Acoustic masturbation isn’t something I get up to much these days considering my job as a sex toy tester. But it’s where I, like many others, had my start with pleasure. I’ve always opted for non-penetrative play, ruining many pillows and bedsheets during my youth, which is why external toys like wand massagers and suction toys continue to be my favourites today. And it seems I’m not alone, with the majority of people with a clitoris choosing to focus on this too. Yet this isn’t something I was aware of growing up, and even though I had a much more comprehensive sexual education than most, I was under the belief that fingering was the correct way to masturbate (apparently this was taught during a class I missed, alongside a video demonstration on it, although I now wonder if my friends were just joking). I hated the idea and avoided it despite my concerns that I was doing something wrong, and even now the only things to enter my vagina are toys, my menstrual cup, and my partner. But for today’s review I’m hoping to challenge my thoughts on this common style of masturbation, with the YoYoLemon Licking Vibrator!
Product Description
So, how exactly am I going to experience the joys of self-fingering by using yet another sex toy? Well, the YoYoLemon Licking Vibrator, also known as the Gender X Flick It, is unlike any other product I’ve tried, because rather than providing you with a handle to hold, it features a hole for your finger to be inserted into! Similar to a penis extender or sleeve, the idea here is that you can effectively “wear” the toy on your finger, allowing it to enhance any fingering you’re already doing. For internal pleasure, it features vibrations, whilst for external stimulation it provides a small flicking tongue for oral sex simulation. All of this is then controlled with a single button located roughly where your palm would rest, which is surrounded by reflective gold plastic. The rest of the toy is black, with this being the only available colour at YoYoLemon, and silky smooth medium-density silicone is used, keeping the toy both body-safe and flexible. On the internal shaft you’ll find some light ribbing to provide texture, as well as a pointed head for easy insertion, and in addition to the first insertable hole, which is only big enough to fit one finger, there is also another that rests directly above it, connecting to the same area and presumably for the middle knuckle to stick through when your finger is bent. The Licking Vibrator then has magnetic plates for its charging cord on one side of it, and rather than the protruding tongue being surrounded by a circular nozzle, it instead has two small flaps that resemble an open mouth. Finally, this toy is fully waterproof and USB rechargeable, and whilst it is also anal safe, it is not intended for this use.
Packaging
My order with YoYoLemon for the Licking Vibrator was placed on the 22nd of June and I received it on the 2nd of July. The package was then fully discreet, with no mention of the sender or what was inside. As for the packaging of the toy itself, this was also discreet, being a plain black box with nothing on it except for a luxurious-looking diamond pattern. I’ve grown accustomed to this sort of thing when working with white-label toys and I enjoy how private it is, making it much easier to reuse the box. However, if you care about packaging or plan on giving this as a gift, it can seem a little strange. Opening this up, you’ll then find the Licking Vibrator resting safely in foam, alongside its charging cord and a small piece of paper going over the product’s instructions. In addition, YoYoLemon also provides a two year warranty with this toy.
Charging
Charging the YoYoLemon Licking Vibrator is easy as it is waterproof. Simply plug one end of the cord into a USB port, whilst the other end can connect magnetically to the metal plates on the toy. Do be careful though, as the connection strength is a little weak, meaning the cord can disconnect on its own unless a stable resting spot is found. Once on charge a light will begin to flash, with this becoming solid upon completion, and it should take around one hour (two hours if you listen to the YoYoLemon website) to give you a full battery, which when used should last around 50 to 90 minutes. Additionally, YoYoLemon recommends charging the toy before first use.
Controls
Although the YoYoLemon Licking Vibrator has two functions (external licking and internal vibrations), it only has one button. This means the two cannot be used separately, making the toy less versatile, which may be a big downside for anyone hoping to occasionally use the flicking stimulator without the internal element, or vice versa. To use, simply hold down the button for three seconds, which will place both motors on their lowest speeds. You can then continue to press this to cycle through the nine modes, three of which are steady and six of which are patterns, before holding the button down again to turn it back off. The upside to this is that at least its simple nature means it is quick to start using.
