Sohimi Suction Vibrator

Rabbits have always been one of the most popular types of vibrators. But with the rise of suction toys over the last five years, and the discovery that they too can be incorporated into this beloved dual-stimulator, things have gotten much more interesting. Toys like the Satisfyer G-Spot Rabbit and the Womanizer DUO have certainly led the way, to the point where there are now more suction rabbits than WOW Tech can file lawsuits for, but the biggest issue surrounding these toys as of yet is their high prices. After all, as much as I adore the absolute perfection that is the DUO, I do not expect that many people are willing to fork out $330 for the damn thing. So when Sohimi recently approached me and suggested I review their version, which is priced at just $38 (for those keeping track at home, that’s THREE HUNDRED LESS than the DUO), I was understandably apprehensive of how good it could be, but more than eager to find out!

The Brand

Sohimi are a sex toy retailer based in China and the US, who have been selling adult products for over ten years. Being a white-label seller, they mostly stock the same toys you’ll see at stores such as Bestvibe, Adorime, and Paloqueth, just with their own packaging and branding. So when shopping here you probably won’t be getting something unique or that Sohimi actually designed themselves, like it may appear on their website, but due to this the prices will also be lower, which is one of the reasons why the toy I’m reviewing today costs so little. On that note, in regards to their stock they offer an immense range, from dildos and vibrators, to masturbators, penis and anal toys, and while most of their toys are body-safe, not all are, so do be cautious when browsing their store. In addition to their worldwide shipping, Sohimi offer it for free on all orders over $69 USD (except for those containing sex dolls or when shipping to Canada for some reason). Plus, they have a great returns policy, allowing customers to return items at any time if they are not 100% satisfied.

Product Description

Sohimi Suction Vibrator Flicking Stimulator

The Sohimi Suction Vibrator, or the Clitoral Sucking Vibrator as their website calls it, is a suction dual-stimulator with a twist, and I’m not just talking about its ridiculously low price tag. In addition to the G-Spot vibrations in the internal arm, and the clitoral suction on the external arm, there are two other elements included to enhance pleasure. First up is a tongue-like flap within the suction nozzle itself, which moves back and forth similar to a flicking stimulator, such as the ZALO HERO or Vibease Ruby, in order to further increase sensations to the clitoris. Then there is the most interesting feature of all, which is a small plate underneath the silicone in the middle of the toy’s shaft that can pulsate up and down. For this I don’t really have a comparison, as despite it seeming like an obvious way to provide pleasure I don’t believe I’ve tested a toy like it previously, although if I had to suggest something then I would say it reminds me of the Hot Octopuss Queen Bee’s PulsePlate, or the dual beads of the Lora DiCarlo Filare, just without the spinning. In regards to the toy’s shape it then features a slight curve, but significantly less than the Womanizer DUO, which is the toy I own that resembles the Suction Vibrator closest, and rather than being smooth it features a bump in the centre and some additional movement lines. Emerald green silicone covers it entirely (although photos do not do this justice), and it also comes in purple and pink, whilst a strip of metallic ABS plastic separates the suction nozzle from the rest of the toy (however despite this the nozzle is not removable as many are for easy cleaning). While the internal arm is then firm, there is a hollow area close to the suction element that allows it to be flexed completely, and on the back of the toy are its three buttons, as well as the magnetic plates for the USB charger and the CE markings. Finally, this toy is waterproof, and while it is anal-safe it is not intended for this kind of use.

Packaging

Sohimi Suction Vibrator Packaging

My order with Sohimi for their Suction Vibrator was made on the 15th of January and I received it on the 28th. It was fully discreet, with no mention of the contents or sender, and for my full unboxing you can find it here. The actual box for the toy was then very basic, which is something I have come to expect from white-label sellers, as it was not personalised for the toy in any way. Featuring nothing but the Sohimi logo and an address in Germany (interestingly the same one that was featured prominently on the box of my Bestvibe 3 Motors Rabbit Vibrator), the Suction Vibrator’s packaging is otherwise completely white, which at least keeps it discreet, since the only way to identify what’s inside other than opening it would be to Google the brand name. The top of the box can then be lifted off, and inside you’ll find the toy, a brief instruction manual in limited English and German, and a charging cord all resting safely in foam. Plus, the Suction Vibrator also comes with a 6 month warranty.

Charging

Sohimi Suction Vibrator Charging

Charging the Sohimi Suction Vibrator is easy as it is USB rechargeable. Simply plug one end into a USB port and then connect the other end with the magnetic plates on the toy. This can be a little tricky however, as the magnets aren’t the strongest, so do be careful when setting it down to ensure the cord doesn’t fall off. When charging the buttons on the toy will flash, and once this is complete the lights will remain solid. Charging should then take 2 hours, and this will give you around 45 minutes to one hour of play time, which honestly isn’t a lot in my experience (it does say different values on the website, but these are from the instructions which I have more faith in).

