I’ve been writing about sex toys for over eight years now, yet I’ve surprisingly only reviewed six thrusters, with two of those being this year. I suppose two isn’t really enough to declare that 2023 is the “year of the thruster”, but because I don’t try them very often, it feels like it is to me. Plus, I have a lot more on the way, starting with today’s review on the Lovense Gravity. An accordian-style thruster (of which I have two others, whilst the rest are split between magnetic-style and stretch-style), Lovense have added their usual high-tech touch to the product, making this innovative toy quite unlike any of the other handheld sex machines I’ve tried. Offering vibrations alongside the thrusting, it is also compatible with the Chinese brand’s comprehensive range of apps for greater control over both bluetooth and wifi. Making this not only an exciting thruster for solo use, but the perfect option for those in long-distance relationships or online sex work.

Review: YoYoLemon Mini Wand

YoYoLemon Mini Wand

Wand massagers are my second favourite type of sex toy (for a long time they were my first, until my love for suction toys finally won out), although until recently I hadn’t really reviewed that many. Over the last few weeks, however, I’ve shared my thoughts on a huge range of shapes and sizes, and all at a lower price point than I usually review. Last week’s post seemed to be a culmination of this, with it not only being my longest massager ever, but my cheapest, and it was pretty dang good too. But I’m not done yet, because this week I’m turning around and going in the opposite direction, with the smallest massager I’ve reviewed so far. In fact, the YoYoLemon Mini Wand is so small, I’m not even sure calling it a wand is appropriate. Thankfully size is the only big difference between this toy and the Funzze Massager, though, as at just $60 AUD / $40 USD it is still very reasonably priced.

The two biggest trends in sex toys right now is sucking and licking, as the industry continues to move away from penetrative toys to instead focus more on clitoral pleasure, much to my delight. So I suppose the challenge for manufacturers out there today is simply deciding which one to use, since only a suction pump-style toy, like the Honey Play Box Scioness, seems to have succeeded in doing both at once. But then, of course, there’s nothing this industry loves more than multi-use toys, and so today we’re looking at a product where the brand has decided to well and truly throw out the rulebook and say “what’s stopping me from making both?”. My blog has always been closely linked to suction toys. The obvious reason is because they are my favourite type of sex toy, and I love to review them and encourage others to experience their life changing orgasms. But the other, lesser known, reason is that I started my blog the same year they were first released, and I feel like we’ve grown up together in a way. It’s been five months now since I moved, and yet I’ve only just finished unpacking all of my sex toys. Rather than having a bedside table filled with all the wonderful perks of my job like usual during this time, I instead had to choose just one toy to get me by. I’m a big fan of Dildo Nightmares, and whenever I see a toy that fits the brief, I can’t help but share it to my socials. In this regard, the AcmeJoy Ferrill Thruster has become a regular, with its realistic dual-stimulator style growth that looks straight out of an eldritch abomination. It never fails to freak people out and get some laughs, something I’m always more than happy to provide. So, when AcmeJoy recently reached out and asked if I would like to review something from their store, it was the first thing that came to my mind. Then, perhaps against my better judgement, I requested it, and now here we are. I do wonder, as the thing sits across from me, am I now cursed for daring to put something so depraved inside of myself? Mostly likely, but alas, let us continue with the review.
