Satisfyer Pro 2

Welcome to Princess Previews 2.0! If you’re a regular here, you might notice things look a little different. That’s because for the last few weeks I’ve been slowly redesigning my blog to better represent myself and what I do here, and this is my first post since making the switch! Part of this update meant taking a photo of myself that I could use both on my sidebar and as a profile picture on social media, and for such an image I knew I wanted to include a sex toy. The question was: which toy did I choose? I’ve now reviewed over two hundred items at the blog, and that’s only one portion of my actual collection. But I knew that whatever I chose had to be both loved by me (it is quite a endorsement, after all!) and easily identifiable. So when I was scrolling through real estate TikTok (don’t judge me) and saw the iconic Satisfyer Pro 2 briefly appear unnamed in a video, yet all the comments were talking about it, I knew I had my toy. Interestingly, though, while my review of the original Pro 2 remains one of my most popular ever, I never actually reviewed any of its later iterations, commonly dubbed the “Next Generation”. So, six years later, I figured it was finally time!

Background

When the original Satisfyer Pro 2 came out back in 2016, it completely changed the game. It was the first to introduce suction technology to the masses and served as the launchpad for what is now one of the biggest sex toy brands worldwide. While I was still relatively new to blogging, I was lucky enough to be one of the very first people in Australia to get my hands on one, as well as be one of its early reviewers. But even then, Satisfyer were in the process of re-releasing it to reduce the outrageous noise level, and ever since the toy has continued to go through a number of revisions (although Satisfyer’s unwillingness to change the Pro 2’s name can make these differing versions difficult to identify). The current edition, which is occasionally referred to as the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation, features a number of improvements from the original model, giving more than enough justification for a revised review, although visually the two are almost identical. The logo on the front of the toy is the most obvious change (my original has none, while the later version had the brand’s cursive logo. These days, however, it has their rebranded sans serif logo), but a matte, rather than glossy, ABS plastic body is also notable.

So, outside of a few aesthetic changes, what’s different about the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation? Well, the two biggest updates in my opinion, other than its superior suction strength, is the immense reduction in noise level (the original Pro 2 was one of my loudest toys ever) and the addition of a minus button to allow you to quickly decrease the toy’s intensity, rather being forced to cycle through every setting. Of course, it is also meant to offer improved USB charging, advanced waterproofing and a longer warranty, but otherwise it’s still the same relatively simple toy we know and love. Which is truly great, because it has allowed for Satisfyer to keep the price down, making this not only one of the most iconic, but one of the cheapest, suction stimulators around. Besides, Satisfyer have a whole range of other toys now if you’re after something more advanced, such as their vibrating Satisfyer Pro 2+. In addition, the small LED light that use to feature between the two buttons is now gone, with the improved intensity button now extending to fit that area, and instead this light can be found under the toy’s power button. Plus, the Pro 2 now comes in two additional colours, violet and blue, although its “pink” rose gold version is still what is most widely stocked. The final change made to the Next Generation is the suction hole, which is far larger on both the plastic body and the silicone nozzle attachment, which is again removal, allowing it to work with a much wider range of clits.

Packaging

Satisfyer Pro 2 Packaging

The Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation uses the German brand’s updated packaging that I’ve received quite a few toys in now, and it couldn’t be more different from the packaging my original version of the toy arrived in. With a pink and blue colour scheme, this sturdy box is nicer than what some luxury toys come in, which is impressive when you consider the reasonable price tag of the Pro 2. With minimalist nude drawings in the background, it is fairly obvious what the product is for despite not explicitly advertising itself as a sex toy (it does say it’s for “clitoral stimulation” in the small print though), which in turn also allows it to be free of any unnecessary gendering. A cute ribbon on one side of the box allows you to open up a magnetic door so that you may view the toy prior to purchase or on arrival, and you can then access the product by tearing its perforated hygienic safety tab. Inside you’ll find the Pro 2 resting safely in place, alongside a Quick-Start Guide, Safety Information and Guarantee Information booklets (which is an amazing 15 years!), as well as a charging cable.

