After exclusively reviewing wand massagers for the last few weeks, I figured it was time to switch things up for this week’s review. And what better way to do that than with an entirely new style of sex toy? That’s right, much like the Honey Play Box Scioness, my next review for this exciting US brand is also on a product type I am wholly unfamiliar with, something that can often prove a challenge after collecting sex toys for almost ten years. The Fiona Plus is what is usually called a double-ended egg vibrator, although in this case the last part of that is retracted, as this toy doesn’t actually feature any vibrations. Rather, it combines two popular styles of stimulation into one, with a licking rose-style toy at one end, and a accordian-style thruster at the other.
Product Description
The Honey Play Box Fiona Plus looks as if someone took two complete sex toys, one external and one internal, and attached them with a cord. And that’s exactly what it is. The external side is very similar to Honey Play Box’s Teresa, which is their version of the viral Sohimi ROSE’s sister-toy, the Funzze Flower Tongue (and in addition to the Fiona Plus, the brand also offer the Teresa in a number of other styles, from a full G-Spot vibrator to a version with a clitoral vibrator on the end). Meanwhile, the internal side is in the style of one of their many thruster toys, such as the Honey Play Box AGAS. The closest I’ve ever come to this type of product before was in my reviews of egg vibrators, the most popular of these being the Lovense Lush 2, however not only did those toys vibrate, but they did nothing for external stimulation. And as you might have guessed from the name, the Fiona Plus is an upgraded version of Honey Play Box’s original Fiona, which features the traditional vibrating egg rather than a thruster. But with both thruster and licking-style toys enjoying a rise in popularity right now, while the choice to combine them together is an odd one, it certainly seems to be working out for Honey Play Box, currently being one of their bestsellers.
So, as I mentioned, the Honey Play Box Fiona Plus is a double-ended egg with a flicking stimulator at one end and small thruster at the other. The two are connected by a thick yet flexible cord which is 22cm / 8.66″ in length and features no amount of stretch. The reason for this is twofold: Firstly, egg vibrators are usually controlled via a remote or app, but Honey Play Box have avoided this by placing all of the controls on the external element. Secondly, the internal side is designed to be fully inserted into the vagina (this toy is anal-safe, however is not intended for this use), and so the cord aids retrieval. Making use of the widely popular rose-style toy trend that is currently taking over the market, the external element then looks very similar to my Funzze Flower Tongue, complete with petals and texturing, and the red colouring helps further reinforce this rose-like design. Also available in light pink, a strip of silver reflective plastic on the external arm then rests under the toy’s dual buttons, whilst at the other end is the hourglass-shaped thruster, which is just 10cm / 3.94″ in length and 3.3cm / 1.3″ in diameter. With a very tapered and pointed tip, the middle of this then features ribbed silicone that is only loosely attached to the toy, allowing it to thrust by extending itself, and on the back of the external side you’ll find two metal plates for the charger to magnetically connect. Finally, the Fiona Plus is fully covered in a silky but firm body-safe silicone, and is both USB rechargeable and fully waterproof.
Packaging
My order for the Fiona Plus was placed with Honey Play Box on the 24th of February, although as with past orders it took some time to arrive, finally turning up on the 15th of March. Another recurring problem has been with discretion, and once again I felt let down in this regard, with the items inside being listed as a “mini personal healthy massager” on the box. As for the packaging of the toy itself, this was then exactly the same as past products from the brand, just with a picture of the Fiona Plus and information on it instead. A high-quality cardboard box with a beautiful gradient design, I’m always very happy to see this from Honey Play Box and I appreciate the consistency. Inside you’ll then find the toy resting safely in foam, alongside its charging cord and instruction manual, which are also in the same style as their previous products. Finally, the Fiona Plus also comes with Honey Play Box’s one year warranty.
Charging
Charging the Honey Play Box Fiona Plus is easy since it is USB rechargeable. Simply plug one end into a USB port, and then connect the other to the metal plates on the toy. These will attach to each other magnetically, but do be careful as the connection strength isn’t the strongest and so the two may separate on their own. Charging should then take two hours to give you one hour of use, with the light flashing when the battery is being filled and then becoming solid upon completion. In addition, Honey Play Box recommends charging the Fiona Plus before first use.
Controls
The Honey Play Box Fiona Plus has just two buttons, and with each controlling a different end of the toy, using this product is simple and quick to get started with. Plus, even though the buttons don’t have any kind of symbol, it’s easy to remember which is which, because they simply control the end they are closest to. They also work identically, so to turn either end on or off, just hold down the associated button for two seconds, and then continuing to click that button will allow you to access nine modes, three of which are steady speeds and six of which are patterns, before it hits a stand-by mode and repeats the cycle. The two ends can then either be used together or entirely separately, giving you total control and choice over your experience, and means if you only feel like using one end during a particular session, you don’t need to worry about the other side going off too. Overall I’m very happy with how all of this works, and have no complaints.
