I’m not really an internal vibrator kind of girl. Maybe that is because I only own one, but I just don’t really see the appeal to it. I just like having something vibrate my clitoris while something else thrusts inside my vagina, it’s nature’s magic combo after all. But if you imagine the sex toy market without any internal vibrators you are really just left with dildos for internal stimulation, and while dildos are absolutely great and do come in a huge variety of shapes, sizes and textures, you’re kind of left wanting something more. So when I heard about Fun Factory’s line of Stronic Pulsators, a vibrator-looking toy that uses magnets to thrust back and forth inside you, I was hooked and have been eager to get my hands on the Fun Factory Stronic Eins ever since. It was as if they read my mind and made the perfect toy for me!
The Fun Factory Stronic Eins is the first of three in Fun Factory’s first-of-a-kind pulsator range (the others being the Stronic Zwei and Drei). They really are sex toy innovation at its best, these toys aren’t just the usual new gimmick you see companies come out with every now and then, but instead a completely new type of toy I can’t wait to see grow. As a pioneer in this new kind of technology the Stronic Eins isn’t without some faults, but it certainly delivers enough punch to keep me coming back for more.
The Brand
The Stronic Eins is made by Fun Factory, a german based luxury toy manufacturer who make some of the most gorgeous silicone toys imaginable which always seem to find their way to the top of my wishlist. They have a great range of vibrators, dildos and anal toys, but it is their pulsators that really cemented their place in the sex toy world. They use internal magnets that move back and forth within the toy to create a thrusting feeling whilst you’re using it. It may look just like a normal vibrator, but once turned on it becomes quite obvious that this is a very different kind of toy.
Product Description
Firstly the Fun Factory Stronic Eins is a pretty neat size of just 23.8 cm and 3.5 cm in diameter, meaning I can fit it with almost no warm up required. The toy uses Fun Factory’s signature draggy silicone (so lots of lube is required), and ABS plastic on the handle. Since it has internal things going on, I was surprised to find that it actually has quite a thick layer of silicone allowing for it to have some squish, which I really love compared to the usual hard silicone of most vibrator type toys. The shape in general is great and it has clearly been designed with maximising pleasure in mind rather than just trying to make it look cool. The tip and ridge are both made completely from the silicone which makes insertion easy and provides clitoral stimulation. Plus it just feels good to hold and definitely has the aura of a luxury sex toy around it. In regards to design I would say its only flaw is that it might be a little heavy for some, weighing in at 369g, but that is understandable since there is so much going on inside, and for me personally it’s fine.
The Fun Factory Stronic Eins features everything you would expect from a luxury toy, it is 100% water proof, USB rechargeable, has three buttons, a travel lock and 10 different modes. To use the toy you must first take it out the travel lock (hold down the ‘Fun’ and + buttons for .5 seconds), and then charge the toy by connecting the magnetic charger to the base of the toy. The buttons will then light up one by one indicating how charged it is. This is the first time I’ve experienced a toy that allows you to get an idea of its charging progress, which I think is a really neat idea and makes the wait process a lot easier. Plus I’ve used my Stronic Eins plenty of times in preparation for this review, and I’ve only had to charge it once so far, so I think it is safe to say it holds its charge for quite a while. To turn it on and off press the ‘Fun’ button for .5 seconds which puts it into its ‘Perfect Start’ mode which is just a basic pulsation. After that you have a choice of either the ‘Algorithmic’ (fast patterned pulses), ‘Constant’ (gradually faster pulses) or ‘Dynamic’ (patterns) mode, which you can access by pressing the + or – buttons. The other two toys in this range are the Zwei, which is designed for anal, and the Drei, which is heavily textured, if these sound more up your alley.
