Recently I was asked for a rabbit vibrator recommendation from one of my readers whose old toy had just broke, and as I scrolled through almost five years worth of my own reviews to find something suitable, I realised with surprise that there wasn’t a single product I felt I could suggest. I’m not sure whether it’s because rabbit vibrators are so hit or miss and I just haven’t found something I enjoy enough yet, or that they perhaps just aren’t for me, but the bottom line is that I don’t have even one traditional rabbit vibrator that I personally enjoy enough to feel comfortable recommending it to someone else. Of all the rabbits I’ve tried, there have been plenty of alright products, such as The Rabbit Company Come Hither and Vibease Esthesia, but even my current favourite, the Rocks Off Regala, can’t even stimulate my pleasure points effectively. In fact, the best dual-stimulation toys I’ve tried aren’t even rabbits at all, but the Womanizer DUO and SenseMax SenseVibe Warm, two luxury toys that aren’t exactly what people are after when they ask for rabbit recommendations. Plus, the nature of rabbits means that even if I did find one I enjoy, chances are it wouldn’t work for you anyway. But, when I recently heard that We-Vibe were releasing a newer version of their legendary Nova rabbit, a flexible vibrator designed to work with a range of body types and the toy that Womanizer based the DUO’s amazing G-Spot arm on, I was all in.
Review: Hot Octopuss PULSE DUO LUX
Last year my partner and I had the pleasure of reviewing Hot Octopuss’s amazing masturbator meets couples toy, the PULSE III DUO, which has since been renamed as simply the PULSE DUO. Completely unique to anything I’ve ever tried before, it was a huge stand out for me, but as my partner’s first ever toy in general, it was a big deal. Unfortunately, though, right after that review our lives got pretty busy, we moved house and he took on a new full-time job, and so the PULSE DUO sadly got tucked away into his underwear drawer and mostly forgotten about. This year, however, we (like everybody else) have had a lot more time on our hands, and when lockdown started one of the first things my partner asked me was, “What ever happened to that Hot Octopuss toy?”. Well, I was more than happy to remind him of its location, but I also knew that a newer version, dubbed the PULSE DUO LUX, had recently been released, and asked if he would be interested in trying it with me, to which I received a resounding yes. Luckily the lovely folks over at Hot Octopuss were then kind enough to send one out for review, thus making our self-isolation a hell of a lot more fun!
Review: Bestvibe 3 Motors Rabbit Vibrator
Bestvibe has genuinely got to be one of my favourite online sex shops to browse. While a lot of their products are made with questionable materials, or just straight-up not body-safe, I can’t deny there is a strange charm to their huge variety of sex toys. Confusing images and text aside, the concepts for their toys are often so completely out there that I can’t imagine seeing them anywhere else. It’s a middle-ground where weird and wacky meets innovation, and while I’m sure there are a lot of failures, based on their customer reviews it seems there are a lot of successes as well. So when the company recently reached out to me about reviewing some of their toys, I knew I was going to have a difficult time narrowing down my wish list. Ultimately though I decided the weirder the better, and ended up choosing two toys that could easily end up being either brilliant… or disastrous. The first, an ultra realistic dual density dildo that seems too good to be true, and the second, a vibrator with not two, not three, but four arms! Today I will be reviewing the latter, but keep an eye out for the next review in this series soon!
Review: Womanizer DUO
It’s no secret that the last few months have been quite difficult, and if I’m being completely honest… I’m still not ready to accept that it’s no longer March. But there are a few things in my life that I’ve been able to turn to during the worst moments to feel a little bit of happiness, and some of those things have been sex toys. Three products in particular have been brightening my mood lately, with each lending itself to different situations. There is the Magic Wand Rechargeable, which works either solo or with my partner as an easy way to achieve a quick but satisfying orgasm, the Dame Kip, which helps me to have some amazing orgasms during PIV sex with my partner, and lastly the Womanizer Premium, a truly breathtaking solo-play toy which has quickly become my personal favourite. In fact, whilst it’s only been a few months since I originally reviewed the Premium, it feels like forever, and I think I’ve already had more orgasms with this toy than most people do in a lifetime. So, when Womanizer recently reached out to me and asked if I wanted to try their DUO, which is essentially an upgraded version of the Premium, it was just about the best thing that’s happened to me in months.
Review: Le Wand Point
For a long time, and perhaps even now, my drive for sex toys was driven by aesthetics. I love cute things, but in no other aspect of my life am I able to justify buying multiple versions of essentially the same product just because it looks different. I would never think to purchase different watches or headphones just to have a variety of styles, even if there were slight technical differences between them, but for some reason sex toys defies this thinking for me (and not just because I’m a reviewer). It feels like you can never have enough of them, and I am more than happy to buy a large range of dildos, butt plugs, vibrators and more, even if I already have one that does what it does, based solely on how they look. In fact, I even have multiple versions of the same product just so I could get it in different colours! My point is that I love the aesthetic possibilities that sex toys provide, and so today I want to talk about a company who has embodied this idea perhaps better than any other, and that is Le Wand.
Review: Lovehoney Gyr8tor
If I had to name one initiative in the sex toy industry that I really love, I think I would have to say Lovehoney’s Design a Sex Toy competition. Launched in 2009, the contest is essentially just a way for Lovehoney to come up with new sex toy ideas, except unlike other companies who may just take a customer’s idea and run with it, Lovehoney definitely make it worth your while. Aside from a $5K cash prize upon your idea being chosen, you will also receive royalties from the product if Lovehoney decide to actually make it. In fact, you’ve probably heard of the Sqweel, which, aside from being the first product to win the contest, went on to become so popular that it ended up making its creator over $600K AUD in royalties. So yeah, the Lovehoney Design a Sex Toy competition is a pretty big deal, and if you ever have an idea worth entering I’d highly advise it. Anyway, the reason I’m talking about all of this is because today I will be reviewing the latest winner of the contest, which is a toy so different that Lovehoney have even gone so far as to include the word “revolutionary” in its tagline. Introducing… the Lovehoney Gyr8tor.
