Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster

Over the last few weeks I’ve been taking a look at a string of new product types at the blog, from grinders, rotating panty toys, and even seated vibrators! But today’s review really takes the cake for the most elaborate new category of sex toy that I’ve been game enough to try. Sent to me by blog sponsor AcmeJoy, the Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster is the first realistic electronic toy that I’ve tried, combining the phallic dildos that I so adore with thrusting powers for the first time. But it’s not just that, because as the name suggests, this toy offers four unique functions! In addition to the thrusting, there is also vibrations, rotating, and heating, making this multi-purpose vibe one of the most versatile I’ve seen.

Product Description

The Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster, or “Allovers 6-Inch 4 in 1 Versatile Rotating Thrusting Vibrating Heating Dildo” as the AcmeJoy website calls it, is a popular white-label product I’ve seen many times over the years. A hybrid between a realistic dildo, G-Spot vibrator and thruster, I’ve always found the idea of a large handle sticking out of a disembodied penis a bit too much for me, but after being approached to review it recently, figured it was about time I finally gave it a shot. Measuring at 28cm / 11″ in total length, it is quite a long product, and Allovers don’t hold back on providing a fully lifelike dildo for its first 17cm / 6.7″, with 14.5cm / 5.7″ of that being insertable. Made from quite a tacky and lint-attracting silicone (and holding up to a flame test as such), it features veins, skin folds, textured balls and a prominent head along its straight and 4.1cm / 1.63″ diameter shaft. Then, whilst the head is entirely squishy, as well as a section around the middle of the toy, the rest is rather firm, with only a thin layer of silicone covering an otherwise electronic plastic interior. Underneath all this you’ll then find the 11cm / 4.3″ long handle, which is made from a firm matte silicone and comes in either white or purple (which is what I have. No variation to the skin tone on the dildo is available, however). This curves slightly to make grip more comfortable, and on the front you’ll find the toy’s three buttons amongst quite an elaborate design, which reminds me of some kind of magical girl’s wand. Above this you’ll then find a brand logo (although this is neither Allover’s nor AcmeJoy’s, and I have been unable to figure out who it belongs to), and at the very bottom of the handle is the charging hole for the magnetic charger. Finally, the 4-in-1 Thruster is also fully waterproof and USB rechargeable, and because of the testicles it is also anal-safe.

The Brand

Before I go any further, I just want to take a moment to introduce my blog sponsor AcmeJoy, since it is my first time reviewing for them! Based in the USA, this online retailer offers a wide range of sex toys. From realistic dildos and anal toys, to masturbators and vibrators, they’re confident you’ll find something to suit you in their wide range of white-label products. Valuing fun and privacy for their customers above all else, they then offer a 90-day returns policy alongside discreet shipping for peace of mind. While only domestic delivery is available, you can expect shipping for a flat-rate of just $8 USD, with orders over $72 receiving it for free. As for Allovers, I have tried a number of their toys before, however since they’re a white-label manufacturer, their products are usually rebranded by the retailer before I get to them, and they do not appear to have a proper website or social media.

Packaging

The box and instruction manual.

My order with AcmeJoy for the Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster was placed on the 12th of May and the package arrived on the 24th. It was then fully discreet, with no mention of the sender or what was inside. As for the packaging of the toy itself, this was then the same as many other white-label toys I have received (including my very recent review of the Bestvibe Sucking Vibrator, which it’s identical to in every regard but the size), being a plain black box featuring an address in Germany and nothing else. This is good since it keeps it discreet, but for anyone hoping for gift-worthy packaging, it may not be for you. Opening it up, I then found the toy resting in a plastic shell, however since the box was not shipped with much protection, unfortunately much of the shell is broken, which wasn’t a good first impression. The toy was then sealed in a bag, which I like as it ensures it is clean and untouched, and came with its instruction manual and charging cord. Overall, this is all fine, but obviously extremely basic.

