Another year has come and gone, and while I know we all have a lot to say about 2021, at least we got some damn good sex toys out of it! From new trends to remakes of classics, not much can stop the sex industry, including a global pandemic it would seem, and nothing has quite reaffirmed my choice to do this kind of work like the last two years. Of course, working on my annual Top 10 Sex Toys Of The Year always gets me feeling this way, as giving myself the time and space for the reflection that it brings has become one of my favourite yearly rituals. So, as difficult as choosing favourites always is, getting to take stock and really think about which toys I not only reviewed positively at the time, but continue to love and use, is always worth it. As usual, alongside the toy countdown I’ve also provided my yearly wrap-up here, and as you’ll read, 2022 is already looking like it’s going to be a cracker. But for now, sit back and relax as I revisit 2021, look at what’s ahead in 2022, and share my Top 10 Sex Toys of 2021 with you all.
While 2021 shared a lot of the same shitty characteristics as 2020, I have to admit I had a pretty good year. It started out of lockdown and full of positivity, so much so that in April my partner and I spontaneously hopped on one of the first flights to New Zealand, which was at the time the only international destination available as part of a travel bubble. I’m still not sure what possessed us or gave us the courage to go on our first ever holiday during the middle of a pandemic, and I’m pretty sure we were the only people on that flight who weren’t going to see their families, but it turned out to be an amazing two weeks and we even got engaged at The Green Dragon Inn in Hobbiton! Soon after that Melbourne went back into lockdown, which finally ended in October after getting the record for the world’s longest, but even that was a period of happiness for us when, after 7 years of trying, my partner and I were approved by our rental to get a cat. Our three-year-old rescue, Crumpet, has since made every moment of our lives better, and it’s already hard to imagine not having her around. Following this, things have been a little harder, with Geeky Sex Toys (whom I had worked with as their social media and affiliate manager over the last four years) unexpectedly shutting down just two days after lockdown ended. But as sad and as disappointed by this as I still am, it is also exciting to consider the opportunities that are now available to me, and I can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store.
Despite such a whirlwind year, I think I’ve kept to a pretty good schedule at the blog, and more than anything else I would just love to see that continue into 2022. Back in September I did something I’ve never done before, and that was close my queue for new review items. This gave me a much needed chance to catch up for the first time, and it feels so good to be able to start fresh this year, with submissions from February onwards now open. In the meantime I plan on performing maintenance and a few visual upgrades here, so if you notice anything different over the next month, it’s probably on purpose! In 2021 I also had the opportunity to start making video content for the first time at my Instagram, something I’m looking forward to developing more this year. Finally, now I am no longer working for Geeky Sex Toys, my time has freed up substantially, and I am eager to put it to good use. At current I am producing reviews for two other websites outside my own, PleasureBase and Bedbible, and hope to work alongside more brands in the future, so make sure to follow me on socials to keep up to date with this!
As always, I am so very thankful to all of the brands who have worked with me or sent out items for me to try in 2021 (sometimes without even expecting a review in return). This was PleasureBase, JOUJOU, For Her Box, Sohimi, ZALO, Hot Octopuss, Faux Phallus, Bestvibe, Lovehoney, OSUGA, Darque Path, Lucy Lube, Betty’s Toy Box, Peepshow Toys, FIGR, Frenchie, LBDO, Jimmy Jane, The PR Firm, and Bedbible. Plus, an even bigger thank you goes out to all of my blog sponsors throughout the last 12 months, Monster Pub, Honeysx, Closetplay Sex Toys, BestRealDoll, Eawesion and Base Seagsaidh, as without your support I wouldn’t be able to afford to run this blog! I placed at Number 25 on Molly’s Daily Kiss’s Top 100 Sex Blogs of 2021 and was featured on Kinkly’s Top 100 Sex Blogging Superheroes of 2021, as well as taking out a spot in their Top 10 Sex Toy Review Blogs. Then, while I took a break from hosting large giveaways here at the blog, I held some smaller campaigns at my socials, including one at my Instagram with over $600 worth of prizes all thanks to JOUJOU.