Controls

Despite the Sohimi Suction Vibrator having three buttons and poorly translated instructions, controlling it is pretty easy to pick up once you know that each button controls one of the toy’s three motors. Plus, the symbols on the buttons actually do a good job of indicating which motor they control for once, with the suction button featuring a picture of lips, the pulsating button featuring a line with a bump in the middle, and the vibration button featuring a wavy line. To turn the toy on you can press down any of the buttons for 1.5 seconds, regardless of what motor you want to use, with success being indicated by it vibrating once quickly. You can then press the buttons to cycle through their respective motor’s modes, for which the suction and pulsation have five steady speeds, and the vibrations have ten (three of which are steady and seven of which are patterns). Motors can run at the same time or individually, and to turn them off again you’ll need to hold each button down for 1.5 seconds, meaning if you have all three running then you’ll need to turn each off separately. Overall I am happy with all of this and think it works really well, with perhaps the only downside being that it does take a little while to turn off if you have more than one motor on at once. Plus, the lights also go a little bit too wild for my tastes, as each button has its own LED that reflects the vibration mode it’s currently on.

First Impressions

This is my first time working with Sohimi, so I didn’t really know what to expect with the toy’s vibrations or how powerful they’d be. Plus, it is also surprisingly my first ever suction toy that is not from a big brand like Satisfyer or Womanizer, so in that regard I was even more clueless. And don’t even get me started on the pulsation plate, which I barely know what to call, let alone how strong it should be. Turning on the vibrations I must say I was disappointed, as they are fairly weak and very buzzy, but thankfully I have a low-standard when it comes to internal vibrations. As for the suction this then felt super strong, giving my thumb that feeling of pressure that only the best suction toys do. The pulsator also felt powerful, although I was unsure what part of my body it was actually supposed to stimulate considering its positioning. Finally  there is the Suction Vibrator’s noise level, which is fairly loud, especially when all three motors are running. But once the suction nozzle is sealed and the internal arm is inside you, this is reduced greatly, and so I think it would be fine to use even when you need to be discreet.

My Experience

I have to admit I did not have high hopes for the Sohimi Suction Vibrator based on my first impressions of it. Without a curved internal arm I knew the chances of it stimulating my G-Spot were incredibly low. I didn’t like the look of the flap inside the suction nozzle, as I feared it may physically hurt to use due to the already intense stimulation this sort of play provides. And as for the pulsator… well I had no idea what its purpose was. But I’m pleased to admit that this toy has proven me wrong. Yes, the internal arm does not reach my G-Spot, and its flexibility means that I cannot get to it even if I angle the toy, and yes, I still have no idea about the pulsator. It’s basically positioned right at my entrance, so depending on how I am laying it can either be completely outside of me, where I cannot feel it, or (most commonly) just inside enough so that it is hitting my pubic bone. This is presumably uncomfortable and sometimes even painful, and now I just opt to not turn it on at all. So really it is the suction element of this toy that has allowed it to shine. The flap doesn’t hurt like I thought it would, and instead can’t really be felt at all, except for a general thudding sensation it gives off which reminds me of the stimulation in recent Womanizer models, such as the Premium and DUO. As for the suction itself, it definitely isn’t the strongest I’ve ever felt, but it is still easily enough to bring me to orgasm. Plus, one of my favourite things is that it forms a pretty tight seal around my clit, and this combined with the fact that it needs to be inserted makes it ideal for hands-free play. Then, with the suction and internal vibrations together, it really is the perfect recipe for some incredibly strong and satisfying orgasms, and the only real issue is being able to stop myself at just one.

Cleaning & Care

Here you can see the faint outline of the pulsation plate.

Cleaning the Sohimi Suction Vibrator is easy since it is made from silicone and is waterproof. Just throw it in some warm soapy water when you’re done, and then give it a wash, rinse, and dry. Additionally you may want to take extra care around the plastic that separates the nozzle, since fluids may build up here. You can then store it in a zip-lock bag to keep it clean, or the box it came with. Make sure to not use silicone-based lubricant with this product, as it may react badly to the silicone it is made of, but if you do then first perform a spot test.

Final Thoughts

I love surprises, so maybe it may make me seem less knowledge when it comes to sex toys, but personally I love getting to admit I was wrong about a product. Considering my immense love for the Womanizer DUO, it was hard to consider that a toy $300 less than it could even come close to comparing. Then pair that with the lack of curve in the arm, strangely placed pulsator-thingy, and tongue-flap… and yeah, I wasn’t feeling it. But while some of these elements did turn out to be an issue, the most important aspect was present: it felt freaking amazing! The suction combined with the thuddiness of the flap is perfect, and this is then only added to by the internal vibrations. Plus, it’s easily one of the best hands-free products I’ve tried, which makes it ideal for my typical brand of lazy masturbating. Then, while it is obviously still a far cry from the pleasure I get from the Womanizer DUO, it doesn’t feel like a $300 difference. Overall I am pleased to be able to wholeheartedly recommend the Sohimi Suction Vibrator to anyone looking to try suction, dual stimulation, or if you just want a new vibrator. In fact, I would 100% recommend this over the DUO if this is your first toy of its kind or if you understandably can’t afford such a luxury, as it’s the perfect way to introduce yourself to this sort of stimulation and enjoy it for a low cost.

  1. Great review! We’ve recently come across this company and were also surprised and sceptical about the low price tag. Great to hear that the product you tried was good quality and also body-safe.
