Pink Punch Peachu

My blog has always been closely linked to suction toys. The obvious reason is because they are my favourite type of sex toy, and I love to review them and encourage others to experience their life changing orgasms. But the other, lesser known, reason is that I started my blog the same year they were first released, and I feel like we’ve grown up together in a way. Far from their origins as a tacky animal-print design with an awful name (alright, the name still exists), there are now hundreds of air pressure wave toys out there, and almost ten years later brands are still finding ways to innovate upon them. That takes us to today’s review, which features the new Pink Punch Peachu’s take on suction with a twist: an alternative D-shaped nozzle!

The Brand

Pink Punch are a new sex toy manufacturer and retailer based in Hong Kong that recently came onto the scene with their popular Sunset Mushroom in 2021. With an eye for design, the brand makes sure their products are visually appealing to help combat society’s stigma around sex toys, whilst also innovating to bring new experiences to the industry. Portable charging cases and app-control with a “cyberpunk UI” are two such selling points they bring to their catalogue, which just recently expanded to include the Peachu. Safety is also first and foremost, with both of their products being made with body-safe silicone, whilst they also take time to ensure their work meets the appropriate environmental standards. Product Description

Whilst Pink Punch’s OG Sunset Mushroom was a mini massager, their new Peachu sees them taking on air pressure waves for the first time to try and create a hit suction toy. Advertised as a “revolutionary” new product, although I am unsure what makes it worthy of that title, Pink Punch keep things simple by using a peach as their visual inspiration, since this fruit is already considered cute (and a sex symbol!) by many. A little larger than a real peach, the Peachu uses a gradient of yellow across its almost-round body (which is the only colour it’s available in), alongside an outer layer of extra squishy translucent silicone, which creates a wonderful and unique effect I’ve never seen on a sex toy before. This culminates in a soft tip at the very top of the product, whilst at the other end you’ll find a flat base made of plastic, which features the toy’s single button, charging plates, and the Pink Punch logo. Its special D-shaped suction nozzle is then close to the top of the product, with control of it mostly intended to run through the brand’s mobile app. In addition, the Peachu comes with a cute charging dock, which doubles as a display stand and travel case, and is both USB rechargeable and fully waterproof.

Packaging

More photos of the Peachu’s excellent packaging are linked below.

My order for the Peachu was placed with Pink Punch on the 8th of March and I received it promptly on the 11th. The package was then 100% discreet, with no mention of the sender or what was inside. Being my first product from Pink Punch, I had no idea what to expect from the packaging, and I was totally blown away by the contents, with it being immediately clear that a lot of work and thought has been put into this. A fairly large, high-quality box with a white to yellow gradient, this is initially surrounded by a clear plastic sleeve which features all of the package’s text components. This has a really neat 3D effect when covering the box, but it also doubles as a way to keep things discreet, as once it’s removed the only things on the box are the Pink Punch logo and some stylised drawings. A ribbon then allows you to open the box by pulling the front panel forward, which reveals the toy sitting in its charging stand. In addition, the Peachu also comes with its charging cord (which not only features the Pink Punch logo, but is yellow, completely standing out amongst my other cords), instruction manual, introduction card, and a pack of cute stickers. Overall, whilst the main box could be a little smaller, this has to be some of the nicest packaging for a sex toy I’ve ever received.

Charging

Charging the Pink Punch Peachu is easy with its docking station. Simply plug one end of the charging cord into a USB port, and the other end into the bottom of the case. Once this is done, all you need to do is place the Peachu on the stand (the non-symmetrical shape will help you know which way to face it), and magnets will then aid the connection. When charging a light at the front of the case will flash, with this becoming solid upon completion, and it should take two hours to give the Peachu around two hours of use.

Pink Punch Peachu Charging

As for the case itself, this is not only highly functional as a way to protect and show off the Peachu, in addition to charging it, but it looks great too. With the base being yellow with a clear plastic outer shell (reinforcing the 3D look of both the Peachu and its packaging), the lid is then totally clear to allow for easy viewing of the toy. A little yellow silicone handle sits on top, although I haven’t really worked out what this is for other than looking cute, and the only downside I have is that it is a bit difficult to remove the lid once on, although this does work in its favour as a travel case.

