It is not often a sex toy gains the amount of popularity that the MysteryVibe Crescendo achieved before it was even released. What started as a crowd funding campaign in 2005, the Crescendo quickly became seen as the next big thing in sex toys by both bloggers and the sex-positive general public alike. The idea of a bendable sex toy with six motors instantly made headlines, and its innovative design of a gender neutral and fully customisable vibrator that could be adjusted to suit the user’s preferences was much welcomed and endorsed by sex bloggers, including me. Plus, combined with its app and six motors (yes, that wasn’t a typo) you can even customise and design your own vibration styles and patterns. The seemingly only downside to the toy was its material, which was TPE, but they have now changed this to wonderful body-safe silicone, making what seemed like a already pretty perfect toy even better!
Review: Sex Wooden Toys Afrodite
Over the last few months I’ve had the pleasure to review such a diverse range of toys from both large-scale and independent manufacturers. I’ve sought out new materials to try, recently reviewing a stone dildo and with a stainless steel toy review also currently in the works, as well as receiving toys from a range of different locations such as Spain, England, Germany and Norway. So when independent company Sex Wooden Toys from Italy contacted me about reviewing one of their handmade wooden sex toys I jumped on the chance and requested their beautiful Afrodite dildo.
Review: IMTOY Zoo Gazelle
I’m a self-proclaimed Wand Girl. If I was told I could only use one type of sex toy I would instantly tell you I want to be able to use wand massagers without any hesitation. Recently I’ve fulfilled my initial wand-owning goals, by now having both a Doxy Die Cast and a Magic Wand Rechargeable. These beauties are the core two wands of the sex blogging world, as well as my own. Now that I have them though I’m left wanting to experience what else the massager market has to offer and see if I can find anything that lives up to my clitoris’s spoiled standards. So I was really delighted to be contacted by IMTOY who have recently launched their new range of sex toys, the Zoo collection, which included a wand massager. I instantly fell in love with their design for it and they were kind enough to send me one to play around with.
Review: Laid D.1 Stone Dildo
I’ve always been very interested in the healing and enhancement properties that come with different types of stones or crystals. I have very fond memories as a kid of picking out stones that were supposed to help me in certain areas, such as ‘improves your art’ or ‘helps you make friends’, and I still have a rather large collection. As such, I have lusted after the stone collection of toys from Laid ever since I first saw them. Unfortunately Laid products are both expensive and not very common to see in Australia, so they quickly fell to the bottom of my wishlist. Last month however I announced my partnership and affiliation with Australian retailer JOUJOU. As part of this I was able to choose a product from their range to review, and you can imagine my excitement when I saw they stocked Laid. I was most interested in their original dildo design, the Laid D.1 Stone, and set about eagerly waiting for it to arrive.
Mini Review: JO Toy Cleaner
In 2015 I wrote a mini review about my toy cleaner at the time, the Pjur Med Clean Spray. I loved that little spray, enough to write a review on it, but its 100ml didn’t last me long and so in November last year at Sexpo I planned to buy another. Sadly after a lot of searching I found that no-one at Sexpo stocked my beloved spray, and so, annoyed, I sulked over to the JO stand and picked up one of their toy cleaners, sure that it wouldn’t compare to my Pjur and deciding I would need to order some online when I had the money. Now flash forward to just-about-November 2016 with this years Sexpo coming up and I can’t wait to buy more of JO’s cleaner! I still prefer the ease of Pjur’s spray-on type cleaner, it was quick and convenient, but JO’s foam style has lasted me so much longer and is so much better for your money that I wouldn’t want anything else.
Review: Satisfyer Pro 2
If I had to name one sex toy that was all the rage back in 2015 when I was still a newbie reviewer, it would definitely have to be Womanizer’s oral sex stimulator. This unique new sex toy that created a suction feeling around the clitoris in order to give off the feeling of cunnilingus put sex toy reviewers in a frenzy, with it being unanimously loved for its exceptional oral sex stimulating and orgasm skills, while also being hated for its name, cringe-worthy designs, and price. Since I was still starting up when it came out I never got the chance to try it despite being a lover of all things clitoral stimulation, plus it was far too expensive for me to buy personally. This year, however, saw the launch of the Satisfyer Pro 2, a cheaper and more stylish looking product (although still a slightly cringe-worthy name) that mimicked the technology used on the Womanizer. With its much more reasonable price I patiently waited for it to arrive in Australia so I could buy one for myself and finally find out what all the fuss was about, but I was lucky enough to be contacted by Mimi De Luxe first and asked if I would like to try one when the first shipment came in.