My BIGGEST thank you, however, goes out to all of my subscribers, followers, and readers! When I started this blog I never imagined it would be something that could support me, but that is only able to happen because of all of you, and I’m so honoured that I get to spend every day helping you all on your sex toy adventures.
Top 10 Sex Toys of 2021
Number 10 – Faux Phallus Agapanthus
2021 began with some very exciting news. After years of hoping, an independent fantasy maker finally opened their doors in Australia. I’m talking about Faux Phallus, of course (although Darque Path technically came first, but I found out about them later), and was so honoured when they sent me some toys just weeks after launching. Out of those, I reviewed their Agapanthus, and its small shaft and subtle floral design were a breath of fresh air in a culture that is all about size and texture. I was also incredibly impressed with their colour work and quality considering how short a time they’d been around, and watching this continue to improve as the year went on has been a highlight for me.
You can get the Agapanthus directly from Faux Phallus for just $40 AUD / $29 USD!
Number 9 – Lora DiCarlo Filare
With such high prices, I didn’t expect to be reviewing anything from Lora DiCarlo anytime soon, so you can imagine my surprise when I tried two of their products this year. Sister toys, the Filare and Carezza are two sides of the same coin, with former offering rotating pleasure and the latter providing pulsating. Of the duo, however, there was a clear winner for me, and that was the Filare. While not a perfect toy, its innovative swirling beads were enough to cement its position on this list, easily providing the closest replication to the sensations of oral sex that I’ve ever tried. If only Lora DiCarlo’s prices weren’t so extreme, I think we’d see a lot more of them here.
You can get the Lora DiCarlo Filare from Peepshow Toys for just $247 AUD / $180 USD!
Number 8 – Lovehoney Fifty Shades Of Grey Greedy Girl
Unlike every other toy on this list, the Lovehoney Fifty Shades Of Grey Greedy Girl is not new by any means. In fact, I’ve had multiple opportunities to review it over the years, and have always declined. With a large, bulky body and non-adjustable arms, nothing about it seemed like it would be an effective dual-stimulator, and I assumed the hype was related to the book and film series. But how wrong I was, with it easily being the best traditional rabbit vibrator I’ve ever tried, and one my favourite internal vibes overall now. Plus, with a relatively low price tag, this really would be a wonderful addition to any toy collection.
You can get the Lovehoney Fifty Shades Of Grey Greedy Girl for just $139.95 AUD at Lovehoney Australia or $99.99 USD at Lovehoney US!
Number 7 – Satisfyer Dual Love
Top 10 regular Satisfyer were sadly absent from last year’s list, but now they’re back with what has quickly become my top recommendation for beginners to suction technology. Succeeding where the Curvy 1+ and 2+ failed, the Dual Love and Pleasure were able to provide strong air stimulation alongside comprehensive app control. Plus, even though the “dual” aspect was again off, with neither toy offering much in the way of insertable pleasure, this seems a minor issue when considering the ridiculously low price. Between the two, however, the Dual Love was my personal favourite, with its superior suction quickly winning me over.
You can get the Satisfyer Dual Love from Betty’s Toy Box for just $82 AUD / $59.99 USD!
Number 6 – Lovehoney X Love Not War Amore
When I agreed to review the Lovehoney X Love Not War Amore for Earth Day 2021, I was expecting the focus to be on the amazing sustainability and eco-conscious practices that had gone into the creation of the toy and brand. After all, with this being one of Love Not War’s first products, I wasn’t anticipating something that would compete with my collection of luxury clitoral vibrators. Instead, however, I was met with powerful and rumbly vibrations, so much so that this little vibrator quickly earned its spot in my toy box as one of my top bullet vibrators, alongside the ranks of toys like the Dame Kip and We-Vibe Touch X.
You can get the Lovehoney x Love Not War Amore for just $129.95 AUD at Lovehoney Australia or $84.99 USD at Lovehoney US!
