Once again the holiday season has hit, and I’m feeling extra excited for it this year! I’ve had a long year of ups and downs, but now I’m on the mend and trying my best to treat myself as a reward for getting through it all. So if there is any day of the year to really treat yourself, it’s definitely Black Friday. Of course this day is fantastic to pick up all types of items on the cheap, but sex toys in particular really thrive on this day, with it easily being the biggest sales day of the year for the adult industry. So if you’ve had your eye on something special lately or just need an upgrade, I’d recommend following my footsteps and treating yourself!
I feel like I’ve had some pretty good luck with sex toys this year, which is almost surprising since I’ve mostly been testing products from lesser-known brands, rather than the usual big industry players. It’s taught me to not judge a book by its cover, or in this case a sex toy by its manufacturer’s reputation, or lack thereof. On that note, today’s review is on the Adorime Rabbit, a G-Spot and clitoral vibrator with two motors for dual stimulation. I hadn’t heard of Adorime previously to them contacting me, but they’ve actually been manufacturing products in China since 2015, and have since signed on as one of my blog’s sponsors! I’ve really enjoyed working alongside their company during this time, and so was eager to also try out one of their products for the blog. Welcome to a new series of posts I’m hoping to share with you all that I’m calling “What’s In My Toy Box?”. While I already have a page on my blog called “My Toy Box”, this is just a list of everything I own. But there is one big difference between all the toys on that list: some are in my bedside table drawer (which I’ll now refer to as my toy box), ready for use, and some are in storage under my bed. I review sex toys, but don’t you ever wonder what happens to them after I test them? I might give something a perfect review, but does it actually continue to get used after the fact? Occasionally things turn up in my end-of-the-year Top 10 list, but even then do those toys continue to shine after they are replaced by newer products? Really this is a “Where are they now?” post, because it’ll be taking a look at my toy box in its current state, to see what toys are still being used regularly by me. I’ll only release new posts for this series when my toy box has changed enough to warrant one, but I think these posts will probably become the best place on my blog to find out what my favourite toys are (and what’s worth spending your money on!).
Podcasts are one of the fastest growing content mediums these days, and in our ever busy lives it is easy to understand why. They offer an opportunity to entertain and educate us during our long commutes, boring work routines, and even manage to make household chores more interesting. Plus, in 2018 we are especially spoilt for choice when it comes to finding a podcast to listen to, it seems like there is one for everything! I’ve got to admit though that personally I don’t listen to that many podcasts. My days tend to be made up of managing social media accounts and writing from home, which is generally too involved to be able to listen to podcasts regularly. But whenever I’m doing an absent-minded task such as cleaning or painting, one of my favourite things to do alongside it is to put on a good podcast. My favourite topic is sex (obviously), so I was really excited when The Ersties Podcast contacted me recently about reviewing their show. Being able to listen to a podcast for work is probably one of the best things ever, plus it made doing the spring cleaning this year a lot more fun!
Welcome to the second edition of Ask A Sex Toy Reviewer! I put this series together last year because I wanted to hear from you, my readers, and find out what queries or questions you had about anything from sex toys, sexual health, how to run a blog, to even myself! I’ve been collecting questions ever since then, and recently put out a call for more during my Third Blogiversary Giveaway! I was totally overwhelmed by the amount of great questions I received during this, but due to illness I was unfortunately not able to get round to these until now. Here’s a few of my favourites, and hopefully I’ll be getting Issue 3 out soon so I can address even more!
I don’t think I’ve ever doubted a sex toy more than with the Satisfyer Pro G-Spot Rabbit (also known as the Satisfyer Pro + G-Spot), as soon as I saw it I thought it was a bad idea. I’m automatically suspicious of all rabbit style vibrators, because it can be so hard to find one that will actually suit your body. Companies who make them seem to assume the distance between the clitoris and vaginal opening, and if you don’t fit into that measurement, or the small window of flexibility that some offer, then you’re probably going to be down a hundred bucks and left with a vibrator you can’t use. Certainly if you find one that does suit your body then they can be amazing, and I have actually had some pretty good luck with the rabbit style vibes I have tried so far, but as a blogger I feel unprofessional recommending toys that I know probably won’t work for a lot of people, even if it does work for me. Then bring Satisfyer’s suction-style toysinto the picture, a range of products that I have trouble placing on my clitoris when it’s the only thing I have to do… yeah, that doesn’t sound like the best match. But, Satisfyer do seem to continually prove me wrong and have produced nothing but astounding toys so far, so I thought I should at least give them some credit and try out their latest innovation, who knows, maybe it’ll surprise me.
