Review: SquarePegToys G squeeze

The first sex toy ever was estimated to have been made around 29000BC, so to say this industry has been around for a long time is a bit of an understatement. What this means though is that your pleasure is in good hands, because there are countless tried-and-true classics out there that are almost guaranteed to give you a good time. From wand massagers, to bullets, and the simple yet effective dildo, these sex toys have been refined over the years to the point where they don’t get much better. But on the flip side, this also means that new and innovative ideas are a rarity, despite almost every product on the market claiming that’s what they are. I’ve seen a few true instances of this during my time, including the now hugely popular suction toys, but I am always on the look out for more. So when I recently learned about the SquarePegToys G squeeze, a product that has been ten years in the making and really is the first design of its kind, I knew I had to get my hands on it, and thankfully Peepshow Toys were happy to help out.

The Brand

It’s my first time reviewing a product from SquarePegToys, and frankly it’s way overdue. An independent small business based the USA, they’re no strangers to innovation. In fact, they’ve actually been around since 1997, and since then they’ve played a massive part in shaping the industry into what it is today. They were the first to produce silicone toys targeted at fetish anal play, the first to create a line of urethral toys, the first to introduce SuperSoft silicone to the market, and the list goes on. As you might have guessed from some of those accomplishments though, they do specialise mostly in fetish products for the anus and penis, which is the reason why I’ve never tried any of their toys before now. Despite this, I have always found their range of unique designs and sizes very impressive, and have often direct people to them who are looking to take their anal play to the next level. So, you can imagine my excitement when I heard that they had released their first toy specifically for the vagina earlier this year.

So, What’s A Vaginal Plug?

Not only is the SquarePegToys G squeeze the first toy of its kind due to its unusual shape, but it is a vaginal plug, which is a category of dildo that’s totally new to me. Whether they have that classic butt plug shape or look more like a dildo that values width over length, the most important factor with these toys is that they provide a filling feeling. You see, rather than being used to thrust with like other vaginal toys, these products are designed to sit still, similar to a butt plug, and use their typically large girths to do all the work. They can be worn for extended periods of time, for instance while walking or sitting, as well as to enhance clitoral stimulation and orgasms by giving you something to clench around during. But while it’s something I’ve liked the idea of for awhile now, considering I have trouble fitting most regular dildos, a type of toy that’s popular because of its larger size did not sound like it was for me. So even when Peepshow Toys contacted me about reviewing the G squeeze, I was unsure, despite how much I wanted it. Having a proper look at the specs though (which Peepshow have done a great job listing in detail), I found something that I hadn’t seen before. While each of the G squeeze’s four sizes have maximum diameters as per usual, ranging from 4.3cm / 1.7″ to 6.4cm / 2.5″, they also have a diameter “when squeezed” listed, ranging from 3.8cm / 1.5″ to 5.3cm / 2.1″. This is due to their SuperSoft silicone, as well as the unique foldable shape that has been used, and it was this that gave me the confidence to request the smallest size. Being the great folks that they are, however, Peepshow also included the G squeeze in Medium, giving me a chance to really experience this exciting new toy properly.

Product Description

My two copies of the SquarePegToys G squeeze are easily made with the softest and most squishy silicone I’ve ever tried, so much so that having to stop playing with them long enough to actually type this review is a challenge! Available in four colours (Pink Sugar, Violet, Bronze and Graphite), my Small is in Violet (it looks quite blue in my photos unfortunately) whilst my Medium is in Pink Sugar, and even though pink and purple are the most overdone colours in this industry, the unique tones chosen for these feel wonderfully refreshing. Plus, their shimmery metallic appearance features ribbons and swirls from where the toy has been poured (this is most visible on the purple plug), making it far more beautiful than just a flat colour would have been, as well as highlighting the handmade feel. On that note, both toys feature handwriting along their base, with one side saying “2021 SquarePegToys” and the other saying “G Squeeze SM / MD”, with the letters denoting the size. In regards to their unique shape, SquarePegToys have put considerable thought into this design, referring to anatomical references and consulting with product testers to the point where every curve has purpose. The larger scoop shape is designed to reduce the toy’s girth when squeezed, before expanding back to its original size upon insertion, whilst the concave area on the other side keeps pressure off the cervix and round bulge provides G-Spot pressure. As for the base, this is fairly small so that it can rest comfortably between the labia, but it does also mean the toy isn’t designed for anal use. Finally, in regards to sizing, the Small has a maximum diameter of 4.3cm / 1.7″ and 3.8cm / 1.5″ when squeezed, alongside a 2.8cm / 1.1″ diameter neck and 13.2cm / 5.2″ total length, whilst the Medium has a maximum diameter of 5cm / 2″ and 4.3cm / 1.7″ when squeezed, alongside a 2.8cm / 1.1″ diameter neck and 13.9cm / 5.5″ total length.

Packaging

My order for the SquarePegToys G squeeze was placed with Peepshow Toys on the 28th of July and it arrived promptly on the 4th of August, which was very impressive considering the current postal delays and the fact that it was coming from the US. Plus, the package was fully discreet, with no mention of the sender or what was inside, and you can view a video of me unboxing it here. Opening it up, I then found the two products individually wrapped in SquarePegToys’ packaging alongside a thank you card from Peepshow. Since this is a small business, this isn’t the regular type of packaging you may be use to, but rather a simplified and reusable version to avoid any unnecessary waste or costs. As such, I just found some basic zip-lock bags, provided in two sizes for the two toys, with labels noting the products inside along with care instructions and information about the brand. Personally I love this as ziplock bags are what I use to store toys anyway, making these some of (or potentially the only) toys I’ve received that are completely waste-free. Plus, the labels are super informative, and while all this might not make them the most “giftable” products, I think for a brand aimed at experienced toy users, this is going to be exactly what their audience is after.

