Welcome to my guide of the Top 10 Sex Toys of 2016 that I have had the pleasure to review. This post features toys I have reviewed this year, whether they are a few years old or brand spanking new. Originally this post was drafted in early November, naively I somehow thought that I could get it out of the way early, with perhaps a few changes here and there, but overall the list wouldn’t change too much. Oh, how wrong I was. Instead the list has been changing up until the last minute, and I’ve desperately been trying to get through as much of my review queue as possible before this post came out so I could get everything squeezed in.
This is my first ever ‘Best Of’ post, since in 2015 I had only been blogging a few months, and I’m very excited to feature all the amazing products I have been lucky enough to try out this year. My toy collection has grown substantially and I’m happy to that see my original blogger’s ‘wishlist’ has been fulfilled. When I first wrote my Top 10 Sex Toys of 2016 I had four categories: dildos, vibrators, anal toys and lube, and featured my favourite three from each. This quickly became too difficult though, I have reviewed so many amazing dildos and vibrators this year, and so few anal toys and lubricants it didn’t really seem fair or balanced. Because of this I eventually decided to step away from usual tradition and instead just write a list of the Top 10 Sex Toys of 2016. This list ranges all categories, except lube (but you already know my favourites are Sliquid Satin and Good Clean Love Almost Naked), and just toys I have reviewed this year. Even though I’m comparing toys that are very different I’ve tried my best to pick out my favourites and rank them accordingly based on what I thought of them when I initially reviewed them and how much I have used them since, so please enjoy!
Top 10 Sex Toys of 2016
Number 10 – Laid D.1 Stone
I’m so glad that the Laid D.1 Stone managed to make it into this list. It truly is absolutely gorgeous and very much deserves to be listed among the best sex toys ever made. While its intended purpose of G-spot stimulation through its asymmetrical design didn’t actually work for my body, I still highly value it and love to use it simply because of its material. I mean, how could you not completely adore something that was 300 million years in the making? Even though using this dildo doesn’t bring me huge amounts of pleasure, I find its cool and smooth stone very relaxing and soothing as it helps connect my body to the earth.
The Laid D.1 Stone Dildo has now been discontinued.
Number 9 – IMTOY Zoo Gazelle
The IMTOY Zoo Gazelle is one of those toys that I unexpectedly loved. When I first received it it was brand new with no reviews yet published. Plus, it my first IMTOY toy and their first crack at a wand massager. I had no idea what to expect, so I was completely blown away when this gorgeous candy-floss coloured silky silicone beauty arrived at my door. While it can’t compete with my larger wand massagers, it has found its place as a great alternative for my We-Vibe Tango when I require some clit stimulation while using dildos with hard materials such as glass, metal and stone, since its soft silicone and rounded head doesn’t interfere with them.
The IMTOY Zoo Gazelle has now been discontinued.
Number 8 – Tantus Flurry
It wouldn’t be a top ten list without my favourite dildo manufacturer, Tantus, making an appearance! The Tantus Flurry is just one of those toys I just instantly found myself connected to. Everything about it visually I just adore, and I quickly proclaimed that if I had a dick this would be it. I again found that it didn’t work with my G-spot like so many other silicone dildos that I have tried, but it soon became obvious that the strengths that were originally meant to make it amazing for the G-spot were instead destined for my A-spot. The dual density of the silicone, long length of the shaft and soft tapered tip all allowed for this to hit my A-spot in a way that allowed it to feel as stunning as it looked.
You can get the Flurry directly from Tantus for just $95 AUD / $63 USD!
Number 7 – Tantus Gary
My second Tantus toy on the list, the Tantus Gary is my most realistic and largest insertable toy yet. While it appears very intimidating at first, its soft dual density silicone allows insertion to be relatively easy and very realistic feeling. The combination of its size and texture makes thrusting with it amazing, plus its ability to hit my A-spot when positioned right never fails. This has quickly become my favourite toy for A-spotting and combined with the We-Vibe Tango I can have some breathtaking orgasms with it.
You can get the Gary directly from Tantus for just $157 AUD / $105 USD!
Number 6 – Doxy Die Cast Wand
My Doxy Die Cast Wand is one of the prized jewels of my collection. I love everything about it and in theory it should be ahead of the Magic Wand Rechargeable on this list. I have so much respect for the team behind it, plus it’s Australian friendly, and I will continue to recommend it over the Magic Wand to anyone who asks me. But, sadly, my final verdict for this list comes down to what my body likes most, and contrary to my own ideals, my body generally chooses the Magic Wand. Despite this, the Doxy Die Cast is a fabulous product that can give me an unlimited amount of orgasms and that I cherish very much. It really is a beautiful piece of work that I believe everyone should own.
You can get the Doxy Die Cast Massage Wand at Lovehoney for just $274.95 AUD / $224.99 USD!
