Bestvibe Brush Vibrator

The first time I saw a facial cleansing brush I was sure it was a sex toy in disguise. In fact, even now I don’t think there is another product on the market that resembles a vibrator or suction toy quite as much in regards to both appearance and function as these so called “beauty products”. It looks like I’m not the only one who thinks so either, with facial cleansers since becoming one of the most popular types of DIY types of sex toys. After all, considering the biggest difference between the two is just how socially acceptable they are, you’d be foolish not to try it out and potentially get a fully discreet sex toy free of charge. So if anything I am surprised it has taken this long to see a company take advantage of the fact and attempt to blend the two into one product, and that is exactly what Bestvibe have done with their Brush Vibrator. With the appearance of a facial cleanser, this undercover vibrator is the perfect product for those who require some privacy, with a price that won’t break the bank either.

Product Description

With all the properties of a facial cleanser, the Bestvibe Brush Vibrator is an intriguing example of a product that has been designed for one thing and then adapted for another, just like how the original Magic Wand Rechargeable started out as a back massager. Whether or not this particular design was originally intended as a facial cleanser I couldn’t tell you, but its ability to switch between the two, whether visually or in use, is what makes it so special. With a silky smooth plastic body reminiscent of the Satisfyer Pro 2, a circular bed of silicone spikes then rests where the suction nozzle would usually go. There are two kinds of spikes here (which aren’t nearly as scary as they sound), with a small area of short and firm ones in the centre, alongside longer and thus softer versions spaced out in five rows running around the outside. A motor underneath this then allows these to vibrate when the toy is turned on, causing the plate to pulsate across six modes. Two buttons under the brush can then be used to control the toy, and on the back is the magnetic connection plates for the charger. Whilst the toy sadly only comes in white, it is actually quite beautiful with its stunning pearlescent appearance, and this sense of luxury is further added to by a strip of rose gold around its lower length. As with all good sex toys the Brush Vibrator is then USB rechargeable, but unfortunately it is only splash proof rather than fully waterproof.

Packaging

Bestvibe Brush Vibrator Packaging

Bestvibe sent their Brush Vibrator out to me on the 16th of January and I received it promptly by the 25th. The package didn’t list who had sent it, but the contents were labelled as “plastic massage”, which really isn’t the most discreet, and for my full unboxing you can check this out. The box for the toy itself was then completely black, with the only thing on it being a list of few key features, although I am not even sure if they are referring to the toy, as one says “Private Mute” and another just reads “Health and safety”. Opening this up, you’re then presented with two leaflets that left me even more confused than the box. The first is a coupon for Allovers, and reads “Thank you for choosing Allovers, we hereby offer a 30% off code”. Who or what is Allovers? Well, a quick Google search suggests they’re an Amazon toy seller, but why is their coupon in my Bestvibe purchase? Well, it turns out it doesn’t matter anyway, because the coupon expired six months before I received the package. As for the second leaflet, it talks about how I have been selected to rate my purchase of a “Male Masturbator Sex Toy” on Amazon, and if I then email it to the random non-business email provided I’ll receive a free sex toy! Which is somehow even weirder than the first one, because while Allovers might also stock this white-label toy, and therefore their leaflet accidentally ended up in a box intended for Bestvibe, how did the person who placed this here not see this clearly isn’t a masturbator?! Anyway, after this the rest of the box is quite boring, with the toy just sitting in some black foam alongside its instruction manual and charging cord. Overall, this has to be some of the most confused packaging for a product I’ve ever received, and is absolutely not a good first impression of the toy, but on the upside at least it is discreet. In addition the Bestvibe Brush Vibrator also comes with a one year warranty.

Charging

Bestvibe Brush Vibrator Charging

Since the Bestvibe Brush Vibrator is USB rechargeable, charging it is easy. Simply plug one end of the cord into a USB port, and the other end will connect automatically to the magnetic plates on the back of the toy. The magnets used are relatively sturdy, but you do need to be careful when placing the toy down as they can occasionally disconnect. When charging a light on the toy will flash, and once this is complete the light will become solid. Charging should then take around 2 hours, which will give you approximately 1 hour of use, which frankly isn’t much. Finally, the Brush Vibrator also features a low-power mode, as when the toy is almost out of battery the lights on it will flash to alert you.

