Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3

It’s been almost ten years now since the Satisfyer Pro 2 was first released, and yet it still takes out the top spot on every retailer’s bestsellers list year after year. But while it’s always been an exceptional product and the first-of-its-kind, introducing suction stimulation to the world, this is also largely because rather than just leaving it be, Satisfyer have continued to tinker away and update the Pro 2 throughout the years to ensure it continues to meet the industry’s ever-changing standards. Its first major update, dubbed the Next Generation, launched in 2017 and has remained my recommended introductory toy to air pressure waves ever since. However, with suction being its only offering, the need for a third generation has been steadily growing each year, and I practically jumped out of my seat when it was finally announced this January.

Product Description

The Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 takes the classic Pro 2 design that we all know and love, and simply updates its list of features for 2023. What does this mean? Well, in addition to its usual 11 suction intensities, there are also now 12 vibration settings that may be used alongside or independently of the suction, similar to how Satisfyer’s other suction vibrators work. Plus, Satisfyer have also developed a brand new mode specially for the Generation 3 called “Liquid Air Technology”. Designed to feel like pulsing water, this feature comes with its own unique silicone attachment, which has a closed, rather than open, nozzle (the standard open nozzle is also still included, however). Finally, the last change is the most obvious, and that is that Satisfyer have finally decided to move away from the Pro 2’s iconic rose gold plastic body, and switch to a 100% matte silicone toy that is available in three colours, wine red with the classic white nozzle (which is what I have), full black or full lilac. As for why I have two of them, that is because, as always, Satisfyer like to make things confusing by releasing products in pairs, and so for a price difference of only $10 USD, one of these products can also be used with Satisfyer’s Connect App, whilst the other cannot. Peepshow Toys were kind enough to send me both for review, and I will be noting any differences, but for the most part they are the same asides from the app, which I’ll cover in its own section. As with past Satisfyer Pro 2s, the Generation 3 is then both USB rechargeable and fully waterproof, and features three buttons on its back, a magnetic charging port on its base, and the same decals (Satisfyer logo on both sides, line work around the buttons, etc.) as the Next Generation.

Packaging

Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 Packaging

My order for the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 was placed with Peepshow Toys on the 24th of February and I received it on the 6th of March. The package was then 100% discreet, with no mention of what was inside or who sent it. The box for the toy itself was then what I have come to expect from the German brand, as it is pretty much identical in design to my Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation’s and the rest of their current packaging, just with updated branding and colours to represent this new iteration. A high-quality card box featuring images of the toy and information on what it can do, the front of this can then be opened up to reveal the product behind plastic and a prominent advertisement for the Satisfyer Connect App (and yes, this is featured on both boxes, which I’m sure would be confusing for those who purchase the non-app compatible version). You can then access the toy by first removing Satisfyer’s hygienic safety strip, and with it comes two nozzle attachments and a charging cord, alongside quick-start, safety, and warranty information booklets (which is for an impressive 15 years!). As for the difference between the two versions, there are mostly just a few minor wording changes, with the most noticeable variation being a large sticker on the front of the Generation 3 Connect promoting the app. Overall, I am very happy with all of this, as it always feels so luxurious despite Satisfyer’s products being fairly mid-range.

Charging

Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 Charging
Having the Satisfyer logo appear directly on the charging cord makes it easy to identify.

Like Satisfyer’s previous Pro 2 models, the Generation 3 is once again USB rechargeable, and uses strong magnets to connect to its branded cord. However, whilst this newer version is still an improvement from the original Pro 2, you will need to wait a fair bit longer than with the Next Generation, with the Generation 3 taking three hours to give an estimated 60 minutes of playtime and the Generation 3 Connect taking four hours to provide the same. When charging the toy’s LED light will then flash, and this will become solid once complete.

Controls

Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 and Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation
Same same, but different, with the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation.

Even though the Generation 3 has the exact same three-button layout as the Pro 2 Next Generation, changes have actually been made here to accommodate the inclusion of vibrations. With this in mind, the smaller button is now solely for controlling the vibration modes, whilst the longer button doubles as a power button in addition to increasing or decreasing the suction levels (although users of the Next Generation will also need to keep in mind that the plus and minus buttons have switched sides!). To turn the pressure waves on, first hold down the power button on the longer control pad for two seconds, which will activate the toy’s lowest suction setting. You can then use the dual sides of this pad to adjust the stimulation across its 11 intensities, and when done simply hold down the power again for two more seconds (as this is the same button as the increase intensity control, however, you will need to be careful to not turn it off by accident when trying to raise the suction level). The vibrations can then be controlled entirely independently which is great, allowing you to use them with or without the suction, and this can be turned on and off by holding the button down for two seconds, with its 12 modes consisting of five steady speeds and seven patterns. Finally, for the Generation 3 that is compatible with Satisfyer’s app, you’ll need to hold down the vibration power button for four seconds in order to pair the two.

I first reviewed the Satisfyer Connect App when it was released in 2020 with my review of their Curvy 1+ and 2+, and have since revisited it in my review of the Dual Pleasure and Dual Love, so for a complete analysis, I’d recommend first checking out those posts. Not much has changed with the Connect App since, with the overall layout and design being almost identical. In fact, the only real update is a new mode named REMOTYCA Stories, which is a mash-up of the words remote and erotica and a collaboration with BERLINABLE, a producer of audio erotica. Similar to Vibease’s audio erotica-focused sex toy app, this gives you access to a library of spoken stories that your toy will respond to, and these are available in a range of languages, with new audio becoming available each month. In addition, there is also now a wider range of pre-programmed vibrations to try, alongside an “O-Booster” mode where you can click the icon of a rabbit when in either Program Play, Live Control or Ambient Sound to immediately place the toy on its highest vibratxion speed for at least 20 seconds. Finally, the biggest problem with the app has now been removed, as the strange “Alarms” screen that I never got to work has been replaced with a link to donate to Ukraine, and the only glitches I found were minor and in the chat function. Overall, the Satisfyer Connect App has always been one of my favourites, and these changes only seek to make it even more advanced and comprehensive, which is great to see.