Charging

Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster Charging

Since the Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster is USB rechargeable, charging it is easy. Simply plug one end into the bottom of the toy, which should connect magnetically, and then place the other end into a USB port. Plus, the magnets are quite strong, so you shouldn’t need to worry about it falling off like with some toys. When charging an LED light on the toy should then flash, and this will become solid once complete, with charging taking roughly 2 hours and giving you around 1 hour of use, although I have had my Thruster die notably sooner than that. Allovers also note that you should not charge the 4-in-1 Thruster when there is any water around the charging port, which is a pretty common situation after cleaning and quite hard to get rid of, so I’ve frustratingly had to delay many of my testing sessions because of not being able to charge it.

Controls

Controlling the Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster was always going to be a bit difficult with so many different functions, but they certainly don’t make it any easier with a control panel that looks like something out of an anime. Plus, whilst the instructions do have a lengthy section in English explaining the controls, confusing language that I can only imagine are translation issues makes it very difficult to understand. From what I’ve figured out, however, you can use the three buttons on the front of the toy (these are just the small circles, as everything else is simply non-functional decals) to control the four functions, with the rotations being combined with the thrusting. The top button (which seems to have a picture of a bird?) is the power button, as well as the thrusting / rotating controls, whilst the button to the left is the heating function (fire symbol) and the button to the right is for the vibrations (vibrations symbol, but looks more like an umbrella). To start, hold down the power button for two seconds, which will place the toy on stand-by mode, with success being indicated by the LED lights turning on. After this you can then press any of the three buttons to turn on your desired function, and they can all be used together or separately. The heating is simple, as you can toggle it on and off with one press, whilst the vibrations button lets you cycle through the toy’s 10 modes, with two being steady speeds and eight being patterns, and a long press turning them off again. As for the thrusting / rotating, pressing the top button again will turn this on, and you can cycle through six modes, with a long press then turning off the whole toy. In addition, you can also double click the power button to pause and unpause the toy’s functions, which the instructions refer to as “touch mode”. While I’m not 100% sure of the intended purpose of this, both it and the initial stand-by mode are useful when inserting the toy into you, as this can be difficult with the thrusting function running.

Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster Controls and Handle

First Impressions

Turning the Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster on for the first time, I was eager to see how each of its four functions would work. I’ve previously only tested three thruster toys, with each offering the typically-luxury form of stimulation in different ways, and from the Thruster’s appearance I figured it would use magnets in order to rock back and forth similar to the ZALO Desire and Fun Factory Stronic Eins. But instead I was totally taken aback when I saw that it instead has the ability to literally extend, as with the MiaMaxx Hand-Held Thruster. Whilst that toy has an accordion-like section to allow for this though, the Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster makes use of its stretchy silicone skin so that the toy may simply grow up to 32cm / 12.6″ in length (that’s 4cm / 1.6″ more!). This, whilst kind of hilarious looking, is pretty impressive, and certainly one of the best interpretations of a thruster I’ve seen. As for the rotating, however, this sadly does seem somewhat non-existent. In both the instructions and website, the toy is described as having “6 rotating & thrusting mix-matches”, meaning they are controlled together (and this is further reinforced by there only being three buttons). Yet whilst the shaft certainly moves around a lot during the thrusting, I wouldn’t say it has the 360° movement as advertised. Instead, it feels more like they wanted to say it had an extra function, and figured rotating would work because it technically does it anyway when thrusting.

In regards to the toy’s vibrations, these seem to be located in the firm area just under the Allover 4-in-1 Thruster’s head. While it’s a shame only two steady speeds are offered, and that they aren’t super powerful, they are at least not as buzzy as I was anticipating. Plus, they are actually quiet, which is fantastic. This level of discreet play doesn’t last for long however, as the thrusting mechanism is, as expected, quite loud. So not only does this mean you’re going to have trouble using this without the utmost privacy, but it can also be fairly off-putting during use.

My Experience

Being slightly larger than most internal vibrators, insertion can take some time. This is helped by the super squishy head, but the firmer sections along the shaft where the electronics are (which have hard 90° angles and ridges that can be clearly felt through the silicone) slow things down and can be quite uncomfortable. So to combat this I like to first use my Funkit Toys NoFrillDo R to warm up. The next issue I run into is how to use the controls, because whilst I prefer to use realistic toys in the way a real penis would be inserted (so with the balls facing away from me), the buttons for this toy are on the opposite side of the handle. This seems like a bit of an oversight, and essentially forces me to use the toy back-to-front so that I may be able to adequately see what I am doing, and perhaps wouldn’t be so bad if there weren’t so many unnecessary decals surrounding the buttons. Plus, having the toy’s testicles hovering over my clitoris then causes further problems, as it doesn’t allow me to use a clitoral vibrator alongside the Thruster.

Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster Close Up

To test the Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster, I started off just using it without any functions turned on. Like this it is somewhat stimulating due to its large size, although the straight shaft ensures I can’t receive any G-Spot pleasure from it. In fact, even if I wanted to angle the toy towards my G-Spot, I can’t, as the handle makes the toy so long that I am not able to reach my arm far enough. It can, however, reach my A-Spot when finishing off with some deep thrusts. Then, as for trying it with the vibrations, these really don’t add much since I have nowhere to focus them. Finally, turning on the thrusting is like using an entirely different toy. Working pretty much as intended, the core function of the Thruster really is impressive, although sadly not without flaws. As with most toys of this nature, I need to hold it in place quite firmly with either my hands or my legs, as otherwise the handle will just move around (and eventually fall out), whilst the portion in my vagina stays put. But the downside is that the further I push the toy inside of me, the more the thrusting slows down, to the point of it stopping entirely once I have inserted the full length. This then leads to one of the biggest hindrances of my enjoyment of the toy, which is that it is not fast enough, and the more I want to increase the sensation, the slower it goes. Plus, I find that all this moving back and forth really starts to emphasise the repeated changes in density across the toy’s shaft, and it can become quite uncomfortable to use after extended periods of time.

Heating

Being the middle of winter where I am, the heating function in the Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster was something I was quite excited for. The instructions state it should take around 5 minutes to heat to the maximum temperature of 42°C / 107.6°F, however I find it takes at least 10 before I can really feel any heat coming from the toy, and even then I would say it is well below the expected temperature. It doesn’t really increase much more after this, and the heat is only located in the hollow section near the middle of the toy’s shaft. So because of this, it doesn’t really make much of an impact in use, as the head remains cold whilst the heated mid-shaft kind of mingles with my own warmth. Plus, having to wait 10 minutes for it to even start working is just too long, and has meant I haven’t used the function as much as I had originally planned.

Cleaning & Care

Since the Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster is waterproof, cleaning it is relatively simple. Just wipe it down with some warm soapy water, before rinsing, leaving to air dry, and placing in a ziplock bag. You’ll also want to make sure to carefully scrub over any heavily textured areas, such as around the head, as bacteria can easily hide here. Typically with realistic toys featuring this level of detailing I would also recommend sterilising it by boiling after every couple of uses, but due to the electronics inside this is probably not a good idea. So instead you can wipe it over with a 10% bleach solution. After this, the only real downside to the care for this toy is trying to dry it, as I find water can easily get caught in its various seams. This, combined with how much it attracts dust and hair, makes it a challenge to store while still clean, as by the time it dries I tend to find it needs washing again. Finally, since this toy is made with silicone, you will want to avoid using silicone-based lubricants with it.

Final Thoughts

Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster

While I did have an enjoyable time testing out the Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster, there were obviously some issues that were hard to overlook. To start, there is the fact that this should really be called the Allovers 3-in-1 Thruster, as the advertised rotating was nowhere to be found, aside from the toy’s own janky movements when extending. Then, there was the fact that even its core function of thrusting couldn’t work properly once inserted into my vagina… which is kind of the whole point. This meant that rather than quick sex-like thrusts, instead I only had slow and drawn out movements to enjoy, and the more into it I got, the slower it would go. Plus, don’t forget that I struggled to even use a clitoral vibrator alongside it to offset some of this, as the controls being on the back of the toy’s handle forced me to use it the wrong way round. Overall, I would say that probably the biggest thing this toy has going for it is its price, which at the time of writing is just $95 AUD / $65 USD, making it the cheapest thruster I’ve ever tried, and by a long shot too. With this in mind, if you’re after a cheaper thruster and have considered the flaws I’ve laid out here, then by all means grab yourself an Allovers 4-in-1 Thruster. Just remember that you get what you pay for!
