Satisfyer Dual Love & Dual Pleasure

From the moment I tried the legendary Pro 2 back in 2016, Satisfyer, and their groundbreaking suction technology, became one of my all time favourite brands. For years this continued, with each Satisfyer being somehow better than the last, until finally culminating in 2019’s Satisfyer Luxury, their most ambitious (and expensive!) toy yet, whose powerful clitoral stimulation made it more than worth the price tag. But after this, things started to change. Satisfyer rebranded, switching their previously luxury feel to one more aimed at newcomers, and begun to release a wide range of products (ending their suction specialisation) at much lower prices than before. Cautiously pessimistic, I held back on reviewing for them for some time after that, until finally I broke my silence when I tried their first app compatible toys, the Curvy 1+ & 2+, around this time last year. With the pair all but confirming my fears about the declining standards of the brand however, it wasn’t the return to Satisfyer I had hoped. So when Betty’s Toy Box recently contacted me about trying the Curvy’s successors, the Dual Pleasure and Dual Love, it seemed only fair to give the brand I once loved so much a second chance.

Product Description

While it doesn’t explicitly state anywhere that the new Dual series is intended as the successor to the Curvy line, I would certainly argue that it is. They are the first (and only other) dual-use suction toys intended to be used with Satisfyer’s still relatively new Connect App since the Curvy 1+ and 2+ (besides from the recent Curvy 3+, that is, which seems to just be yet another purposeless design), and other than their differing appearances, everything about the Dual range is identical to the Curvy’s, except slightly better. This is most noticeable in the improved insertable handle of the toys, as whilst Satisfyer have now removed any mention of the Curvy 2+ being intended for internal use on their website, which is understandable considering how poorly thought out it was, they’re instead doubling down on it for the Dual Pleasure and Dual Love, with it even being in their name (can’t remove that so easily)! Plus, they’ve made what one would think were obvious changes in the first place, with the vibrations actually being located in the handle, as well as the buttons and magnetic plates being located at the opposite end, so that you need not put these inside yourself. Of course, another aspect to the Curvy toys that Satisfyer have decided to keep for the Dual’s, and perhaps their most iconic one, is that for some unknown reason there are two of them!

While it is frustrating to once again have two Satisfyer toys that are almost identical in function, price, and name, at least the Dual Love and Dual Pleasure look completely different as opposed to the Curvy 1+ and 2+. Reminding me of a simplified Satisfyer Pro 2, the Dual Love’s no-fuss design results in a short but straight handle featuring a rounded end for easy insertion. A cover of metal-like plastic has also then been placed around the suction nozzle to give it something extra, although I will say that in addition to not being ideal for internal play, the material used does come off quite cheap, with the reflections reminding me of a funhouse mirror. Available in both red and yellow (which is what I have), both these tones are then super fun and unusual. The Dual Pleasure, on the other hand, is by far my largest suction toy so far, with its bulky body being widest at the suction nozzle and then ending in a long yet curved handle which uses its wide bevelled edges to come to a tapered tip. With a body made up entirely of silicone, it is then available in lavender and white (which is what I have), although I must say these light colours mixed with the matte silicone don’t do it much justice (plus, my copy seems to have an area of silicone that is not sealed down). On that note, while Satisfyer have always used 3D renders for their images over product photography, this is more noticeable than usual on the Dual Love and Dual Pleasure, as the toys look quite different on their packaging and online than they do in real life. Using a reflective material shader rather than the matte silicone of reality, alongside the removal of any additional elements, such as the Satisfyer logos and legal information (such as the CE mark), both toys look significantly better in their brand images, to the extent of potentially false advertising regarding their appearances.

Once you get past the way they look, much of the Dual Pleasure and Dual Love is the same. They both have suction nozzles at one end and handles that can be inserted vaginally at the other. Three buttons lie behind the nozzles, one for the vibrations and two for the suction, and just above this are two metal prongs for the magnetic charger. Next to this you’ll find some legal symbols, and more can then be located along the faint seam on both toys. Directly under each suction nozzle is Satisfyer’s debossed logo, which is then the closest element to the insertable portion of the toy. In addition to their buttons, the Dual toys can also be controlled by Satisfyer’s Connect App, allowing them to be controlled remotely and long distance. Plus, as with all good toys, they are also fully body-safe, waterproof, and USB rechargeable.

