Confidence is sexy. So when I received a press release from ZALO a few weeks ago that introduced themselves as “the leading luxury sex toy manufacturer” I was both surprised and intrigued. For a company who only branched out to the western market a few years ago, they are still considered by many the new kid on the block, that is if you even know who they are. ZALO’s products are beautiful and their packaging is exquisite, and even though I’ve only tried one of their toys, the Queen, I loved it. But “the leading luxury sex toy manufacturer”? That’s a bold claim. It is one, however, I expected them to at least be able to back up, and that is what got me first interested in the toy that the press release featured. It was HERO, their “newest and most advanced” toy yet, and as the second toy in their Legend series it was also the follow-up to the success of the Queen. Of course, with this I knew I had to get my hands on the HERO, and I was lucky enough to have ZALO and JOUJOU team up to send it my way.
Review: Hot Octopuss DiGiT
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I often feel like clitoral vibrators are the most boring of all the sex toys. Don’t get me wrong, I love them, and if I was forced to give up every sex toy type but one, I’d probably keep them over everything else. But, whereas G-Spot vibrators, wand massagers, and dildos come in all shapes and sizes, clitoral vibrators are generally all the same. Even when they look special and different, like my recent review of the Blush Novelties The Collection Sweet Bunny, they are still essentially the same underneath it all. I’ve also found them to be the most temperamental of all sex toys, as my two favourite clit vibes, the We-Vibe Tango and Nu Sensuelle Point, are both faulty and barely work most of the time. I am in desperate need for a new good quality vibe that won’t break on me, is that really too much to ask? Apparently so, as my cries about this have gone unanswered for a long time. That is, until now, with Hot Octopuss’s brand new clitoral vibrator, which is aiming to be one of the best yet.
Review: Uberrime Ripley Alien
For someone who is as geeky as me, I’m sure you’d imagine I have a full range of fantasy toys from all my favourite mythical creatures. Well, I do in my dreams… But in reality? Not so much. More than once on the blog I’ve announced that I was going to put more focus on reviewing fantasy dildos (including a few months ago in my Top 10 Toys of 2018 list), but this is always far easier said than done. Fantasy toys typically come in two categories: those made by Bad Dragon, a big company with an even bigger fan-base that often dominates the market, or those made by indie artisans. I’ve tried working with Bad Dragon before to little success, and indie makers often don’t have the funds to send out free review products (let alone ship them to Australia). But today, thanks to retailer SheVibe, I am finally writing my first ever fantasy toy review on the Uberrime Ripley Alien!
Review: Tantus Magma
The first dildo I ever reviewed was the Tantus Splish, and until like most products that I reviewed when I first started, this toy has really stood the test of time and is still one of my favourites. With a diameter of only 2.5cm / 1″ and a length of 11.4cm / 4.5″, it is far too small to be used as a regular dildo though, and instead has found a place in my home for anal play and as my partner’s alternative to fingering. I loved the drip-like design and noted in my review “Its texture is simply marvellous [for anal], and I know I just need to get my hands on a Splash now so my vagina can have a similar experience”. The Splash was the Splish’s larger cousin and I was eager to get one, until Tantus discontinued them both. Those were some sad days in sex toy land… until recently when I noticed Tantus had announced two new products. They have a different name and a new colour palette, but sure enough the Magma and Mini Magma are the reincarnations of the Splish and Splash.
Review: Blush Novelties Neo Elite 7.5 Inch
It’s hard to believe, but we’re already halfway through the year! It’s been a pretty good one so far here at Princess Previews, but for anyone who read my Top 10 Toys of 2018 post you might have noticed that something has been missing… dildos! That’s right, in that post I declared that 2019 would be the year of dildos, since I had been sorely lacking reviews of my favourite type of toy on the blog last year (I only did one!). Well, it might have taken a little while, but here I am finally with my first dildo review of the year (that is, unless you count the Kink by Doc Johnson Drencher, but I don’t since I couldn’t actually fit it inside of me). It doesn’t stop here either, as SheVibe have been kind enough to send me three of the best looking dildos on the market right now. Coming up soon is the Tantus Magma and Uberrime Ripley Alien, but today I am starting with the Blush Novelties Neo Elite 7.5 Inch.
Review: Hot Octopuss PULSE DUO
I’ve been wanting to expand into reviewing products designed for the penis, testicles, and prostate for years. But as it’s not something I can do myself, it was starting to seem like it was never gong to happen. I haven’t ever met anyone I felt I could trust to do the job professionally enough for me, and sex toys aren’t something my partner has ever shown interest in for himself. That was, however, until Hot Octopuss contacted me about reviewing for them and I showed him the PULSE range. Hot Octopuss are a brand who excel at marketing, and he was quickly drawn in by how cool and modern their website is, as well as the sleek design of their multi-award winning toy. For the first time he actually wanted to try out a toy, and this was definitely helped by the fact that the PULSE DUO can also work for couples. So, here we are, about to jump into my first ever penis masturbator review with the help of my partner!