Charging

Satisfyer Pro 2 Charging

Like the OG Pro 2, the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation is USB rechargeable, and uses strong magnets to connect to its cord. Unlike the original, however, the charging times are vastly improved, going from a potential 8 hours for a lousy 30 minutes of play to a more standard rate of 1.5 hours for 90 minutes. When charging the power button’s LED light will flash, and this will then become solid once complete.

Controls

Controlling the Pro 2 Next Generation is simple. In fact, so simple that it’s hard to believe the original model featured even less functionality. While the power button works the same (press to turn it on / hold it down to turn it off), the larger button has been divided and lengthened, so while at first glance it appears to be one long button, it is actually two, with one at either end. As indicated by the symbols, one side is the plus button for increasing the intensity, whilst the other side is the minus button for decreasing intensity. As with the original, there are then 11 pressure waves for you to choose from (this is something I complained about greatly in my previous review, deeming it “a stupidly high number”, but after six years of testing suction toys, it is now rightfully the standard, and if anything, less than I am use to), and once you reach the top level you’ll need to use the minus button to reduce it again, or alternatively toggle the power since it always starts on the lowest level. Overall, this all works great, and considering the controls were the number one biggest problem I had with the previous version, it’s a real relief.

First Impressions

Another issue I had with the previous iteration of the Satisfyer Pro 2 was its ridiculous noise level mixed with the fact that the variation between its 11 intensity levels was so subtle that I could barely tell if the intensity button was even working. But upon turning on the Next Generation, it is immediately clear that both of these problems has been resolved. The noise level is significantly reduced, and might just be one of my quietest suction toys yet, whilst each increase in intensity is quite obvious in regards to both sound and sensation. As for the nozzles, these are pretty much the same other than the larger hole, using the same type of silicone and shape, although I would say that the original has a slightly flatter surface. You can, however, buy a flatter version for the Next Generation directly from Satisfyer’s website if this sounds like it’d be more your style.

My Experience

Satisfyer Pro 2 Comparision
The original Satisfyer Pro 2 alongside my newer Next Generation version.

When I reviewed the original Satisfyer Pro 2 back in 2016, it was one of the first of its kind, and certainly the only suction toy that I had tried. The pleasure it produced blew my mind. Nowadays, however, clitoral stimulators are my favourite type of sex toy, and I accordingly have a lot of them, leaving the Pro 2 more than a little outdated. In fact, opposite my current favourite stimulator, the Womanizer Premium 2, you might as well be trying to compare a rotary dial telephone to the latest iPhone. But since it remains Satisfyer’s flagship product, I had to assume that the Next Generation had sufficiently updated the toy to match the competition. In this regard, I was absolutely not let down, with the newer version’s power being vastly superior, so much so that when switching between them during use I can hardly even tell the original is on. The suction feels deep, almost like a middle-point between the brand’s typically buzzy stimulation and Womanizer’s thuddy-style, and while it still can’t quite compete with luxury models from brands like Womanizer and We-Vibe, it still gives me some amazing orgasms. Compared to Satisfyer’s other toys, it’s certainly more powerful than many of their older products, such as the Pro Penguin and Pro Plus Vibration, whereas newer models like the Curvy 2+ and Dual Love do feel slightly stronger. Although while this is true, the more ergonomic shape of the Pro 2 still makes this my preference, with the wide nozzle being far easier to apply to my clitoris (plus, being removable also makes it easier to later clean). The exception to this is the Satisfyer Luxury, whose suction is truly on another level to every other Satisfyer toy (as is its price), and remains my overall favourite from the brand.

Cleaning & Care

Satisfyer Pro 2 Nozzle

Cleaning the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation is very easy as it is waterproof. Plus, if the head is the only thing that got dirty, you can simply remove it and just clean this element, which is something I miss from more recent additions to Satisyfer’s range. Simply wash the toy and / or the nozzle in some warm soapy water, rinse, dry, and then reassemble and store however you wish. Since the head is silicone though, do make sure to not use silicone-based lubricants with it, as these may damage the toy.

