Prices are going up, and as the cost of living crisis continues, standard groceries, household bills and luxuries like beauty goods are costing more than ever. Perhaps it’s not the same in every corner of the globe (I hope), but in Australia it is exhausting. Thankfully, however, this has not seemed to affect sex toys. In fact, they are becoming increasingly affordable, with dildos being made out of body-safe silicone no longer coming at a premium and even the relatively new air pressure wave trend setting you back only $60 AUD / $40 USD if you go with the bestselling Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation. Really the only product this price-drop has not seemed to affect is the wand massager, which is a real shame, because it’s also the one style of toy that I believe everyone should own a copy of. Sure, there’s been improvements, for instance my beloved Magic Wand Rechargeable, which was previously only available for $195 AUD / $130 USD, now has the cheaper Magic Wand Mini for $80 AUD / $55 USD less. But even this can be a lot to pay. So, over the past few months I’ve been on a hunt for budget wands to recommend, and the Funzze Massager is the cheapest I’ve come across so far.
Review: Bestvibe Licking Stimulator
The two biggest trends in sex toys right now is sucking and licking, as the industry continues to move away from penetrative toys to instead focus more on clitoral pleasure, much to my delight. So I suppose the challenge for manufacturers out there today is simply deciding which one to use, since only a suction pump-style toy, like the Honey Play Box Scioness, seems to have succeeded in doing both at once. But then, of course, there’s nothing this industry loves more than multi-use toys, and so today we’re looking at a product where the brand has decided to well and truly throw out the rulebook and say “what’s stopping me from making both?”. That’s right, it’s the Bestvibe Licking Stimulator.
Review: Womanizer OG
I’ve now reviewed products from over one hundred different sex toy brands, but when I’m asked my favourite it’s always an easy answer: WOW Tech. The company overseeing both the German-based Womanizer and Canadian We-Vibe, among other things (and coincidentally now part of the UK’s Lovehoney Group, who have long been my favourite retailer), they’ve been leading the industry ever since I joined it and produce some of my absolute favourite toys. Whilst We-Vibe, makers of the legendary Tango X and Nova 2, have a broad catalogue to cover a wide range of electronics, Womanizer instead specialises on just one kind: air pressure. And since that also happens to be my favourite type of sex toy, it goes without saying that Womanizer holds a special place in my heart, and finishing up reviewing their entire range was a highlight of last year. Of course, even with this, I was still over the moon when they announced an entirely new model a few months ago, but with a design as eccentric as its name, I can’t say I wasn’t a little concerned.
Review: Honey Play Box Scioness
If you’ve spent much time in sex toy land over the last few years, you’ve no doubt heard of the Fantasy For Her. This unique product that melded licking, sucking, and vibrating into one for the first time went viral, and has remained one of the best-selling toys on the market ever since. Despite my obvious interest, however, I have declined any request to review it, due to it being manufactured by one of the most unethical brands in the industry, Pipedream. If you aren’t aware of their racist, fatphobic, transphobic, and just generally shitty nature, I’d recommend checking out Miss Ruby Review’s post on it, but the point is: I do not review their products, no matter how popular. Yet when I saw that my blog sponsor, Honey Play Box, had released their own version of what the Fantasy For Her offered, I knew my chance to see what all the fuss was about had finally come.
Review: Pink Punch Peachu
My blog has always been closely linked to suction toys. The obvious reason is because they are my favourite type of sex toy, and I love to review them and encourage others to experience their life changing orgasms. But the other, lesser known, reason is that I started my blog the same year they were first released, and I feel like we’ve grown up together in a way. Far from their origins as a tacky animal-print design with an awful name (alright, the name still exists), there are now hundreds of air pressure wave toys out there, and almost ten years later brands are still finding ways to innovate upon them. That takes us to today’s review, which features the new Pink Punch Peachu’s take on suction with a twist: an alternative D-shaped nozzle!
Review: Bestvibe Flirting Magic Wand
It’s been five months now since I moved, and yet I’ve only just finished unpacking all of my sex toys. Rather than having a bedside table filled with all the wonderful perks of my job like usual during this time, I instead had to choose just one toy to get me by. My selection, of course, had to be my beloved Magic Wand Rechargeable, which remains my favourite toy despite also being one of the oldest offerings in my collection. Spending all of this quality time with a wand massager really reminded me just how much I love them, and even though they may not be the trendiest toy right now, they are still unbeatable in terms of versatility and power. So, when Bestvibe approached me about reviewing some toys from their store recently, I told them there had to be a wand massager, and they directed me to their Flirting Magic Wand.
