Edging. I’ve spoken about it so many times over the years, and even have it down as one of the aspects I assess sex toys on when I review them. It’s something I feel many people do naturally, like an instinct, and a method of pleasure I’ve shared with all of my sexual partners. But in speaking to new people recently, I’ve started to realise that not everyone knows what it is and how to do it. When I first bought the Tantus Vamp, an “average size” toy, at 18 years of age, I had no idea the path it would set me on. It was one of my very first dildos, and there was no doubt in my mind that I would love it. Yet inserting it was a difficult, painful experience, and eventually I had to admit defeat. As a baby reviewer, it was an embarrassing and confusing time. Why could all my peers enjoy this toy, but not me? It’s now been almost ten years since then, but still it influences every product I test and brand I work with. And with the recent rise of the indie fantasy maker, the industry’s tendency towards large toys has only grown, leaving me unable to find a single toy that would work for my experienced vagina in some stores. It’s getting real tiring, and I can’t help but worry about people out there like me. So today I wanted to share more on why that might be, and my recommendations on how to move forward.

In case you didn’t know, I was a webcam performer for years before I started reviewing sex toys professionally. Not only was it a great source of income for an 18-year-old me who had just moved out of home, but it was damn fun. In fact, when I started it was simply because of how much I enjoyed the attention and creative outlets it provided, and only later did I start to think of it as work.
