Before I was a sex toy reviewer, I was a cam girl. It was one of the reasons why I first started my now huge collection of dildos and vibrators, except when I began I had truly no idea how to buy adult sex toys online. Instead, I usually just spent my time making Amazon wishlists filled with whatever I thought was the cutest and the cheapest. But after my inexperience and penny-pinching led to health complications (more on that later) and a number of toys arriving that wouldn’t even turn on, I started to do my own research into toys, which is what ultimately led me down this path. Yet even this wasn’t exactly straight-forward, as I quickly found that the world of sex toys is a complicated place filled with misinformation, and working out which advice to follow and which toys were best wasn’t the easiest task. As such, today I’ve decided to write a guide on what I now consider the 5 Best Types of Sex Toys for Cam Girls, as I know I would have found something like this super helpful back then, and so I hope you do too.
Rather than just typing up a shopping list like most articles of this nature, I have instead tried to highlight certain styles of toys, so that you can still choose which specific products are most appropriate for you based on your budget and pleasure preferences. Let’s admit it, we’re living in the future. We might not have flying cars or hoverboards yet, but we’re pretty damn close with our home assistants, drone pizza deliveries and facial recognition vending machines. Grab a unicorn horn or magical girl inspired dildo. Do you wish Halloween was every day of the year? Then consider a pumpkin ball gag or ghost dildo. Or perhaps you built your brand around simply being a geek, in which case their store also offers toys from a range of different fandoms, such as Game of Thrones, Marvel, and Pokemon, letting you choose whatever you think reflects you best. By having these sorts of unique toys on show for those new to your cam room it also helps attract the sort of audience that you’re looking to cultivate. Pillows & Throws
Okay, so these technically aren’t sex toys. But they’re still very much sex related and help with everything else I’m talking about here, so I felt they were still pretty relevant. To be honest, I don’t see a lot of cam girls utilising these sorts of items, and I think it’s a bit of a travesty. Sitting on cam for hours at a time, often at weird angles and positions to make yourself look good, can put a huge strain on your body, and so comfort is of the utmost importance in this industry. That’s why the sex pillows that brands like Liberator make can be so helpful, as not only can you mix-and-match them to create support for whatever strange position you find yourself in next, but the material is also moisture-resistant and machine washable, so you don’t need to worry about things getting messy. Anything Body-Safe
While I’ve recommended a lot of good stuff above, there is really only one thing that matters when it comes to buying sex toys, and that’s making sure they’re body-safe. Almost every day I see cam girls on Twitter sharing photos of their jelly toys and it’s really devastating to watch. But I always resist commenting, because I don’t want to be that person, as much as I kinda wish I was. I’ve written about the effects that non-body safe toys can have a few times, and I am speaking from first hand experience, as the first toy I ever bought burned me internally so bad I had to go to seek medical help. But even if you’ve had a jelly toy for a while and are thinking, “I’ve never had any problems with it, so this one must be okay”, please understand that the biggest problem with these products is that they degrade over time, so a toy that is fine right now might start causing you serious health issues later down the track.
