I’ve been reviewing vibrators from Chinese white-label retailers, such as Bestvibe, Adorime and Paloqueth, for many years now. While their designs may be pretty out there and websites often lack proper translation, the products themselves are typically great quality for the amount you pay. Plus, at the end of the day, these sorts of budget options that are primarily sold through sites like Amazon are always going to be much more widely purchased than the hundred-dollar sex toys I often find myself reviewing. But there has been one aspect of all of these stores that I have avoided till now, and that is their range of dildos. Dildos, unlike vibrators, are much more likely to be secretly made from non-body safe materials, and I have never quite trusted that this won’t be the case with these retailers. More and more lately I’ve been receiving messages from readers who have noticed my affiliation with these sites though and want to know my thoughts on their “silicone” toys, and it just hasn’t felt right that I continue to support these companies whilst also harbouring these kinds of concerns. So, that was when I decided it was finally time to take one for the team, and I requested the Realistic Dildo from Bestvibe. I figured, if it is silicone then it’ll be a great budget-friendly option to recommend to people, and if it is not then I won’t be able to test and review it anyway, plus I’ll know to cease my support.
Silicone?
Since you’re reading this review, you can probably already guess the outcome of my little experiment. After I received the Bestvibe Realistic Dildo I decided to flame test it, which is a method commonly used to determine whether something is truly made out of silicone. I chose to do this only on the ballsack portion of the toy, so that I would still be able to test and review it later if necessary. You can see a full record of my tests here, but ultimately I concluded that the material that this toy is made out of is indeed silicone. The only thing that was not consistent with burning silicone was a firecracker-style effect when the flame was placed on broad areas of toy, and I feel this may have something to do with whatever the product has been coated with, however Bestvibe have been unwilling to answer my questions relating to what this is. Still, even this wasn’t enough of a reason to determine it unsuitable for use. Now my review is complete however I may resume testing, and will edit this review with any further results.
Product Description
Material concerns aside, the Bestvibe Realistic Dildo is certainly a very unique toy. Truly living up to its namesake, this dildo is extremely realistic, and could quite possibly be mistaken for a real penis under the right circumstances. Unsurprisingly cast from a real model, every inch of this toy is textured, from the usual raised veins and pronounced head, to the most minor of details, such as wrinkles and pores. Bestvibe have even gone so far as to hand-paint details on to add further depth and emphasis to some of the features. Not to mention the large ballsack at the end of the toy, which is incredibly wrinkled. The main thing that attracted me to this dildo over all of the others on the Bestvibe website however, is that this is dual-density, which is a feature I absolutely adore. A way of making toys feel more realistic, basically it means that while the inner core of the toy is firm, the outside is soft, and it makes a surprisingly big difference to the feel of a product during use. While this isn’t the best example of it that I’ve seen, since the outer layer is quite thin and almost too squishy, it still really helps to take this toy to another level. More expensive to produce than a typical silicone dildo however, this was another reason I suspected that this toy may not be what it seemed.
A big problem with the Bestvibe Realistic Dildo though, and what really ruins the illusion of realism for me, is the feel of the silicone’s surface. On the Bestvibe website it states that the toy is coated in something that makes it “dust-proof” (again, they couldn’t tell me what) and that this allows the surface to be “not sticky”, but instead I find it to be the exact opposite. Not only is it very tacky and sticky (a word I’m not sure I’ve ever used to describe a dildo with before), but it also attracts dust quicker than any other toy I’ve ever seen. This, combined with its glossy surface (which the coating is also likely responsible for), makes the toy ultimately quite off-putting, which is a shame since it would otherwise be quite something. Finally, with an insertable length of 17cm / 6.7″ and a diameter of 4cm / 1.6″ at its widest point, this toy is slightly larger than what I typically use, and in addition to its suction cup it is also anal-safe and harness compatible.
Packaging
My order with Bestvibe for the Realistic Dildo was placed on the 12th of May and I received it promptly on the 26th, which was great considering the current COVID-19 shipping delays. The box was then also fully discreet, with no mention of its contents or who had sent it. My previous two Bestvibe products have come with very discreet packaging, being stored in primarily blank black boxes with no suggestion of their contents, so I was expecting something similar for this, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The box for the Realistic Dildo literally screams dildo, considering it is written in huge bold letters across three sides of the box. A tagline that says “Love my dildo, enjoy perfect life” is then written underneath this, whilst other areas of the box detail its features. Thankfully though there is no actual photos of the toy included on the box, which is the only thing that I think could make it worse. Inside the packaging you can then find the toy wrapped in some plastic, but otherwise alone. Even though I do not think a dildo needs instructions, I must admit that I was expecting some, as the Bestvibe website specifies that a user manual is included with this product. Overall this was all fine though, especially for the price paid, but more discreet packaging would have been appreciated.
