take me long to fall in love with it. While it had its faults, namely being difficult to use without its phone app, overall I gave it a good review. After publishing it I was once again contacted by Vibease, who were pleased with the review and offered to send me their only other product, the Esthesia. This toy is essentially the same as the Vibease and is also designed for use alongside their phone app, however rather than being a clit vibe it’s a rabbit vibrator. While I have now tried two dual stimulation vibrators, the MysteryVibe Crescendo and SenseMax SenseVibe, this is the first one that actually features the traditional shape of the rabbit vibrator (without the actual rabbit), so I guess technically this is my first one! Due to this and my love for the Vibease, I have been very excited to try out the Esthesia and write this review.
Review: Tantus Vamp Super Soft
For avid readers of my blog, you might recall the Tantus Vamp from my earlier review of it back in March last year. That review is one of my favourites, because I always felt like it was a turning point both for my blog and for my body. When I first purchased the Vamp I had no idea about any limitations I may have in my ability to enjoy sex toys. I was just starting out as a blogger, and I happily added the Vamp to my shopping cart during a sale of Tantus’s grab bags. Little did I know, that it would actually be too large in girth for my vagina to comfortably accommodate. I tried many times to be able to use it, as I had heard such great feedback from my fellow bloggers, until eventually I admitted defeat, and decided large toys just weren’t for me. I have come to accept that now, and it is one of the traits that makes my blog a little bit different from others. But I always wished I could enjoy the Tantus Vamp like so many others had. So, you only can imagine my excitement when I heard Tantus were releasing a new version of the Vamp, in their Super Soft silicone formula. It was a dream come true, and I quickly set my heart upon owning one. Thankfully, Peepshow Toys were kind enough to send one my way for review.
Review: New York Toy Collective Ellis
In the sex toy industry, and as with most industries, there are the large brand name companies with huge product ranges and luxury packaging that can be found at practically every store, and then there are the smaller independent manufacturers who hand-make their products and focus on quality over quantity. Both are good and I think a mix of these two styles are important, especially since it is usually the larger companies who can afford to create more entry-level priced collections. However, I have so much more respect for the little guys who put so much love and care into each of their pieces, and basically put their financial (and sometimes personal) lives at risk just to help create great quality sex toys for us all. I want to support these sorts of companies as much as I can, but unfortunately they can be hard to access here in Australia when none of the larger retailers want to stock them. So this is why when I found The Slinky Minx, and was given the opportunity to review the New York Toy Collective Ellis, that I was so ridiculously overjoyed.
Review: Tantus Uncut #1
This is my first review of 2017 and this year I’ve got a lot of big goals for the blog. One of them is trying to diversify my posts and review products. Different types of toys, writing more about my opinions on certain topics rather than just reviews, and so forth. So, on that note, even though it’s a little bit of a stretch, I thought that this sex toy would be the perfect way to kick off the year. The Tantus Uncut #1 represents a step forward in dildo diversity. If you hadn’t noticed, this particular dildo is uncircumcised and features a foreskin. I’ve read a lot of reviews on this toy before deciding to get one, and bloggers often talk about how they have never had a uncircumcised partner before, but that is because the majority of them are from the US where around 80% of penises are circumcised. I, on the other hand, live in Australia where only around 30% of penises are circumcised, so as you can imagine all my partners have been ‘uncut’. This also explains why you’ve likely never seen a uncircumcised dildo or penis in the media before, because the majority of our porn and sex toys come from the US! I was so happy to see the penises that I know and love represented when Tantus announced the Uncut, and since have been so glad to see many other sex toy companies continue this awesome trend.
