My Favourite Sex Toys: 2020 Edition

Almost two years ago to this day I launched a new post series called What’s In My Toy Box?. Intended to be a “Where Are They Now?” of all the products I’ve ever reviewed, I wanted it to act as an easy guide to which toys I continue to use regularly, and thus what’s most deserving of your money. After all, just because a review was positive or an item made it onto my Top 10 Sex Toys Of The Year does not mean I’ll keep using it after the fact. As I mentioned back in 2018 however, there really isn’t much point in me producing a new one of these until my toy box has changed enough to warrant one, and I really didn’t feel like this was the case last year. But with this year’s lockdown I’ve had plenty of time to reevaluate and switch things around, and with a toy box now filled with more new toys than old ones, it seemed time to finally resurrect this series, albeit with a new name!

What’s In My Toy Box?

Welcome to a new series of posts I’m hoping to share with you all that I’m calling “What’s In My Toy Box?”. While I already have a page on my blog called “My Toy Box”, this is just a list of everything I own. But there is one big difference between all the toys on that list: some are in my bedside table drawer (which I’ll now refer to as my toy box), ready for use, and some are in storage under my bed. I review sex toys, but don’t you ever wonder what happens to them after I test them? I might give something a perfect review, but does it actually continue to get used after the fact? Occasionally things turn up in my end-of-the-year Top 10 list, but even then do those toys continue to shine after they are replaced by newer products? Really this is a “Where are they now?” post, because it’ll be taking a look at my toy box in its current state, to see what toys are still being used regularly by me. I’ll only release new posts for this series when my toy box has changed enough to warrant one, but I think these posts will probably become the best place on my blog to find out what my favourite toys are (and what’s worth spending your money on!).

Ask A Sex Toy Reviewer: Issue 2

Welcome to the second edition of Ask A Sex Toy Reviewer! I put this series together last year because I wanted to hear from you, my readers, and find out what queries or questions you had about anything from sex toys, sexual health, how to run a blog, to even myself! I’ve been collecting questions ever since then, and recently put out a call for more during my Third Blogiversary Giveaway! I was totally overwhelmed by the amount of great questions I received during this, but due to illness I was unfortunately not able to get round to these until now. Here’s a few of my favourites, and hopefully I’ll be getting Issue 3 out soon so I can address even more!

Ask A Sex Toy Reviewer: Issue 1

Welcome to my first edition of Ask A Sex Toy Reviewer! In this series I want to hear directly from you, my readers, and find out what queries or questions you guys have about anything from sex toys, sexual health, how to run a sex blog, to even myself! I initially put out the call for questions during my Valentine’s Day Giveaway earlier this year, and was so overwhelmed by the great responses! Due to the questions I got asked I decided to put together my recent Sex Toy Materials Guide, which answers many of the queries you folks had, and soon I’ll also be publishing a similar guide on lube. But there are still plenty of questions left over that won’t be covered in those guides, so I’ll be answering them here in this new series. This’ll run whenever I have enough questions for a post, but I’ll be limiting it to once a month. So without further ado, here they are!

Top New Sex Toys I Want In 2017

Alright, so March might be a little late to write about what toys I am most excited for this year, but I think we can all agree that 2017 is going pretty damn fast! Plus, I was clearly just waiting to hear more about what’s coming out this year rather than just being too lazy to write this any earlier. Basically each year brings about the chances for more ridiculously crappy sex toys to be brought into the world, and, by contrast, more amazingly fantastic sex toys. In these crazy and often emotionally draining times we live in right now, good sex toys are becoming more important than ever and I have my fingers crossed that this’ll be a good year for the industry despite everything. So in this post I want to take a look at some of my favourite toys that came out in 2016 and early 2017 that I haven’t had the chance to try out yet, as well as toys that have been announced but currently aren’t available for purchase.

2016 Blog Wrap-Up

Wow did 2016 just fly by! This was my second year running Princess Previews and it feels like I have achieved so much in such a small time. I would say that this year was basically separated into two sections, pre 1st Blogiversary in May and post. Before May this year I ran the blog the same way I did in 2015, as more of an occasional hobby to run alongside my porn work. My aim was to complete only one review a month (sometimes not even that) and while I had worked with a few companies I had never personally pursued or asked for toys to review before. While organising my Blogiversary however, I realised how much I deeply loved running the blog, and that a few things needed to change. I quit my adult work to give myself more time to work on the blog, as well as to free up my social media for blogging related news and info only. I decided I wanted to put more focus on my Australian readers and switched to using AUD and the metric system. I also redesigned the blog’s theme, which I’m still very happy with. Lastly I very nervously started approaching companies for review items and made a new goal of two reviews per month.