First Impressions
I like trying new things, but I’ve got to admit that I didn’t really get the Honey Play Box Fiona Plus going into this review. Because what happens if you like one end, but not the other? Having what is essentially two very different toys stuck together seems risky, as even though its relatively low price tag does mean you are getting a good 2-in-1 deal, it places a certain limitation on using it. For instance, I like to mix-and-match internal and external sex toys depending on my mood. But I suppose this worry could apply to any dual-stimulator. As always, I should also preface this review by saying that I am not a big lover of tongue or licking style toys, even though I somehow keep writing about them. My bigger concern here, however, has to be the thruster. A big part of this style of toy is the need to hold onto them (or steady them against a wall or floor if possible), to ensure they work efficiently. But this will be my first that is fully inserted, and I can’t help but wonder how well it will work. Everything seems to be in working order when turned on, though, with the mechanical tongue being one of the thickest I’ve seen, giving it a kind of force that I appreciate even though it means sacrificing speed. Similarly, the thruster works smoothly, but the extension is much smaller than I imagined, with it only growing a mere X in length, a barely noticeable difference despite all those accordion ribbings. Finally, the toy is a little loud, with the external head being the worst of the two, and so I wouldn’t recommend using it if you need to be discreet. Although if you just use the internal element and only turn it on when it is inserted, you could probably get away with it.
My Experience
With the internal side of the Honey Play Box Fiona Plus being fairly small, inserting it is easy. I can’t help but relate the sensation to using a tampon, and in this respect it’s easier to move it closer to your entrance (or remove it altogether) than it is to push it deeper, thanks to the handy removal cord. Turning this on, it then feels pretty good, but is certainly less impactful than a handheld thruster, even with its short length extending away inside of me. What I do appreciate though, is how much easier it is to use, as typically thruster toys require a bit of effort and strength, making this hands-free version a nice change. As for the external element, which is sadly not hands-free, I’ve seemed to find an unexpected fondness for it, which I think is primarily due to how much thicker the “tongue” on this toy is compared to similar products I’ve tried. Rather than just being a thin piece of silicone, the larger size here not only creates a more realistic feeling, but it’s able to withstand a higher level of pressure whilst continuing to function. Using the two sides together, orgasms then come easily, and I really love the slow build up of pleasure it provides. In fact, the only downside to using this toy is that I do tend to enjoy the journey more than the destination, as without the typical level of pressure I am used to (even with the thicker tongue), orgasms can feel a little lacklustre. Although if licking toys are more your thing, then I assume you won’t have the same issue.
Cleaning & Care
Cleaning the Honey Play Box Fiona Plus is easy since it is waterproof. Simply place it in some warm soapy water when you’re done, and then give it a quick scrub and rinse. If used internally, you’ll definitely want to give the ribbed section of silicone and the seam under this some extra love with a spare soapy toothbrush, and the same goes for the flower petals depending on how messy the external side has gotten. After this you can leave it to air dry, and then store within a zip-lock bag to keep clean. Additionally, make sure to not use any silicone-based lubricants with this toy, as it may damage the material it is made of.
Final Thoughts
Going into my review of the Honey Play Box Fiona Plus, I wasn’t sure what to expect with such an unusual sex toy. And while I still believe these two elements would be better off separated, I can hardly fault the product. Not to mention that if you estimated the cost of buying them individually, using the Honey Play Box Teresa and AGAS as a guide, you’d be looking at almost double the cost of the Fiona Plus, a discount that makes the cord not look so bad in comparison. Plus, this has to be the best licking-style stimulator I’ve tried, with the thicker tongue feeling much more realistic and prominent, upping pleasure and bringing orgasms quicker than ever before. And while it was more subtle, I’m sure the thruster had a part to play with that too, being a welcome change from the effort I usually associate with these kinds of products. Overall, while I wouldn’t recommend the Fiona Plus to lovers of traditional thrusters, for anyone who enjoys tongue-style toys or who wants to replicate the feelings of oral sex, whilst also getting an additional internal toy thrown in essentially for free, then this is the product for you.

Great
A weird concept that actually pays off, with an almost faultless toy that provides ample stimulation.
This post was sponsored by Honey Play Box, but as always, all opinions are my own.
I saw this and thought it looked too weird to purchase. However, your review makes me want to give it a try.
I like the two separate ends; I always worry when they try to cram too many functions in one unit…