First Impressions

When I read Satisfyer’s press release about the Pro 2 Generation 3 back in January, I was obsessed with the idea of their “Liquid Air Technology”. How it worked wasn’t really described and there were next to no images of the product, so I had to wait until it arrived to really find out what that meant. So to finally hold it in my hands and realise that all this new “technology” was, is in fact the act of putting a thin piece of silicone over the mouth of the nozzle? It was almost hilariously bad, and I can only hope it feels better than it looks. As for the rest of the toy, the suction stimulation seems on par with the Pro 2 Next Generation, which I had assumed since I’ve seen no advertising to suggest that the Generation 3 is stronger, although I do think perhaps that it is ever so slightly louder. This is then made worse once the vibrations are activated, which are quite loud and a higher pitch than the suction’s noise too, making them more obvious. On this note, the vibrations aren’t great, being fairly buzzy, but the strangest thing about them is that I’m not sure where they are. I can hear them, and I can feel the residual vibrations that tell me there’s a motor going off somewhere inside of the toy, but there is no area on the product where they can really be felt. Finally, as for the additional covered nozzle, this has quite an interesting effect in regards to the Generation 3’s noise levels, as the suction sounds significantly louder with it applied. Thankfully, this is reduced once the mouth is placed against something, but it still isn’t really the sort of function you can use discreetly.

My Experience

Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3
There are only two minor visual differences between the two versions. This reflective marking on the Connect, and deeper logo engravings on the Non-Connect.

As I anticipated, the suction on the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 feels the same as on the Next Generation, so for detailed notes and comparisons between other suction products, I’d recommend checking out that review. That’s not to say it’s bad though, as I simply adore this level of suction, and I frequently find myself having some incredibly strong, fast and satisfying orgasms with the Generation 3. If I was going to say just one thing, however, it would be that the Generation 3’s suction does seem a little more spluttery and inconsistent than on my copy of the Next Generation, which is a frequent occurrence with suction toys and not something that really makes a big impact to my use. As for using the vibrations, these are so subtle due to the issues that I mentioned before, that whilst they add a hint of stimulation to the suction, it isn’t enough to really make an impact, nor can it shine on its own (although if you did want to try, I’d say behind the head is the best location for it, rather than the nozzle where they can barely be felt). Finally, we have to talk about the “Liquid Air Technology” and its closed nozzle. I still had hope for this despite appearances, but it really is exactly as it looks. That rather than getting to enjoy everything that makes suction great, you’re instead placing a barrier over your clitoris to prevent full stimulation. I mean, imagine if something took your favourite vibrator, and then put a thick blanket between you and it and told you it was a “special experience”. Whilst I do kind of see what they were going for when they spoke about it feeling like gushing water, as it has hints of this sensation, the overall feeling I get is one of being teased and wanting more, and I have found myself unable to really enjoy or orgasm from this mode, and the one time I did it was incredibly unsatisfying.

Cleaning & Care

Cleaning the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 is very easy as it is waterproof. Plus, if the head is the only thing that got dirty, you can simply remove it and just clean this element. Simply wash the toy and / or the nozzle in some warm soapy water, rinse, dry, and then reassemble and store however you wish. Since the toy is made of silicone though, do make sure to not use silicone-based lubricants with it, as these may damage the material.

Final Thoughts

Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 with both nozzles

So, the iconic Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation has finally been updated, and there are two questions on everyone’s lips: should I get one, or, if I already have one, should I upgrade? Well, in my opinion, the Pro 2 Generation 3’s biggest selling point compared to its predecessor is its compatibility with the Satisfyer Connect App, which funnily enough only one of the versions comes with. Whilst I don’t make use of sex toy apps personally, I obviously see their appeal, and for anyone in a long distance relationship or who enjoys handing over control of their toys, this is a real winner. But if, like me, you don’t use apps, then you’re probably best off sticking with the Pro 2 Next Generation, at least until the price difference between the two lessens or it gets discontinued (at the time of writing, the Next Generation is $100 AUD / $70 USD whilst the Generation 3 is $130 AUD / $90 USD). This is due to the completely underwhelming vibrations and additional “Air Technology” nozzle, which aren’t worth the extra dollars in my opinion, especially considering you’re also giving up battery life for them. Although I will note that whilst the closed nozzle was not for me, and I doubt it would be for many experienced suction users, it does have a place for beginners or those that have a sensitive clitoris, as it essentially provides a protective layer in which you may grow slowly accustom to the sensation. Overall though, whilst the Pro 2’s most important feature, its suction, is thankfully still a hit in the Generation 3, unfortunately Satisfyer’s attempt to add new modes to this classic just missed the mark.

  1. Omg thank you for posting a how-to. I LOVE my prosat. 2 (or whatever the numbers are) and I had no problem getting that to work – meaning getting the vibes up and how I wanted them to. But this one really confused me. I’m not one to take directions seriously so I thought an internet search might do me some good. Anyway, TY! Off to enjoy myself in the shower <3