Number 5 – Sohimi ROSE
If there was one sex toy that defined 2021, it was the Sohimi ROSE. Dubbed the “Soul Sucker”, this social media sensation managed to break through into the mainstream with its viral success. Being a white-label toyA mass produced toy that multiple companies claim as their own. though, I largely attributed its popularity to its unique floral design, that is until I tried it myself. Despite a low price tag, 3 speeds, and an alternate type of suction technology to the bigger brands, the ROSE is without a doubt one of the most powerful stimulators I’ve ever tried, and I too quickly became obsessed. Sadly this was short lived, with it dying immediately after I finished my review, although with faulty waterproofing being the suspected cause, I still believe it’s worth the risk.
You can get the Sohimi ROSE from Peepshow Toys for just $55 AUD / $39.99 USD!
Number 4 – Doxy X Lovehoney Die Cast 3R
For years I’ve been asking for a cordless version of my beloved Doxy Die Cast, allowing me to match its powerful vibrations with the convenience of toys such as the Magic Wand Rechargeable. So when I finally got my hands on the Doxy X Lovehoney Die Cast 3R, with R standing for rechargeable, it felt like a dream come true. While it didn’t quite meet my high expectations, however, the Die Cast 3R is still an exceptional wand massager, and has quickly found its place as a regular in my toy box. In fact, the only reason it didn’t rank higher is just due to its staggering price tag, making it a lot less accessible than the other toys here.
You can get the Doxy X Lovehoney Die Cast 3R for just $299.95 AUD at Lovehoney Australia or $199.99 USD at Lovehoney US!
Number 3 – SquarePegToys G squeeze
I really didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I agreed to review the SquarePegToys G squeeze, a first-of-its-kind vaginal plug. Turns out though there is a huge demand for these types of products, with it quickly becoming one of my most anticipated reviews of the year. Eager fans weren’t let down either, with the G Squeeze in both Small and Medium being some of the most special toys I tested in 2021. This was all thanks to their unique foldable shape combined with the brand’s signature SuperSoft silicone, which allows for easy entry before expanding back out to fully enhance orgasms and stimulation.
You can get the SquarePegToys G squeeze from Peepshow Toys starting at just $57 AUD / $42 USD!
Number 2 – Hot Octopuss KURVE
The most innovative toy I tried this year, the Hot Octopuss KURVE is truly spectacular. With the genius decision to combine both rumbly and buzzy motors into the one toy, not only does it have you covered regardless of your preference, but together they unite to create the most powerful vibrations I’ve ever witnessed outside of a wand massager. Then add comprehensive controls, an ideal G-Spot curve, and a unique gel-pad head, and you’ll soon realise that toys just don’t get much better than this. In truth, the only reason it didn’t take out my Number 1 spot is due to the logo on the shaft, which frustratingly makes the KURVE far more difficult to clean than it needed to be.
You can get the Hot Octopuss KURVE for just $169.95 AUD at Lovehoney Australia or $129.99 USD at Lovehoney US!
Number 1 – We-Vibe Touch X
If you’d asked me to predict my 2021 Number 1 toy one year ago, I would have said the We-Vibe Tango X. So it’s still quite a shock that not only does the Tango X not even appear on this list, but that its sister toy has taken out my top spot instead! Whether it’s because the new Tango just couldn’t live up to the legacy of its predecessor or my preferences have changed over the years, I just couldn’t deny that my clitoris far preferred the softer touch of the Touch X’s buttery silicone, and since then it has become my loyal companion. My most used product of the year as well as my new favourite clitoral vibrator, the Touch X is more than deserving of the Number 1 spot.
You can get the We-Vibe Touch X for just $149.95 AUD at Lovehoney Australia or $99.99 USD at Lovehoney US!

I didn’t expect a Satisfyer to be on the list. I have been disappointed by most of their toys that I’ve used. I’m glad you found one that works well!
i think my first toy was a satisfyer and I recommend it to all my girlfriends. But then again that’s the beauty of sex toys. There s not really one that can please everyone, we just need to find our match haha.

Satisfyer use to make regular appearances on this list and even took the Number 1 spot in 2019! It’s just in recent years their focus has gone from quality to quantity. Even if they did still have good toys, there’s so many these days it’s hard to pick what to review!
I have purchased several of these products and came back to study. The reviews on this list are quite accurate.
