12 Days of Christmas Giveaway!

This holiday season, rather than putting together a huge sales round-up like usual and leaving you all to fend for yourselves, I decided to team up with Lovehoney to curate a list of my favourite items from their store that I thought would make the ultimate Christmas gifts! If you follow me on social media then you’ll know that I am currently in the midst of a festive collaboration with Lovehoney! Titled the 12 Days of Christmas, it’s something we’ve been working on quietly for the last few months, and I’ve been so excited to finally be able to share it with all of you! Basically we put our sex toy expertise together to come up with a list of twelve items from their store that we thought would make the ultimate gifts this holiday season, and now it’s December I’ve been slowly revealing a new one each day over at my Twitter and Instagram in the lead-up to Christmas. So far we’ve looked at the We-Vibe X Lovehoney Remote Control Couples Vibrator for Day 1, the Lovehoney Desire App Controlled Love Egg for Day 2, and the Lovehoney Positions of the Week book for Day 3. But for Day 4 I wanted to do something a little different, and so I’ve been working on a review of today’s item, the Lovehoney Classic Metallic Wand, in secret. Surprise!

As an Australian I don’t tend to make as big as a deal here about the current spooky season as some of my overseas friends, but growing up in Britain means that Halloween is still very much a holiday that holds a dear place in my heart. Still, it’s because of this, and my usual affinity for cute rather than horror toys, that it’s not often you’ll find me participating in any spooktober-style reviews. So when Lovehoney recently reached out to me about their new October releases, my eyes were immediately drawn to the adorable-looking Glow-in-the-Dark Dildo far more than any of their Halloween inspired products. Little did I know however, that when the lights are turned off this dildo become possibly the most spooky of them all! Thus, for the very first time, here I am with a extra special Halloween review!

If I had to name one initiative in the sex toy industry that I really love, I think I would have to say Lovehoney’s Design a Sex Toy competition. Launched in 2009, the contest is essentially just a way for Lovehoney to come up with new sex toy ideas, except unlike other companies who may just take a customer’s idea and run with it, Lovehoney definitely make it worth your while. Aside from a $5K cash prize upon your idea being chosen, you will also receive royalties from the product if Lovehoney decide to actually make it. In fact, you’ve probably heard of the Sqweel, which, aside from being the first product to win the contest, went on to become so popular that it ended up making its creator over $600K AUD in royalties. So yeah, the Lovehoney Design a Sex Toy competition is a pretty big deal, and if you ever have an idea worth entering I’d highly advise it. Anyway, the reason I’m talking about all of this is because today I will be reviewing the latest winner of the contest, which is a toy so different that Lovehoney have even gone so far as to include the word “revolutionary” in its tagline. Introducing… the Lovehoney Gyr8tor.

Wand massagers are easily one of my favourite, if not my absolute favourite, types of sex toys. The best toy I’ve ever tried is one of them, and while they aren’t as versatile as perhaps bullet vibrators or suction toys, you really can’t beat the orgasms you get with them. So it’s surprising to see that it has been well over a year since I last reviewed one. There isn’t really a good reason for this, but if I had to suggest one I would say that the wand vibrator industry has been a little quiet lately, and so there really just hasn’t been anything that has caught my eye enough to request it for review. This changed however, when Lovehoney contacted me last month about reviewing their brand new Desire App-Controlled Knicker Vibrator, and at the same time asked if there was anything else from their luxury Desire range I’d be interested in. It then only took one look at their store for my eyes to be instantly drawn to their uniquely shaped Desire Wand Vibrator.

Over the last month I’ve been taking a look at three of the hottest panty vibrators on the market right now, firstly in the hopes of understanding a toy I had little previous experience with, and secondly so that I’m able to confidently recommend one to my readers. So far I’ve looked at the Bestvibe Remote Wearable Vibrator, a remote control and budget-friendly toy which featured an internal arm for added G-Spot stimulation (not that it could reach mine), but was let down by weak vibrations and an excessive noise level, among other things. Then, there was the We-Vibe Moxie, a practically faultless vibe which could be controlled both by a remote and an app, and that would attach to your underwear magnetically. Now, we’ve finally made it to the last product in my round-up, and it’s the brand new Lovehoney Desire App-Controlled Knicker Vibrator. This version of the classic toy is different once again, as it only has an app for external control and also comes with a compatible pair of underwear. So as a fan of the Lovehoney toy range I’ve been super excited to try out this product for them, and to see how it fares amongst my other panty vibes!