Packaging

Satisfyer Dual Love & Dual Pleasure Packaging

My order with Betty’s Toy Box for the Satisfyer Dual Love and Dual Pleasure was placed on the 3rd of June and I received it on the 23rd. The package was fully discreet, with no mention of the sender or the contents, and you can view a video of my unboxing here. The packaging for the toys was then the same as all other recent Satisfyer products I have received, being in two fun and colourful boxes featuring images of the product alongside information on what it can do. A small piece of ribbon then opens up the magnetic cover to reveal the toy behind protective plastic, and this can be accessed once the hygienic safety tab has been removed. In addition to the toys themselves, the boxes also contain a charging cord, brief instruction booklet, and two other small booklets going over safety and the 15 year guarantee. Overall, I adore this packaging as much as the first time I received it, feeling both approachable yet luxurious, and that guarantee just really can’t be beat.

Charging

Satisfyer Dual Love & Dual Pleasure Charging

Since both the Satisfyer Dual Love and Dual Pleasure are USB rechargeable, charging them is easy. Simply plug one end into a USB port and then connect the other end with the magnetic plates on the toy. Unfortunately, however, the magnetic strength has not been improved upon since the Curvy’s, and as with those toys getting the chargers to stay connected is a bit of a nightmare. Once on, though, charging will be indicated by a flashing light, which will then become solid when complete. Both toys should give you around 1 hour of playtime when fully charged, and for the Dual Love this will take 1.5 hours and for the Dual Pleasure this will take 2 hours, both of which are great improvements to the three hours of the Curvy 1+ and 2+. Also worth noting is that the metal connection plates on both the Dual Love and Dual Pleasure are protruding from the silicone a bit more than on the Curvy’s. While this has no effect visually or to the charging, it does mean they are quite sharp, and I could definitely imagine someone cutting themselves with them if dragged across the skin in the wrong way.

Controls

Controlling both toys using the buttons on them is easy and intuitive, particularly as they use the exact same system as many of Satisfyer’s other products, including the Curvy’s. Essentially, the suction and vibrations are controlled entirely independently of each other, so that you can choose whether you want to use them separately or together (not that you can really use both ends at the same time), with the wave symbol controlling everything relating to the vibrations, and the other two buttons controlling everything to do with the suction. To turn the vibrations on, simply hold the wave button down for two seconds, which will start the vibrations on their lowest level. You can then continue clicking this button to cycle through the toy’s 11 vibration speeds, three of which are steady speeds and eight of which are patterns (one more than on the Curvy’s). When done you can then hold this button down again. As for the suction, you can turn this on by holding the button with the power symbol down for two seconds, which will put the suction on its lowest strength. You can then continue clicking this button to increase the suction by 11 levels, or use the final button to decrease the suction again. Finally, to turn the suction off, hold down the power button again. This all works well and it’s great Satisfyer have kept it consistent, but it might have been good to switch the controls so that the vibrations button is the one that’s furthest away from the vibrating end this time, ensuring it can be easily pressed during internal play. Plus, I do have a problem with the decrease suction button on the Dual Pleasure, as while all other buttons make a satisfying click sound, it does not, making it harder to press and harder to tell when you’ve actually done it.

In addition to controlling the toy with the buttons, you can also use the Satisfyer Connect App on your phone. I’ve already written a detailed overview of this in my review on the Satisfyer Curvy 1+ and 2+, and as not much has changed with it in the last year, I’d recommend checking that out for my thoughts. Of the few upgrades that there are though, they seem to mostly revolve around improving the chat function, including end-to-end encryption to increase data protection. As with before I still don’t understand the Alarms function, and now it actually seems to be glitching out, as I am unable to set a new alarm, plus the Community Share page also seems buggy, as I couldn’t load it for some time. Finally, since my last time using it I have heard of some people, including fellow bloggers Super Smash Cache and Dildoodler, being unable to use some important aspects of Connect, so this may be something to consider if its functionality is important to you. Overall though, based on my own use of it, Satisfyer Connect is one of the better apps I’ve tried, and it was a pleasure to test once again.

First Impressions

One of the biggest positives to the Satisfyer Curvy toys was their noise level, a welcome change from Satisfyer’s typically noisy products. So I was hoping for something similar with the Dual Love and Dual Pleasure, but unfortunately this is not the case. While not as loud as some Satisfyer toys, such as the Luxury and Pro 2, the two are certainly louder than both of the Curvy’s, which is a disappointment for those who require discretion. What’s more, between the two, the Dual Love’s suction is much louder than the Dual Pleasure’s, which is quite interesting considering I had assumed they were using the same motor. As for the vibrations, these feel and sound the same between the two toys and the Curvy’s, which is to say that they’re not too loud but very buzzy. Finally, their nozzles are also quite different, as despite how much larger the Dual Pleasure is, it actually features a smaller nozzle, with the Dual Love not only having the largest suction nozzle I’ve seen on a toy, but an unique oval shape as well.