Packaging
As always Cupid‘s Cupboard had great service in delivering this product, with it arriving quickly (sent on the 2nd and received on the 7th) and discreetly. The actual Fun Factory packaging is top quality as I would expect from a luxury toy manufacturer. The outside cover is sleek, textured and SFW (aside from the pictures of the toy). Inside that is a golden box that only has Fun Factory’s logo and tagline on it, and then inside you’ll find the toy surrounded by Fun Factory’s signature red. The only thing this toy doesn’t have that you would expect from a luxury manufacturer is its own storage bag. For some toys that don’t pick up lint this can be excused, but Fun Factory’s silicone is a notorious hair-magnet, so the idea that I’ll be storing away my luxury toy in a zip lock bag isn’t the most tasteful.
My Experience
So first up, what do I think of the Fun Factory Stronic Eins without its fancy pulsations? Well it is pretty damn good. I’m a big fan of squishy dildos, so it couldn’t beat some of my favourites in that regard, but because it does have a slight amount of squish I definitely enjoyed it far more than any of my firmer silicone or glass dildos. I’m really happy they decided to include such thick and soft silicone because I feel like the same design with firmer silicone would not have made my vagina very happy. Because of the curve of its tip I really thought this would be quite good at stimulating my G-spot, but sadly I was disappointed here. However, my G-spot is an elusive one, and I’ve heard good things from other bloggers about the Eins’ G-spotting abilities, so I wouldn’t totally rule this form of stimulation out for everybody. The thing I have found I like most about this toy however is its ridge near the end of the shaft. It doesn’t look that special and I didn’t really think much of it when I got the toy, but I’ve found that if I rub it against my clit when I use the toy it feels really quite amazing. Of course the length and girth of the toy feel great too and once coated adequately in lube the silicone really feels awesome to have inside of you.
Next is what makes this toy really special, the pulses. Now, I love to thrust and if I am using a dildo or vibrator it is what I love to do with it. Not everybody uses internal sex toys this way, but it is my preference, and so with that in mind I would say the Fun Factory Stronic Eins is designed for users like me. To me the idea that the Stronic Eins could take over this act and instead allow me to fully concentrate on stimulating my clitoris or watching porn is fantastic. When I first held the Eins I was really surprised and impressed by just how much it thrusts. I think it is something you’ll have to experience to understand, but when I say it thrusts, I mean it thrusts. Using it while inside me works just as well and feels good, however it definitely doesn’t replace or replicate my own thrusting (or feel like actual sex, which it claims it does, but I did not expect this anyway). As much as this frustrates me, really this was my own personal hopes for the toy, not what it is designed to do. Instead what it is designed for is to stimulate, and it certainly achieves this! It provides a unique sensation I haven’t felt before and I prefer it vasty over internal vibrations. My favourite way to use it is by pushing the handle down so it angles towards my G-spot, since even though it doesn’t quite reach I can still get some good stimulation there. I would imagine that if you are lucky enough to have it hit your G-spot directly then this would feel out of this world!
Cleaning & Care
Maintenance for the Fun Factory Stronic Eins is pretty straight forward since it is waterproof. Just wash it down after every use with some warm water and mild soap or toy cleaner. The only area you really need to watch out for when cleaning is the seam between the silicone and the handle in case any fluids get stuck there. Since it attracts a lot of dust it might also be a good idea to clean it before use if needed. I store mine in a spare storage bag, but if you don’t have any free you can use a zip lock bag. Because of the roughness of the silicone, expect to need to reapply lube often during play sessions, and only use water-based lubricant (or perform a spot test before trying any alternative lubes).
Final Thoughts
Overall I am happy with the Fun Factory Stronic Eins and it has quickly become one of my favourites to grab from my toy box. While it didn’t meet my expectations that it would completely take over thrusting for me, it was still a solid idea and design that does exactly what it was built to: stimulate through pulses! Even without using it as a pulsator the Stronic Eins still makes for a great dildo, and if you enjoy internal vibrations then I think this is certainly something you need to try. I throughly look forward to seeing this technology advance and testing whatever comes next, hats off to Fun Factory!
Sadly, the Fun Factory Stronic Eins has now been discontinued, making way for Fun Factory’s current line of Stronic Pulsators!