First Impressions
I was very intrigued by the unusual design of this product, with the closest thing I’ve tried to it being Uberrime’s Tentare Tentacle, a fantasy bullet sleeve that I found worked well on my finger. The first surprise though was that my finger can only enter the first two-thirds of the shaft, partly because the rest of it is blocked off for the vibrating motor, and partly because I wouldn’t be able to reach any further even if it was unblocked. This caused a bit of concern, because whilst I know my finger can reach my G-Spot, having a few extra inches added to it may start to cause issues. Turning it on, I was then greeted by fairly weak vibrations, yet with a rather effective looking tongue. The only other negative was the noise level, which is a bit louder than expected, although not so much that it may cause issues with discretion. However, occasionally during use it has also been known to make a strange high-pitched noise, which I have not enjoyed.
My Experience
I’m not going to beat about the bush with this one: the YoYoLemon Licking Vibrator has to be one of the worst sex toys I’ve tried. The good news is that it hasn’t caused me any injuries or discomfort (it’s a low bar), but the bad news is that the finger concept simply does not work. Inserting the product is easy since it’s quite a slim and tapered shaft, and whilst having your finger inside of it is a little awkward (particularly for the other fingers, which get very messy in the process), I suppose it is no more so than fingering yourself normally. But once inside, any ability I had previously to bend my finger in that typical “come hither” fashion is completely gone. This is due to my finger tip resting roughly in the middle of the shaft, and so there’s no way to direct the other half of it, which is wedged between my vaginal walls. So if I can’t bend the shaft, what can I do with my finger inside of the Licking Vibrator? Well, my initial thought was to use it to thrust the toy, but even though it does at least stay on well enough for this to work, without anywhere to direct it, it feels a little pointless. Not to mention that I am unable to muster the typical speed I would use if I was just holding onto a handle, and that the whole situation can be incredibly tiring on both my finger and wrist, so that I cannot do it for very long. With my only options extinguished, it means there’s really no point to using the finger hole at all. Yet without this, there’s no way to move or direct the internal shaft, and so those weak vibrations just end up getting lost within me. Additionally, it’s worth noting that when I am using the finger hole, that secondary knuckle hole tends to get inserted by accident, and whilst I cannot feel this, it makes for an even messier experience.
The only upside to the YoYoLemon Licking Vibrator is the licking tongue on my clitoris. It isn’t anywhere near the best oral sex simulation I’ve experienced, but it is at least better than nothing. When the shaft is inserted, it is able to sit on my clit without issue (truly the only reason to bother inserting it), allowing for easy hands-free pleasure, and after enough time I can eventually orgasm from it. This, however, is another reason I don’t feel you can do anything with the internal shaft, because any thrusting you can achieve, means that you end up removing the stimulator from the clitoris in the process, which is absolutely not worth it.
Cleaning & Care
Since the YoYoLemon Licking Vibrator is fully waterproof, cleaning it is easy. Simply soak it in some warm soapy water, before rinsing and leaving to air dry. I’d recommend also trying to wash out the finger hole since this too can get rather messy. Afterwards I’d suggest storing it in a zip-lock bag to keep clean, as the silicone can attract dust. Additionally, make sure to not use silicone-based lubricants with this product, as it may compromise the material it is made of.
Final Thoughts
At just $75 AUD / $50 USD, I’m glad to say that the YoYoLemon Licking Vibrator is one of the cheapest electronics I’ve tested. But even that low a price does not make this product worth it. I love that YoYoLemon took a chance on this design and tried to do something new, but the Licking Vibrator is something that should have never gone to market. If they want to create a finger sleeve, the finger’s tip needs to be at the tip of the toy, so that it can direct and flex the silicone whilst inserted within you. The problem with this, of course, is that there will be no room for the motor, but considering the Licking Vibrator’s weak vibrations didn’t offer anything anyway, it would have been a worthy trade. I also feel like having the secondary hole was completely unnecessary, resulting in everything getting more messy than need be, and I wouldn’t have been opposed to being able to insert two fingers instead of one, as it would have allowed me to put much more force in during play. Anyway, thank fuck for the tongue, as this was truly the toy’s only saving grace. Not enough to make it worth your money, there are plenty of far better options, but at least so that my testing wasn’t a complete disaster. Overall, this is not a toy I will be returning to, nor can I recommend, but it is a style I hope to see improved upon in the future, either by YoYoLemon or someone else.

Okay
Unfortunately this toy failed to execute its unique design and fell short in terms of pleasure.