My Experience

Satisfyer Dual Love & Dual Pleasure Nozzles

Testing the suction power on the Satisfyer Dual Love and Dual Pleasure was much the same as my experience with the Curvy 1+ and 2+: underwhelming. The suction feels weak and lacklustre, and gives me none of the intense tear-jerking feelings I’ve come to expect from recent clitoral stimulators. Plus, while I can eventually orgasm from them, it takes far longer than I am use to and much more effort on my part (for instance, I don’t normally need any additional stimulation to reach climax when using suction toys, such as porn, but for these I do). All this lead-up does pay off though, as when orgasm does come it is very intense and satisfying, and as a whole I do prefer them to the Curvy’s. What’s also interesting is that, as suggested by the differing volumes, the Dual Love feels significantly better than the Dual Pleasure. While I experienced a similar difference between the two Curvy toys, that was because of the varying nozzle sizes, but this time it feels much more than that. The sensations the Dual Love gives are much more intense, and they also have more of a thuddy feeling to them. Although one downside is that when at higher levels, the sounds the Dual Love makes become unsteady, which can be a bit off-putting. Overall though I think it’s safe to say that the suction motors within these toys are definitely different, and perhaps this has been done to make up for the larger hole of the Dual Love (which in this case it absolutely does).

While the insertable portion of both toys is much improved from the Curvy 2+’s, they still leave a lot to be desired. In fact, if I wasn’t obligated to try them in this way as a reviewer, there’s no way I’d be putting them in me. Nothing about the Dual Love looks like it’s ready to go inside of someone, with its short and straight shaft that looks like no dildo I own. Then there’s the larger Dual Pleasure, which is at least curved, but the pointed end and hard ridges don’t really scream G-Spot stimulation. Plus, to add to my own hesitation, I recently heard that fellow reviewer Submissive Feminist had been severely injured by the fake metal on the Dual Love, so much so that she’s still recovering two months later. Considering all this, I very cautiously began my testing, and while the “metal” on my Dual Love does not have the same issues as Submissive Feminist’s, I decided to not insert that part into me to be on the safe side (besides, even if I did insert it, it would just mean even further cleaning would be required for not much gain). So, as you’d imagine, using the Dual Love internally felt fairly pointless, as it could only go in about 8cm / 3 inches, which wasn’t enough to thrust or really do anything with. Then, as for the Dual Pleasure, this was slightly better, as I could insert it much deeper, however the shape felt fairly uncomfortable and was unable to stimulate my G-Spot despite its curve. Plus, I found the bulky body difficult to hold, and this combined with the sharp charging prongs against my hand made thrusting it very uncomfortable, often to the point of pain. As for the vibrations, these were again too buzzy to really offer anything, and so overall my experience with the “dual” element of both of these toys has been really quite poor.

Cleaning & Care

Even though the nozzles cannot be separated on these toys, cleaning them is still easy as they are waterproof. Simply place them both in some warm soapy water, and then rinse and leave to air dry. If you do use them internally, however, you might want to do a more elaborate clean using a soapy toothbrush if you’ve gotten any of the logos, buttons or seams messy. After this they can be stored how you want, but again if you plan on using them internally I’d recommend keeping them dust-free by placing them in a sealed bag. Since the Satisfyer Dual Love and Dual Pleasure are made out of silicone also ensure you don’t use silicone based lubricant with them. Furthermore, I have found prolonged use of suction toys can make my clitoris quite sore the next day, so I wouldn’t recommend using either of them excessively if you are planning on having any rigorous sex or further masturbation within the next 24 hours.

Final Thoughts

While this hasn’t been the best review of the Satisfyer Dual Love and Dual Pleasure, there is something else that’s important to remember when evaluating them, and that’s their price. I’ve grown very accustom over the last few years to the immensely pleasurable range of luxury suction toys I have at my disposal, with my favourite being the Womanizer Premium. But at almost four times the cost (the Premium sits at $200 USD at the time of writing, compared to the Dual Love’s $50 and Dual Pleasure’s $53) they can’t really be compared. So with that in mind, I really do think that the Satisfyer Dual Love and Dual Pleasure offer some of the best budget suction options we’ve seen from a bigger brand so far, and they are certainly an upgrade from Satisfyer’s earlier low-priced toys, such as the Pro Penguin Next Generation. Plus, compared to the Curvy 2+, my previous budget recommendation, I also think they feel significantly better, and so they really are a level up from this in every aspect besides their noise level. As for how to choose between them however, this is a little more tricky, with the Dual Love offering better suction and the Dual Pleasure offering better insertable pleasure. So while it really depends on your personal preference (mine being the Dual Love), one thing that I do know for sure is that if you’re looking for a budget-friendly suction toy, you’ve found it.

Sadly, the Satisfyer Dual Love and Dual Pleasure have now been discontinued.
