During the burst of confidence my review of the Uberrime Ripley Alien gave me a few months back that saw me asking SheVibe to review the Uberrime Dr. Manhattan, I decided to also try my luck with another of the brand’s toys: the Spiro. Smaller than the Dr. Manhattan but larger than the Ripley Alien, the Spiro has a maximum diameter of 4.4cm / 1.75″, which is a size I am quite familiar with as it features on many of my favourite dildos, such as the Tantus Vamp Super Soft and Tantus Uncut #1. However, other than the beautiful colouring, this isn’t a toy I was drawn to initially as I found the shape of it super unusual, particularly the idea of having the most girthy part of the toy halfway down its shaft. But I wouldn’t be a very good reviewer if I didn’t try new things, and it turned out resisting its vibrant colours was harder than I thought!
Review: Uberrime Dr. Manhattan
Some time ago I read a review on the Uberrime Dr. Manhattan, a dildo based on one of my favourite characters from the Watchmen comic series, and decided I had to have one. But then I checked its measurements, and like many of the fantasy toys I spend my time lusting after (see also: the Uberrime Cthulhu and anything from Pleasure Forge), I determined it was probably too big for me. After reviewing the Uberrime Ripley Alien back in July however, it gave me a new outlook on what my limits were. That toy was made with a super soft silicone I’d never experienced before, and it meant I could take its large size a lot easier than expected. So once that review was done, I had another look at the Uberrime Dr. Manhattan, and found that it used the same silicone. Apparently that was enough for me to decide that it would be my next dildo for review, and so as SheVibe agreed to send the product out to me I crossed my fingers that I’d actually be able to use it!
Review: Uberrime Ripley Alien
For someone who is as geeky as me, I’m sure you’d imagine I have a full range of fantasy toys from all my favourite mythical creatures. Well, I do in my dreams… But in reality? Not so much. More than once on the blog I’ve announced that I was going to put more focus on reviewing fantasy dildos (including a few months ago in my Top 10 Toys of 2018 list), but this is always far easier said than done. Fantasy toys typically come in two categories: those made by Bad Dragon, a big company with an even bigger fan-base that often dominates the market, or those made by indie artisans. I’ve tried working with Bad Dragon before to little success, and indie makers often don’t have the funds to send out free review products (let alone ship them to Australia). But today, thanks to retailer SheVibe, I am finally writing my first ever fantasy toy review on the Uberrime Ripley Alien!
Review: KINK by Doc Johnson Drencher
The best thing about giveaways is it gives me the opportunity to connect with you, my readers, and find out exactly what sort of content you want to see here. One thing that often comes up a lot is for reviews of more kink-orientated sex toys, as these are generally products not covered by the mainstream reviewers. Now, I am definitely not the most kinky person out there, and if not for my affinity with sex toys then I’d go so far as to say that I am pretty vanilla. But, while I may not be as qualified to discuss these items as a true kinkster, I don’t see why I can’t still review them from my own perspective. After all, you folks clearly want to hear about them and there is definitely a gap in the market for these sorts of reviews! Who knows, perhaps I’ll awaken a hidden fetish I never knew I had? To go about this I’ve acquired a few items from the recent collaboration by Doc Johnson and Kink.com, and today I’ll be starting by reviewing their Drencher.
Review: Tantus Vamp Super Soft
For avid readers of my blog, you might recall the Tantus Vamp from my earlier review of it back in March last year. That review is one of my favourites, because I always felt like it was a turning point both for my blog and for my body. When I first purchased the Vamp I had no idea about any limitations I may have in my ability to enjoy sex toys. I was just starting out as a blogger, and I happily added the Vamp to my shopping cart during a sale of Tantus’s grab bags. Little did I know, that it would actually be too large in girth for my vagina to comfortably accommodate. I tried many times to be able to use it, as I had heard such great feedback from my fellow bloggers, until eventually I admitted defeat, and decided large toys just weren’t for me. I have come to accept that now, and it is one of the traits that makes my blog a little bit different from others. But I always wished I could enjoy the Tantus Vamp like so many others had. So, you only can imagine my excitement when I heard Tantus were releasing a new version of the Vamp, in their Super Soft silicone formula. It was a dream come true, and I quickly set my heart upon owning one. Thankfully, Peepshow Toys were kind enough to send one my way for review.
Review: Tantus Uncut #1
This is my first review of 2017 and this year I’ve got a lot of big goals for the blog. One of them is trying to diversify my posts and review products. Different types of toys, writing more about my opinions on certain topics rather than just reviews, and so forth. So, on that note, even though it’s a little bit of a stretch, I thought that this sex toy would be the perfect way to kick off the year. The Tantus Uncut #1 represents a step forward in dildo diversity. If you hadn’t noticed, this particular dildo is uncircumcised and features a foreskin. I’ve read a lot of reviews on this toy before deciding to get one, and bloggers often talk about how they have never had a uncircumcised partner before, but that is because the majority of them are from the US where around 80% of penises are circumcised. I, on the other hand, live in Australia where only around 30% of penises are circumcised, so as you can imagine all my partners have been ‘uncut’. This also explains why you’ve likely never seen a uncircumcised dildo or penis in the media before, because the majority of our porn and sex toys come from the US! I was so happy to see the penises that I know and love represented when Tantus announced the Uncut, and since have been so glad to see many other sex toy companies continue this awesome trend.