Final Thoughts

The Satisfyer Pro 2 is an icon. But as suction technology continued to advance with every new release, it wasn’t long before it got left behind. Which, considering its overall design is still one of the best things Satisfyer has put out, is a real shame, and as I continued to review their confused attempts at replicating its success over the past few years, I’d often found myself longing for the simplicity that the toy that had started it all offered. Well the Pro 2 Next Generation is exactly that, the toy I loved all those years ago, just updated to compete with the technology of today. With the exception of the brand’s pricey Luxury, the Pro 2 beats out every other Satisfyer I have tried, allowing it to truly justify its name as their flagship product. In fact, the only complaint I really have about the toy, if any, is the fact that the buttons are a little difficult to press. Other than this, it’s a perfect toy, and I don’t think it would be too far-fetched to say it is the best product Satisfyer have ever released (since while the Luxury is powerful, it is not without flaws). What does feel a little far-fetched, though, is its low price tag. So, with this in mind, it joys me to say that this is absolutely my new favourite budget-toy, and my wholehearted recommendation to anyone looking to try their first suction stimulator.

8 Comments on Review: Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation

  1. So I had the PINK and BLUE box originally and it was OUTSTANDING I mean I didn’t buy another sex toy in THREE years because of that version. Then it broke and I contacted them and got a new one and it’s in a green and blue box and this one SUCKS. And not in a good way. The charge is crap. The suction is crap.

Which is which? Do you know?

    • Oh no! My version of the Pro 2 Next Generation (now known as the Generation 2) came in the pink and blue box. I haven’t seen it in a blue and green box, but I found this image online, which I’m assuming is the version you received? Satisfyer are known for their tendency to make unannounced changes to their products. Still, I would have thought this was a simple packaging update, and I can only imagine your version is newer than mine, so I’m unsure why it’d be be feeling worse. I’d be assuming there is simply something wrong with it, so it might be worth getting back in touch with Satisfyer.

      • Ack! I’m still trying to find out what happened LOL. You would think Satisfyer would just be glad I wanted to repurchase and would help me but they are being EXTREMELY difficult! It’s kind of insane how hung up the support person is on the one they sent, rather than just telling me which one I loved/had! Obviously someone messed up somewhere, IDC, I just want my old one back lol.

        This is my favorite box:
        https://hwromance.com/cdn/shop/products/BTKA_16385067998025844_94d09f603be6e8a7553306e86bee02.jpg?v=1648880729

So blue band, pink middle, and dark bluish green TOP.

The one they sent, that sucks is this one:
        https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/5XEAAOSwFPFh-L1f/s-l1600.jpg

Blue band, teal middle, PURPLE top.

My next question is what is wrong. Was the wrong box sent with the right item or was the wrong item send in the right box LOL. Yeesh.

HAHA it’s crazy because they all LOOK the same and they all have the same writing and type but they are not all the same. Oh well. Thanks for trying to help lol.

        • I’m sorry to hear you’re still struggling with this Emily! That’s very strange, I would have assumed those two boxes contained the same product. And to think Satisfyer are being so unhelpful!

I think your best bet would be to go to a physical sex toy store that stocks Satisfyer and ask there. Surely the staff must know the difference and be able to identify them. You might even see the box you like, or get to test out a sample in store to see if it’s like your old one. If you don’t have a store near you, you could still ask an online store (Peepshow Toys and Betty’s Toy Box would be my recommendations), although you would again be at the liberty of a customer service style chat where you cannot check things in person.

  2. My partner and I are big fans of using this type of toys, so much so that we push them to the limit, but we’re not sure if it’s because of the intense use we give them or if they have charging issues most of the time. We’ve checked the instructions online, but they still dont work.

Can you suggest any other way to try to fix the Satisfyer charging issue with my Satisfyer before considering buying a new one?

    • Unfortunately I don’t have any tips, but overuse shouldn’t be affecting the toys in this way. If it doesn’t light up (indicating charging) when the charger is set up correctly, then you’ll need to get a replacement, and since it is faulty hopefully this is something either Satisfyer or the retailer you bought it from can help with.

I’d also take what that website says lightly. It may just be because they don’t specify what model they are referring to, but I haven’t heard of a Satisfyer that has a battery status indicator like that or that can be rebooted. You also shouldn’t be charging these toys when they are on.

  3. The first egg-shaped one I bought stopped charging, so the company swapped it. The second one is now either not suctioning or when it does, it’s very loud and clunky sounding. It was an expensive item and should not break like this. Oh well.