First Impressions

I’ll be honest, as much as I appreciated Peepshow Toys surprising me with an extra copy of the SquarePegToys G squeeze in Medium, there was a reason I didn’t request it myself. The widest toy I’ve ever successfully inserted (and after a lot of warming up) was the Uberrime Dr. Manhattan with its 4.7cm / 1.83″ girth, but the G squeeze Medium’s 5cm / 2″ diameter soars past that, and even its “squeezed” size of 4.3cm / 1.7″ feels like a step too much. Not to mention that my confidence is a little shaken after I wasn’t able to properly use the last dildo I reviewed, despite how careful I was with its measurements upon ordering. Plus, even the Small would be considered “large” according to the tag system I have in place to classify toys here, which counts for anything over 4.2cm / 1.65″ in diameter. But between the SuperSoft silicone and the scoop functioning as a way to reduce the girth, I certainly had hope, and knew that using the G squeeze in Small first would be the best way to get my body ready for the Medium. So I’m happy to report that not only was I able to insert the Small without issue, but the Medium too. Except wait… there’s more! On my second test, I decided to see if I could insert the Medium with no warming up. Surely this was a fool’s errand, considering any toy larger than 3.8cm / 1.5″ in diameter I need to spend considerable time preparing myself for, and this was the largest I’ve ever used. But it’s just part of my regular testing process, so I tried it…. and it just… went in?? Clearly SquarePegToys have imbued the G squeeze with some kind of sorcery, because WTF?!

My Experience

Once I knew I could actually insert the toys, I started getting very excited. Clenching rather than thrusting is something I’ve always wanted to experiment with, but since most of the toys I use are often either too small or too large to let sit, it’s not an experience I feel that I’ve had. However, while there is an initial sense of fullness with both toys, I found this goes away fairly quickly, and no pleasure or G-Spot stimulation seemed to occur regardless of what I did. Due to this I ended up leaving my first test a little underwhelmed, and unsure what I had done wrong. On my second test I decided to spend more time getting to know the toys though, and begun pairing them with the We-Vibe Touch X as a clitoral toy. Again, I didn’t think that they added much during play, but it was as I begun to approach orgasm that I started to feel a noticeable difference. Now my muscles were able to clench on their own, and having something there for them even though it wasn’t moving felt amazing, resulting in a much more intense orgasm than I would have had with the Touch X alone. Once this faded away into post-orgasm, however, I realised that this was where the G squeeze could really shine on its own. Due to my heighten sensitivity, clenching my muscles around it now gave off a completely different sensation to the one I had initially, producing an immensely satisfying feeling that is almost as if the orgasm had been prolonged. Since then I’ve continued to use the G squeeze like this, although sometimes paired with clit toys other than the Touch X, for instance I found the base is small enough for suction toys like the Womanizer Premium to work too. In fact, they’re even compatible with wand massagers like the Magic Wand Rechargeable, as while this is quite large you can either lift the base slightly so the head fits under or just place it directly on the G squeeze, which is not only enough to stimulate your clit, but also allows the vibrations to travel through the silicone as if it were a vibrator itself! As for a difference between the two sizes, I didn’t feel one that was noticeable enough to mention, but it was definitely hard to not crave more, and so because of this I did find the Medium to be my favourite. 

As for wearing the SquarePegToys G squeeze for daily wear, this is less my sort of thing, but I gave it a go anyway and was pleasantly surprised by the results. While I’ve tried a few panty vibes over the years designed to be worn inside the vagina whilst on the go, they are always a hit-or-miss as they can have trouble staying in. But I found that as long as I was wearing tight underwear (as otherwise the silicone drags on your legs and pulls itself out), the two G squeeze toys stay put and are actually quite easy to walk around in. As with when inserting them for play though, I don’t find they provide much of an initial sensation, however sitting down with them in improves this slightly, and so if I was going to wear it for extended play I think activities such as dinner or a movie would be ideal.

Cleaning & Care

Since the SquarePegToys G squeeze is smooth, silicone and waterproof, cleaning it is very easy. Simply wash it in some warm soapy water before rinsing and leaving to air dry. After this I’d recommend storing it in the zip-lock bag it came in to keep it clean between uses, as it does attract a fair amount of dust. In addition to this I’d also suggest sterilising the toy every few uses or when switching between partners, and you can do this by boiling it for 3-5 minutes.

Final Thoughts

While I didn’t know exactly what I was getting myself into, I had big hopes for the SquarePegToys G squeeze, and if anything my experience exceeded them. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to fit the Small, let alone the Medium (which is now my widest toy ever!), and it really is all thanks to the SuperSoft silicone paired with the ingenious scoop design. Being able to insert large toys (by my standards) vaginally has never been an easy task for me, and now having the ability to experience fullness without hours of warm ups means a greater deal than I can describe here. On that note, the potential for my particular brand of Lazy Masturbation that these toys offer is startling, as for the first time I can enjoy the heightened pleasure of using a dildo alongside a clitoral vibrator, without all the work of needing to thrust it. Not to mention the fact that all of this being achieved one-handed makes it far more accessible than ever before. Overall, I absolutely recommend the SquarePegToys G squeeze to anyone interested in vaginal plugs or who likes the idea of a dildo that’s easier to insert and use, and while I would still be cautious of the different sizes, I would recommend the “squeezed” size being the one that you take into account the most.
