Two of the things I am most passionate about as a sex toy reviewer is trying new things and featuring Australian manufacturers. I’ve found the best way to scout out both of these is at Sexpo, an annual sex convention here that I usually attend. During Sexpo 2016 I met a number of fantastic Australian manufacturers that I had never heard of before. One such company was Dare Too, the Melbourne-based creator of hand-held thruster vibrator MiaMaxx. After the convention I contacted them about reviewing the product, but this was sadly met with no response. I always remembered the toy though, as even now I haven’t tried anything like it, and was very intrigued. So recently when Femplay contacted me about reviewing some of their products, I was happily surprised to see the MiaMaxx as part of the range they stock. I requested it and they thankfully accepted, so now here I am finally reviewing it!
Review: Doc Johnson American POP! Mode Butt Plug
Back in 2016 I started a review series looking at beginner’s butt plugs that were both good quality and cheap, so that anyone new to using them would have a few options on what to start with, without breaking the bank. Butt plugs are still one of my favourite sex toys as they are a fantastic entry-level kink toy and very versatile, but sadly 2017 didn’t seem my year for them, as I only ended up reviewing one. So, to ensure that doesn’t happen again this year I wanted to start 2018 with a butt plug review right off the bat, and to bring back my ‘good quality and cheap beginner’s plugs’ series. In this regard, today’s review is on the Doc Johnson American POP! Mode silicone butt plug in 4 inches, which has been kindly sent to me by Peepshow Toys.
Review: Vibease Esthesia
If I had to name one of my favourite and most unique reviews this year then the Vibease clitoral vibrator would surely come up. I had no idea what it would be like and was more than a little cynical about its erotic audio books, but it didn’t take me long to fall in love with it. While it had its faults, namely being difficult to use without its phone app, overall I gave it a good review. After publishing it I was once again contacted by Vibease, who were pleased with the review and offered to send me their only other product, the Esthesia. This toy is essentially the same as the Vibease and is also designed for use alongside their phone app, however rather than being a clit vibe it’s a rabbit vibrator. While I have now tried two dual stimulation vibrators, the MysteryVibe Crescendo and SenseMax SenseVibe, this is the first one that actually features the traditional shape of the rabbit vibrator (without the actual rabbit), so I guess technically this is my first one! Due to this and my love for the Vibease, I have been very excited to try out the Esthesia and write this review.
Review: L’amourose Prism V
Even though I am a sex toy reviewer and it might seem like I can get whatever toy I want there is still a bunch that I desperately desire but have never had the opportunity to review, and up until now this particular toy has been at the top of that list. Even though I had never tried any products from them before, L’amourose is one of my favourite luxury sex toy manufacturers. I hear constant praise for their products and customer service, and I love the designs they come out with. A few times I have had the opportunity to review L’amourose, and so after much research I decided that the Prism V was the toy I wanted most, however all those times ultimately fell through. But when JOUJOU recently approached me and asked if I wanted to review something for them I was overjoyed when I saw they stocked the L’amourose Prism V and requested it straight away.
Review: SenseMax SenseVibe Warm
I have been buying sex toys for four years now and reviewing them for two, but I have always avoided any toys that combined clitoral and vaginal stimulation. I love the idea of them and they certainly are popular, but I have read far too many negative reviews where the clitoral arm does not sit properly on the user’s clitoris, and that wasn’t a risk I wanted to take. Even since I have been reviewing and getting toys for free I have still avoided them because I feel they are just too subjective of a toy to be able to properly recommend to my readers. The adjustable MysteryVibe Crescendo, which I reviewed earlier in the year, was the closest I’ve come to one of these toys so far, however even that didn’t work out and I was left with a motor that was too high up to reach my clit, putting me off the idea even more. But I know it is a big part of the sex toy world that both myself and my blog are missing out on, so when I was approached by SenseMax to review the SenseVibe Warm recently I decided it was finally time to face my fears and try out my first dual stimulation toy.
Review: Vibease
Usually the first time I hold a sex toy in my hands and have a quick play around with it, before I even use it properly, I can generally tell whether or not it’ll work for me. My body has a lot of personal preferences, as does everyones, and I’ve gotten to know these pretty well after two years of sex toy reviewing. I know for a dildo I like lengthy but thin A-spot orientated realistic toys, and for a vibrator I like strong rumbly vibrations paired with a soft broad head that has a lot of pressure applied to it. So when I recently received the Vibease for review, it was immediately obvious that almost everything about it was the complete opposite of my preferences, and I thought there was no way it would suit my body. But as a reviewer I love to be proven wrong, and so I jumped right into testing it just as I would with any other toy, and I was very pleasantly surprised.