Suction Cup
The suction cup on the Bestvibe Realistic Dildo seems to be made entirely of the firm silicone that is used for the inner core, and as such does not feature the same glossy coating as the rest of the toy. In use it is incredibly sturdy and strong when attached to smooth surfaces, easily sticking for long periods of time and when under stress, and should be perfect if you enjoy incorporating suction cups into your play.
My Experience
Typically for a toy of this size I would need to warm up with a smaller dildo first, but thankfully due to head being comprised entirely of soft silicone (the firm core starts just under it) I am able to insert it without any prior arousal, and then slowly work my way down the rest of its length (this act in itself being rather erotic, as I am so use to the most difficult part of the toy to insert being the head). When I want to make things even easier though, a little bit of time spent with the Funkit Toys NoFrillDo R or the Tantus Pack ‘n Play No.2 goes a long way. Additionally, I did assume that the sticky surface of the Realistic Dildo would cause issues during the initial insertion, but I am glad to say that once the toy has been sufficiently lubed up this is not the case.
As a lover of realistic dildos and dual density silicone, this toy is a real pleasure to use. The combination of a soft head yet firm shaft really does work to feel like a real penis, while the subtle textural details add depth whilst not being too overwhelming. Even the soft outer layer of the shaft, despite how thin it is, makes a big difference, as I can satisfyingly squeeze my muscles against it and experience a feeling of fullness without the unnaturalness of firm single-density toys. While Bestvibe’s product page lists the Realistic Dildo as being designed for G-Spot stimulation, I knew this was never going to work with my notoriously hard to please vagina, and unsurprisingly it doesn’t. However it does have the ability to reach my A-Spot, and it can give me some great stimulation there. Plus, whilst suction cups aren’t really my thing, I do love using them as a handle, and found this really comfortable to hold and easy to manoeuvre the toy with. The main downside regarding the Realistic Dildo during use though is definitely the ballsack, as this doesn’t really add anything (Bestvibe recommend turning the toy upside down, so that the balls “hit your clitoris while thrusting”, but then I wouldn’t be able to use a clit vibe), but the weight of it means that every time I let go of the toy it slowly falls out of me, and this can be quite uncomfortable and sometimes even painful. While an easy fix, it does mean that not only can I not use this product hands-free, but that I have to be constantly holding it, which is particularly frustrating when with my partner. Combining this toy with a good clitoral vibrator though, such as the Dame Kip or Hot Octopuss AMO, pretty much guarantees a good time, and overall I’ve had some great orgasms with this product.
Cleaning & Care
Cleaning the Bestvibe Realistic Dildo is easily the biggest downside to this toy, since it is so intensely textured that you need to put quite a lot of time and effort into it after each use. I’d recommend first soaking it in some warm soapy water and then scrubbing it all over with a spare toothbrush. Be particularly careful around the veins and skin folds near the head, as this is where bacteria is most likely to hide. After this rinse the toy with hot water, leave to air dry, and then return it to storage, for which I’d highly recommend a sealed zip-lock bag to avoid it attracting dust. I’d then also suggest sterilising the toy after every few uses just to make sure it’s 100% clean. Bestvibe don’t seem to have any recommendations online for sterilising their toys, but if their silicone behaves the same as most then you should be able to either boil it, put it in the dishwasher, or a few other methods as listed in my Cleaning Guide. Lastly, make sure to only use water-based lubricants with this product, as others may have negative effects on the silicone.
Final Thoughts
I love realistic dildos, and for quite some time now I’ve been on the search for those with even more detail than what I already have to add to my collection. Unfortunately though these sorts of toys can get quite pricey, and so till now I had just resided myself to what I already have. But when I saw the Realistic Dildo on Bestvibe’s website whilst searching for a toy to request, I just couldn’t resist. While I’m happy that my concerns regarding the validity of its material were unfounded, there is still something about it that approaches a little too close to the uncanny valley for my tastes. I think the issue lies in the fact that it looks and feels so realistic, due to the dual-density and textural details, while simultaneously looking and feeling so unrealistic, due to the sticky surface and unnatural gloss, and that this mix of signals to my brain frankly makes me feel uneasy. Thankfully though all of that is quickly forgotten during use, and what is left is the immense pleasure that this toy brings. Plus, when I first started blogging there is no way you’d be able to find a dual density dildo as cheap as this, and it has been so amazing to watch as something that was once considered a luxury now be slowly made available at prices that most people can afford. Overall the only real downside to this toy is the extra care that it requires, from the level of cleaning needed to how quickly it attracts dust, but as long as you’re okay with that then this really is an excellent realistic dildo that would make the perfect addition to any collection.

Good
The outer coating is quite off-putting, but if you can get past that then this is a fantastic realistic dildo at an even better price.
This post was sponsored by Bestvibe, but as always, all opinions are my own.
Good to know it passed your flame test. A did a flame test on one of theirs too. For this one I can’t get past the shine though.
