Review: MysteryVibe Crescendo

It is not often a sex toy gains the amount of popularity that the MysteryVibe Crescendo achieved before it was even released. What started as a crowd funding campaign in 2005, the Crescendo quickly became seen as the next big thing in sex toys by both bloggers and the sex-positive general public alike. The idea of a bendable sex toy with six motors instantly made headlines, and its innovative design of a gender neutral and fully customisable vibrator that could be adjusted to suit the user’s preferences was much welcomed and endorsed by sex bloggers, including me. Plus, combined with its app and six motors (yes, that wasn’t a typo) you can even customise and design your own vibration styles and patterns. The seemingly only downside to the toy was its material, which was TPE, but they have now changed this to wonderful body-safe silicone, making what seemed like a already pretty perfect toy even better!

Review: Tantus Uncut #1

This is my first review of 2017 and this year I’ve got a lot of big goals for the blog. One of them is trying to diversify my posts and review products. Different types of toys, writing more about my opinions on certain topics rather than just reviews, and so forth. So, on that note, even though it’s a little bit of a stretch, I thought that this sex toy would be the perfect way to kick off the year. The Tantus Uncut #1 represents a step forward in dildo diversity. If you hadn’t noticed, this particular dildo is uncircumcised and features a foreskin. I’ve read a lot of reviews on this toy before deciding to get one, and bloggers often talk about how they have never had a uncircumcised partner before, but that is because the majority of them are from the US where around 80% of penises are circumcised. I, on the other hand, live in Australia where only around 30% of penises are circumcised, so as you can imagine all my partners have been ‘uncut’. This also explains why you’ve likely never seen a uncircumcised dildo or penis in the media before, because the majority of our porn and sex toys come from the US! I was so happy to see the penises that I know and love represented when Tantus announced the Uncut, and since have been so glad to see many other sex toy companies continue this awesome trend.

Welcome to my guide of the Top 10 Sex Toys of 2016 that I have had the pleasure to review. This post features toys I have reviewed this year, whether they are a few years old or brand spanking new. Originally this post was drafted in early November, naively I somehow thought that I could get it out of the way early, with perhaps a few changes here and there, but overall the list wouldn’t change too much. Oh, how wrong I was. Instead the list has been changing up until the last minute, and I’ve desperately been trying to get through as much of my review queue as possible before this post came out so I could get everything squeezed in.

2016 Blog Wrap-Up

Wow did 2016 just fly by! This was my second year running Princess Previews and it feels like I have achieved so much in such a small time. I would say that this year was basically separated into two sections, pre 1st Blogiversary in May and post. Before May this year I ran the blog the same way I did in 2015, as more of an occasional hobby to run alongside my porn work. My aim was to complete only one review a month (sometimes not even that) and while I had worked with a few companies I had never personally pursued or asked for toys to review before. While organising my Blogiversary however, I realised how much I deeply loved running the blog, and that a few things needed to change. I quit my adult work to give myself more time to work on the blog, as well as to free up my social media for blogging related news and info only. I decided I wanted to put more focus on my Australian readers and switched to using AUD and the metric system. I also redesigned the blog’s theme, which I’m still very happy with. Lastly I very nervously started approaching companies for review items and made a new goal of two reviews per month.

Review: O-WAND

Wand massagers are kinda my thing, and nothing makes me happier than getting more. I have a bunch on my wishlist from reading reviews by my fellow bloggers, but nothing gets me more excited in the sex toy world then when a new massager comes out. Every new toy has the opportunity for it to be the next big thing, for it to beat out my current favourites and take a prized spot in my bedside table drawer. So when the O-WAND was announced and I was contacted about reviewing it I was over-the-moon excited to see if it would be able to live up to the high expectations the creators have set.