Number 5 – Jopen Key Comet Wand
If it wasn’t for the fact that I managed to sneak in reviewing the Njoy Pure Wand this month, the Jopen Comet Wand would most certainly be my top dildo of 2016. It was the first dildo to ever really stimulate my G-spot, which in turn opened up a whole new world of pleasure for me. It really is a beautiful toy too, with its combination of both glass and silicone. While my Pure Wand beat the Comet Wand out in terms of solo pleasure, the Comet Wand remains my favourite toy for my partner to use on me, so it won’t be leaving my bedside table anytime soon.
The Jopen Key Comet Wand has now been discontinued.
Number 4 – We-Vibe Tango
The We-Vibe Tango is one of those toys that has appeared on everyone’s “Best of X” list at some point. It has amazing power for such a small bullet vibe and I doubt you’ll find a blogger out there that doesn’t love it. My reaction to getting one was no different, I adore it and use it constantly, whether it’s during PIV sex with my partner or solo masturbation while I use dildos. It has the ability to change the use of any insertable toy from alright to absolutely amazing in a matter of seconds, and it’s likely without it I wouldn’t be able to orgasm half as quickly as I do or at all with most dildos. It is the perfect companion vibe and for its price I would really recommend it to everyone.
You can get the Tango II directly from We-Vibe for just $109 AUD / $79 USD!
Number 3 – Satisfyer Pro 2
2016 has really been the year of clitoral stimulation, as we have watched the rise of both the Womanizer and Satisfyer brands. I was skeptical at first until I finally got one for myself, the Satisfyer Pro 2, and became a devoted fan overnight. It really is like nothing else I have ever tried before and I find it completely changed the way I masturbate. Rather than the usual relaxed masturbating with dildos paired with a clit vibe or a wand massager that I do to help me fall asleep, the Satisfyer Pro 2 instead is intense, it brings tears to my eyes and when I’m done I feel wide awake and ready for more. I’m so glad to see that both Womanizer and Satisfyer have been bringing out more affordable versions of their toys lately and I can’t wait to see where this new technology goes in 2017.
The Satisfyer Pro 2 has now been discontinued. You might be interested in my reviews of its second and third generation.
Number 2 – Njoy Pure Wand
When I found out I was getting a Njoy Pure Wand I knew I had to finish its review before I published my end of year post. I had a feeling it would do rather well on the list, and I was not disappointed. The Pure Wand has practically revolutionised the way I masturbate. I’m the sort of person who has one or two orgasms and calls it a day, but with the Pure Wand not only can I have multiple orgasms but I actively pursue them. The G-spot orgasms I have with it are on another level to that of any orgasm I’ve had before, which is probably why I find them so addictive. This toy is very much deserving of not only being my second favourite toy of the year but my favourite dildo ever.
You can get the Njoy Pure Wand at Lovehoney for just $249.95 AUD / $149.99 USD!
Number 1 – Magic Wand Rechargeable
I was a little unsure whether I should place the Magic Wand Rechargeable at Number 1. If you’re talking about toys that have wow’d me the most and I’ve had the most intense orgasms from then the Njoy Pure Wand or Satisfyer Pro 2 should be sitting in this spot. If you’re talking about the wand massager I believe is best and I would most recommend then the Doxy Die Cast should be here. But this list isn’t supposed to be about what I think is best, it is about what my body enjoys the most, and that’s the Magic Wand Rechargeable. The MWR doesn’t give me crazy orgasms, but in the period of time I have had it is has given me more orgasms than any other toy. These are usually when I’ve had a busy day and I just want to get off to help me get to sleep, but being able to orgasm just for the purposes of de-stressing and unwinding after a long day is one of my favourite things about them. At this point I don’t even see my MWR as a sex toy, it is more just like my companion that I take around the house with me. It is not uncommon to find me watching TV with it or curled up in bed alongside it. So while I do recommend the Doxy Die Cast over it, I can’t help but put the Magic Wand Rechargeable at the top of this list.
You can get the Magic Wand Rechargeable at Lovehoney for just $229.95 AUD / $149.99 USD!

While it may look like some sort of pore extraction machine from Sephora, the Womanizer is actually legit AF when it comes to new sex toy tech. This toy creates a seal around your clit and then sucks
I’ve never seen the IMTOY Zoo Gazelle. Looks cute, and interesting! Going to check it out because of this… Thank you!
It looks like we have very similar taste! haha
While I haven’t tried alllll of them on your list, there are some that I have loved and some that I know I would love if given the chance!
Your photos are beautiful!
Haha yes I often find our taste is fairly on point when reading your reviews! Thanks so much xx
Love this review! Very insightful
I do see quite a bit of overlap on beloved toys, so maybe I do need to try a wand…
I haven’t found a way to make the doxy die cast (or any wand) to work for me. Too wide. I’ve bought some attachments to try to focus on my spot. I prefer pinpoint vibrations, like Tango’s, but what I really really crave for is the subtle yet intense feeling of air pulse/suckling/vibration I get from my womanizer, so I am really eager to try out any Satisfyer.
I want them all! To bad I’m a broke college student haha
How have I only just seen this list?!
