After a lovely break over the last few weeks I’m feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to get back to reviewing! So to kick things off I thought we’d take a look at a toy I teased a fair bit last year and that is the follow-up to my previous review featuring the Cosmopolitan G-Spot Romance. That’s right, it’s finally time for my review of the Cosmopolitan Enchantment Bullet, the second toy from the popular magazine’s new range that My Little Secret were kind enough to send me recently. Now, I quite enjoyed the G-Spot Romance, but the biggest issue I faced with it was that I felt its luxury price tag did not reflect what was essentially a very basic vibrator. The Enchantment Bullet on the other hand is a lot more reasonable, as with a price of $59.95 AUD / $42 USD this toy costs about the same, if not less, as a lot of other bullet vibrators of its kind. Still, after my review of the G-Spot Romance I couldn’t help but feel less than confident with the Cosmopolitan range, but that just made me even more eager to try out the Enchantment Bullet to see if it would be able to help renew my excitement for this brand.
Product Description
The Cosmopolitan Enchantment Bullet is about as basic as a sex toy as you can get, and is pretty much just your regular every-day bullet vibrator. There is one major difference between it and other bullets of a similar style however, and that is that it is USB rechargeable rather than battery powered. So whilst it has the appearance of the weak bullets you often get for free with some toys, it is actually more on par with toys like the We-Vibe Tango and Nu Sensuelle Point in terms of functionality. Even with this in mind though I do still find the product’s appearance rather off-putting and hard to take seriously, as its small bullet-shaped design and bright pink reflective ABS plastic just screams low-quality to me (unsurprisingly it also comes in purple). On one end there is a silicone area which features a single button to control the toy with as well the connection point for the charger. There is then also a Cosmopolitan logo located at this end, and just above this is a visible seam, however this cannot be opened. Finally, this toy is only water-resistant and not anal safe.
Packaging
My order for the Cosmopolitan Enchantment Bullet was placed with My Little Secret around the start of October and I received it on the 11th. The package was completely discreet, with no mention of the sender or what was inside. The actual box for the toy was then pretty much exactly the same as the G-Spot Romance, which was fine as I enjoy consistent branding, but as the Bullet is far smaller than the Romance I thought having the boxes be the same size was a bit of a waste of packaging. Made from hard cardboard and featuring a luxurious white and gold colour scheme, you can then slide out an inner compartment from the box to reveal the contents, which were the toy, a charging cord, a very brief and small instruction sheet, a warranty information sheet (which is a five year replacement warranty), and a final information sheet which offers you a code and instructions to redeem a free Cosmopolitan magazine subscription (however this is expired and was only valid in the UK anyway). As with before I am happy with the packaging despite how oversized it is, however still found the expired subscription and brief instructions quite unappealing.
Charging
Charging the Cosmopolitan Enchantment Bullet is easy as it is USB rechargeable. Just plug one end into a USB port and the other end into the charging hole at the end of the toy. The toy arrives with a partial charge, but Cosmo recommend you fully charge it before use, and to not over charge it. When charging a light on the toy will flash, and once done this light will remain solid. Charging should then take about 2 hours, and this will give you around 2 hours of play time.
Controls
There is only one button on this toy so I thought controlling it would be very simple and similar to the way the Cosmopolitan G-Spot Romance worked, which also only had one button. However this is not the case, and as such I was quite surprised the first time I turned it on! I’ve tested a few toys with odd controls lately, but I think this one has to take the cake as the weirdest. Essentially, when you first turn this toy on, by holding the button down for two seconds, you’ll be placed on the highest steady speed. You can then continue to click the button to decrease the speed by two more levels, before changing over to the toy’s seven pattern modes. So basically, while every other toy has their vibrations in ascending order, this one chooses to do it in descending order. Now, I don’t know about you, but when I masturbate I like to start off at a low speed and then slowly work my way up, so this made me pretty concerned about how I was going to go about using this toy.
First Impressions
Other than its price, the biggest issue for me with the Cosmopolitan G-Spot Romance was its vibrations, which I found to be overwhelmingly buzzy. Thankfully it all worked out alright in that review, as I was able to enjoy the toy without the vibrations, but it did make me a little concerned for the Bullet as not only are my expectations higher when it comes to clitoral vibrations, but I’m also not able to use the toy without them. As such I was nervous to turn this toy on for the first time to see what the vibrations were like, and unfortunately it seems I was right to be. While this toy is certainly more powerful than I expected, it is also very buzzy, particularly on its highest level. This is then only made worse due to the hard ABS plastic that it is made with, which always seems to heighten any buzziness that a toy’s motor already has. Another issue is then the product’s noise level, which is probably one of the loudest I’ve heard for a bullet vibrator, and as such I would not recommend this if privacy is important to you.
My Experience
After realising the issues with both the toy’s controls and vibrations I was a bit nervous to start testing the Enchantment Bullet, but eager for the challenge at the same time. While the vibrations are certainly buzzy, I’m happy to report that overall I think the toy’s powerful motor won out, as I found I was able to orgasm relatively easily and achieve a lot of pleasure using the Enchantment Bullet either solo or in combination with insertable toys. As such the biggest issue during use was definitely the controls, as having to turn it off and on every time I wanted to increase the strength was not only incredibly frustrating, but also completely took me out of the moment every time I felt like I was really enjoying it (and thus wanted to turn the speed up). In addition, I also found that rather than being centred on the tip of the toy, the vibrations affected its entire body, which meant my hand was always left feeling super numb and tingly after use.
Cleaning & Care
Cleaning the Cosmopolitan Enchantment Bullet is easy since it is made from ABS plastic, however since it is only water-resistant you do need to put in a bit more care than usual to ensure it doesn’t get submerged or too wet. I recommend just wiping it down with some soapy water, rinsing it, and then leaving it to air dry. Then, since it is an external toy and the plastic doesn’t attract dust, you can really just store it however you want. Finally, as the area where the button is located is made from silicone, make sure to not use silicone-based lubricant, as the two may react badly with one another.
Final Thoughts
Overall I’ve enjoyed testing the Cosmopolitan Enchantment Bullet, but, like its sister toy the G-Spot Romance, it does have some issues that I feel need to be addressed before it can be considered a luxury toy. While I don’t think the price tag for this toy is as absurd as the Romance, I do think that for the price it is it should at least be waterproof and feature a far more quiet motor. However, the biggest problem, and the reason I’ll be unlikely to continue my use of the Enchantment Bullet, was the backwards controls, which are so odd that I can’t help but wondering if my toy is just malfunctioning (since the controls aren’t specifically mentioned in the instructions). But maybe I’m wrong, and maybe there is someone out there who enjoys their vibrations in descending order. So, if that’s you, then you’re in luck! Otherwise, considering you can get the Nu Sensuelle Point, one of my favourite bullet vibrators, for almost the same price as the Enchantment Bullet, it makes it hard for me to recommend.
Sadly, the Cosmopolitan Enchantment Bullet has now been discontinued.

Good
A good beginner's bullet vibrator, however the price tag does not reflect this.

How to charge this? Do I stick the charger in the end through the rubber?
That’s correct!
