Forecasting and predicting trends is a big part of being a sex toy reviewer. I’m always looking out for what is, or what I believe is going to be, the most popular thing, so that my posts stay relevant and can be helpful to as many people as possible. There are always going to be the classic toys, such as rabbits and bullet vibrators, that stay strong all year round. But then there are also new innovations, such as the game-changing suction technology pioneered by Satisfyer and Womanizer over the last few years, or the more recent tongue imitators (for lack of a better term) that brands such as Zumio, ZALO and Svakom are experimenting with. Finally, there are the types of toys that are always kinda around, but that have major resurgences every now and then, and that is the type of trend I’ll be touching on today. As of late I have noticed the revival of panty vibes, which are a type of clitoral vibrator designed to sit in your underwear (either by being attached somehow or by being partially inserted inside you) and then be controlled via remote, primarily to add a touch of naughtiness to date nights. So, over the next month I’ll be taking a look at three different styles of the infamous panty vibe, starting today with the Bestvibe Remote Wearable Vibrator, and later continuing with the We-Vibe Moxie and Lovehoney Desire Knicker Vibrator.
Review: Tantus Magma
The first dildo I ever reviewed was the Tantus Splish, and until like most products that I reviewed when I first started, this toy has really stood the test of time and is still one of my favourites. With a diameter of only 2.5cm / 1″ and a length of 11.4cm / 4.5″, it is far too small to be used as a regular dildo though, and instead has found a place in my home for anal play and as my partner’s alternative to fingering. I loved the drip-like design and noted in my review “Its texture is simply marvellous [for anal], and I know I just need to get my hands on a Splash now so my vagina can have a similar experience”. The Splash was the Splish’s larger cousin and I was eager to get one, until Tantus discontinued them both. Those were some sad days in sex toy land… until recently when I noticed Tantus had announced two new products. They have a different name and a new colour palette, but sure enough the Magma and Mini Magma are the reincarnations of the Splish and Splash.
Review: Blush Novelties Neo Elite 7.5 Inch
It’s hard to believe, but we’re already halfway through the year! It’s been a pretty good one so far here at Princess Previews, but for anyone who read my Top 10 Toys of 2018 post you might have noticed that something has been missing… dildos! That’s right, in that post I declared that 2019 would be the year of dildos, since I had been sorely lacking reviews of my favourite type of toy on the blog last year (I only did one!). Well, it might have taken a little while, but here I am finally with my first dildo review of the year (that is, unless you count the Kink by Doc Johnson Drencher, but I don’t since I couldn’t actually fit it inside of me). It doesn’t stop here either, as SheVibe have been kind enough to send me three of the best looking dildos on the market right now. Coming up soon is the Tantus Magma and Uberrime Ripley Alien, but today I am starting with the Blush Novelties Neo Elite 7.5 Inch.
Review: Paloqueth Dolphin Vibrator
The first sex toy I ever took notice of was the original We-Vibe couples vibrator, which has now been followed up by toys like the We-Vibe Chorus. Even though this was back when I was in high school, I remember it being a big deal and watching the toy break through into the mainstream (or as mainstream as a sex toy can be). I enthusiastically told all my friends how much I loved the idea of it, and tried very hard to win one when I attended my first ever sex convention that year. Despite then going on to work in the sex industry and review toys professionally, I still never got the opportunity to review that infamous style of toy that started it all for me. It certainly hasn’t been without me trying though, as numerous times I’ve had offers to review a couples vibe only for it to fall through. But here I am, finally, after all these years, with my first ever couples vibrator. It may not be a We-Vibe, but I was ridiculously excited to try out the Paloqueth Dolphin anyway.
Review: Paloqueth Rabbit Vibrator
It takes a lot to impress me. At this point I’ve been doing this for just under 4 years, and with almost 100 reviews under my belt (and many more sex toys under my bed), I find it harder and harder to be wow’d by a toy. But last year one really stood out for me, and it was a simple $20 rabbit vibrator. I’m talking about the Paloqueth G-Spot Vibrator, or the Paloqueth Mermaid as they’ve now renamed it. This toy came in at Number 3 on my Top 10 Sex Toys of 2018 list, and ranking it so high was not an easy decision. Could a simple and generic $20 vibe really make it that far on my list? Could a company with no stockists, that only sell their toys on Amazon to the US and Germany really be included? What’s more, myself and a few other bloggers experienced harassment by one of the staff members in November last year. I felt by including Paloqueth’s product on my list it would make it lose credibility, but at the end of the day my mission here at the blog is to give you folks my honest opinions: and honestly, my G-Spot adored this toy. Since then I’m happy to report that the company has reached out and apologised for the issues I had with one of their staff, and have offered to send me some new toys for review. If it was any other company I think I would have said no, but since this was the maker of a toy I enjoyed so throughly, I couldn’t help but accept.
Review: Nephrite Jade Yoni Egg
Two things I am hoping to try more of this year are toys made of stone or crystal, and kegel toys. So when I was recently browsing Mojoco’s website to choose toys to review for them, you can imagine my excitement when I saw they sell yoni eggs. Yoni eggs, for those of you who are unfamiliar with them, are essentially the two things I was after combined: a stone egg designed to strengthen your kegel muscles. While I have tried other types of kegel toys previously, I’ve always been a little hesitant to request a yoni egg for review, since unlike the rest they do not come with an attached string for easy removal, and the idea of struggling to retrieve it from my vagina has always freaked me out. But I decided it was about time to face that fear, and was excited when Mojoco decided to send me their Certified Nephrite Jade Egg.