Controls

Bestvibe Brush Vibrator Buttons

The Bestvibe Brush Vibrator only has two buttons, making use easy. To turn the toy on or off you’ll need to hold the lower button with the power symbol on it down for two seconds, and when turning it on this will place the toy into stand-by mode, which will be indicated by the button lighting up (and thankfully this is quite bright, so you will notice it even if your thumb is fully covering the button). You can then press the other button to activate the vibrations, which will place you on the lowest steady speed, and continuing to click this will allow you to cycle through the toy’s six modes, three of which are steady speeds and four of which are patterns. Alternatively, at any time you can also put the toy into “orgasm mode” by holding down the vibration button for two seconds, but really this is just a quick way to jump to the top steady speed. After using this mode, another click of the button will then place you back to the beginning of the cycle. Overall I like all of this, and while I did feel like the power button and stand-by mode were fairly pointless, at least Bestvibe have ensured the battery won’t be drained if left on accidentally as so often happens, as the toy will turn off after 10 minutes of no use. Plus, while the orgasm mode also seems a little unnecessary, I do like to use it as a shortcut to get back to the lowest speed or if I accidentally click off the highest speed, as without it my options would either be to click through all the other modes or turn the toy off and on again.

First Impressions

Turning this toy on for the first time I was intrigued by the vibrations and the way they effect the brush, even if I didn’t have any frame of reference for whether they would be good or not. Between the three speeds the toy offers, the way the silicone plate moves is quite different, with the first making it look as if the middle of the brush is pulsating outwards, similar to tapping stimulation toys such as the Lora DiCarlo Carezza. This continues with the second level, but as the vibrations speed up the whole brush starts to move and clear pulses are no longer visible. Then with the final setting you can barely see the brush moving at all, and instead it is more similar to a traditional vibrator. As for the noise level, this is unfortunately quite loud, and so it might not be good if you do need to be discreet. But in that case at least you can just say you were using it as a facial cleanser instead!

My Experience

I really didn’t know what to expect when I tried this toy for the first time, mostly because of its brush-like surface that is like no other vibrator I own. I quickly found though that this element of texture doesn’t make a huge impact, and while it is nice to feel something different, it didn’t ultimately effect the stimulation or pleasure I received. As with the Lora DiCarlo Carezza, I then found the tapping-style pulsations of the first level uninteresting to me, but as I increased the vibrations things started to look up. Placing the Bestvibe Brush Vibrator straight on its highest steady speed has swiftly become my favourite way to use it, as the sensations it provides feels so similar to the sort of vibrations I am accustom to. With this I am then able to orgasm quickly and reliably, and even multiple orgasms are on the cards. The only downside I’ve found, at least for me, is that if you apply too much pressure to the brush, the vibrations will stop. This is fine during play, but it is something I have had to get use to during climax, as I have a tendency to press whatever I’m using against myself firmly when this happens. Because of this I do sadly find orgasms with the Brush Vibrator not as satisfying or as intense as what I am use to, but I don’t imagine this is a problem everyone will face.

Bestvibe Brush Vibrator Head

I might not have an actual facial cleanser to compare the Bestvibe Brush Vibrator to, but I thought I’d be doing the toy a disservice to not test it as such. Now, it isn’t intended for this use, but considering so many people use their cleansers as toys, I figured it would be good to see if it works both ways. So I splashed my face with some water, applied some face wash to its surface, and moved the toy across my face in circular motions whilst the vibrations ran at the lowest level. The sensations felt pleasant enough, but it wasn’t until I rinsed my face off that I could really see the results. Somewhat surprisingly, it actually worked amazingly well, and my face felt super smooth and supple like I had just exfoliated or used a face mask, and this feeling even continued into the following day. So one thing that’s for sure is that even if the Brush Vibrator doesn’t make it into my elusive toy box, it’ll certainly be making its way into my skincare routine!

Cleaning & Care

Cleaning the Bestvibe Brush Vibrator is relatively easy, but you do need to be careful to not get it too wet or to submerge it as it is only splash-proof. Just wipe the brush surface down with a little soap, and then rinse it in warm water before leaving to air dry. You can then store it however you want, such as in its original packaging. Since the brush is made out of silicone, also ensure that you do not use silicone based lubricant with it.

Final Thoughts

Bestvibe Brush Vibrator

I’ve been unsuccessful with Bestvibe’s products lately, and so I was starting to be concerned that the Brush Vibrator would once again be more gimmick than pleasure product. But while they are committed to its faux facial cleanser appearance, so much so that it could actually be used as one, I’m happy to see that it is still ultimately a vibrator at heart. With its sleek design, easy to use controls, and quick magnetic charging, there really isn’t many faults here, and most importantly of all: it felt great in use. Plus, whilst my biggest complaint was not being able to apply much pressure to it, this is very much subjective and might not be a concern you’ll share. Overall though my favourite part of this toy (other than its price) is just how discreet it is. Typically when I talk about a toy that doesn’t look like a toy, such as last week’s OSUGA Cuddly Bird, I’m talking about its ability to blend in with a room and look non-sexual from afar. But what if someone was to actually go up to the Cuddly Bird, turn it on, and ask you what it is? There really isn’t a lie that holds up in this regard, and unfortunately for some people this may be the situation that they’re in. But with the Brush Vibrator and its very real ability to be used as a facial cleanser, you’re more covered than ever, and I really hope this is something that can make a difference in people’s lives.