Controls

While the Pink Punch Peachu does have an app for even more control options, its single-button control is perfect for those who prefer steady speeds over patterns. Simply hold it down, which will place the Peachu into standby mode, as indicated by it buzzing and a light turning on. You can then continue clicking the button to cycle through five suction intensities, and when you’re done simply hold the button down again to turn the toy off. This all works well and I like the simplicity of it. The only downside is that when the suction first turns on (and the same thing happens when using the app), for the first 0.5 seconds it runs at a high intensity, which can feel a bit jarring and may not be great for beginners or those with a sensitive clitoris. In the same vein, the Peachu’s haptic buzzing to indicate when it is turned on or off also results in a sudden burst of suction, meaning you need to be careful to not have it on you when adjusting the power, which I found difficult to remember during use (much to the dismay of my clitoris).

Pink Punch Peachu Controls

The App

While the Pink Punch app does offer more options for controlling the Peachu, overall it is quite simple in design, especially compared to some of the more comprehensive app controlled toys I usually find myself reviewing. This is perfectly fine with me though, as it has everything a sex toy app needs, just without any of the extra fluff most people probably skip over. For all my thoughts on it, as well as key features and issues I encountered, you can check out my sex toy app review round-up.

First Impressions

Turning the Pink Punch Peachu on for the first time, I immediately noticed that this isn’t the type of suction toy popularised by brands such as Satisfyer and Womanizer. Instead, it is a kind of off-brand imitation style I’ve come to call “tap suction”, as it involves a plate within the nozzle vibrating quickly in order to change the air pressure. Whilst this can work well, the biggest downside is that sometimes the chambers are too small and the plate can actually hit the clitoris, causing harm, so this is something I was definitely worried about. The second concern was then that this suction nozzle is unlike any other I have tried, not only because it is a D shape instead of an O, but because it is flat against the toy without any taper or flare, so much so I can barely even call it a “nozzle”. Plus, another potential issue is that it is also the firmest part of the toy, with hard 90 degree edges that are quite unlike the soft pillowy curves I’m use to from suction toys. Despite all this, the suction does initially seem fine, except for perhaps being a little noisy, making privacy tricky.

My Experience

Pink Punch Peachu Flaw
This dark spot is a hole under the transparent silicone, and there is another on the Peachu’s opposite side. Alongside a subtle seam, they are the only visual downside.

I was quite concerned about being injured by the Pink Punch Peachu’s vibrating plate going into my testing, but I am glad to report that it was immediately obvious this was not going to be a issue with this toy, as the nozzle is big enough to ensure my clitoris doesn’t get hit (although if yours is on the larger side, this may be something to consider). However, something else I realised immediately was a problem. A big part of using a suction toy is their ability to create an air-tight seal around the clitoris, so that it can change the air pressure and provide that signature “sucking” feeling. But due to the Peachu’s nozzle having hard corners, this doesn’t happen. I’ve tested well over thirty suction toys over the last few years, good and bad, yet this is the first time I’ve experienced this, and it’s so disappointing. Thankfully I can still receive some stimulation from the toy, it just isn’t as intense as it would otherwise be, and leaves me constantly longing for more. Due to this, orgasms tend to take quite some time, and when they do come, they aren’t the most satisfying.

Cleaning & Care

Cleaning the Pink Punch Peachu is easy since it is waterproof. After use, simply give the nozzle and body a wash with some warm soapy water, before rinsing and leaving to air dry. In addition, do make sure to not use silicone-based lubricants with this product, as it may damage the silicone it is made of.

Final Thoughts

Pink Punch Peachu Display Case

I really wanted to love the Peachu, but it seems Pink Punch have fallen into the common trap of putting more consideration into how the product looks than how it feels. Because visually, this is a delight. The toy itself is adorable and super comfortable to hold and use, and putting it in its convenient charging dock takes it to a whole other level. Plus, the packaging and the app were both really fun, being some of the best I’ve reviewed. But when it came to actually using the toy for what it’s made for, it fell short. By choosing to switch things up with a D-shaped suction nozzle, it seems Pink Punch have taken away the thing that makes air pressure wave toys special: the suction. And without this, there is only mild stimulation to be felt, which just wasn’t enough for my suction-loving clitoris. Perhaps for someone who is new to suction, this would be suitable, but then for $160 AUD / $109 USD at the time of writing, you’re going to be spending a lot of money for an introductory toy, especially when there is the brilliant Satisfyer Pro 2 for half that (and if app-control is a must have, there’s the Satisfyer Pro 2 Gen 3). Overall, whilst I know it’s a little late in the game to be changing such a key element of the design, I really think if Pink Punch can change the shape of their nozzle, they’ll be in with a winner. But for now, I’ll have to be content with just admiring the Peachu from afar.

I loved so much about this toy, but sadly Pink Punch's choice to do things differently with the suction chamber didn't work out, ruining the air pressure stimulation.
