As a fan of Honey Play Box’s Joi (so much so I even gave one away last year!), it’s been exciting to see this now award-winning vibrator get the love it deserves. And with the US-based brand unsurprisingly capitalising on this success, a number of follow-up toys have since been added to what is now the Joi collection. I wanted so badly to get my hands on either the Joi Pro or Joi Thrust when they first came out, with the former including a remote control and the latter offering thrusting and app compatibility, but prior obligations meant I was unable. So I bided my time, and after my reviews of the OLY 2 and RORA 2 a few months ago, I knew a similar version of the Joi with advanced capabilities couldn’t be far off. And I was right, because here I am now with the new Honey Play Box Joi Thrust 2.

Acoustic masturbation isn’t something I get up to much these days considering my job as a sex toy tester. But it’s where I, like many others, had my start with pleasure. I’ve always opted for non-penetrative play, ruining many pillows and bedsheets during my youth, which is why external toys like wand massagers and suction toys continue to be my favourites today. After exclusively reviewing wand massagers for the last few weeks, I figured it was time to switch things up for this week’s review. And what better way to do that than with an entirely new style of sex toy? That’s right, much like the Honey Play Box Scioness, my next review for this exciting US brand is also on a product type I am wholly unfamiliar with, something that can often prove a challenge after collecting sex toys for almost ten years. The Fiona Plus is what is usually called a double-ended egg vibrator, although in this case the last part of that is retracted, as this toy doesn’t actually feature any vibrations. Rather, it combines two popular styles of stimulation into one, with a licking rose-style toy at one end, and a accordian-style thruster at the other.

The two biggest trends in sex toys right now is sucking and licking, as the industry continues to move away from penetrative toys to instead focus more on clitoral pleasure, much to my delight. If you’ve spent much time in sex toy land over the last few years, you’ve no doubt heard of the Fantasy For Her. This unique product that melded licking, sucking, and vibrating into one for the first time went viral, and has remained one of the best-selling toys on the market ever since. Despite my obvious interest, however, I have declined any request to review it, due to it being manufactured by one of the most unethical brands in the industry, Pipedream. If you aren’t aware of their racist, fatphobic, transphobic, and just generally shitty nature, I’d recommend checking out Miss Ruby Review’s post on it, but the point is: I do not review their products, no matter how popular. Yet when I saw that my blog sponsor, Honey Play Box, had released their own version of what the Fantasy For Her offered, I knew my chance to see what all the fuss was about had finally come.
