Top 10 Sex Toys of 2019

The end of 2019, and the decade, is finally here, and with it comes one of my favourite and most anticipated posts of the year! My annual ranking of the Top 10 Sex Toys that I reviewed over the previous 12 months is always a great way for me to look back on my year and reflect on all the amazing toys I’ve had the opportunity to try, and as 2019 saw more reviews released on my blog than ever before, it’s certainly been a challenge to try and pick out favourites! As always though I’ve just tried to focus on which toys I seem to keep coming back to long after their reviews are released, and with that in mind I think this year may be one of the best groups of toys yet. So sit back and relax as I reflect on 2019, look ahead to 2020, and share my Top 10 Sex Toys of 2019 with you.

2019 was my fifth year at Princess Previews and for the first time I feel like I’ve finally hit my stride with blogging. Despite this, however, the last 12 months were very much divided into two halves for me. Almost the entire first half of my year was filled with stress and anxiety, as we were told the lease on our apartment of four years would not be renewed. For 6 long months all my time was eaten up either with house-hunting or preparing my apartment for weekly inspections with potential buyers, and I was unable to take on much work due to the fact that any day we could receive our 30-days notice. While I did manage some successful giveaways, completing even monthly posting was difficult, and as such not many reviews were released during this period. Thankfully this all ended in July, when we finally moved into our wonderful new apartment, and with nothing left to hold me back I begun tackling blog work full-time. I invested in a project management software to keep me on track, and since August I have maintained a weekly release schedule for the very first time. This newfound enthusiasm, now that I am finally able to put my full focus on the blog, has allowed me to produce more reviews this year than ever before, which, considering my lack of content during the first half of 2019, is almost mind-boggling. What’s more, for the first time I actually have a content wait-list, as I am currently fully booked with weekly reviews and articles till April 2020! Having content organised so far in advance is certainly a little stressful, but it’s also a bit of a dream come true and really proves to me that my hard work over the last six months has been well worth it. Plus, it also means that next year is pretty much guaranteed to be great!

Next year my goal is to really just maintain where I am at right now. While a weekly schedule is quite demanding, it is also very rewarding, as it has allowed me to create an effective and organised content calendar, rather than my old method of just kinda winging it. While I wouldn’t mind dropping down to a less frequent schedule at some point to give myself more personal time, I definitely want to continue the consistency that I feel I’ve finally been able to achieve in 2019. A big part of my plans this year were to rebrand the blog, and while I did complete a lot of maintenance work behind-the-scenes, I was unable to find the time to make the visual changes that I wanted, so that is definitely a goal that I will be bringing over with me into 2020. As with this year I also hope to continue to run more giveaways and review more items from independent toy makers, as I find a focus on these to be a great way to give back to the community I love so much.

As usual I am super thankful to all the companies who have been kind enough to work with me this year, as without them I wouldn’t have any content for the blog! This was JOUJOU, Hot Octopuss, Paloqueth, Lovehoney, Mimi De Luxe, Geeky Sex Toys, SheVibe, Pornhub Toys, Betty’s Toy Box, ZALO, SVAKOM, Bestvibe, Top Cams List, We-Vibe, For Her Box and Escorts and Babes. An even bigger thank you then goes out to all my blog sponsors from throughout the year, Little Play Box, My Little Secret, Aphrodizical, Sex Toys Heaven, Nikki Darling, Mademoiselle Sexy, and Secrexy, as without them I simply couldn’t afford to run this blog! This year I placed at Number 34 on Molly’s Daily Kiss’s Top 100 Sex Blogs of 2019 and made the Top 10 Sex Toy Review Blogs list for the first time in Kinkly’s Top 100 Sex Blogging Superheroes of 2019 guide. I’m also now at Number 17 on Kinkly’s Top Sex Blogs list, which is an amazing honour! While I held multiple giveaways this year, my Fourth Blogiversary Giveaway was a great success in particular, as with over $1000 worth in prizes to be won from five of my favourite Australian retailers, JOUJOUMimi De LuxeNikki Darling, Geeky Sex Toys, and Lovehoney, it was my biggest giveaway yet.

Finally, as usual the BIGGEST thank you goes out to all of my subscribers, followers, and readers! There would be no point to this blog if it wasn’t for all of you, as everything I do here is with the aim of allowing you to feel safe and confident about your choices when it comes to sex toys.

Top 10 Sex Toys of 2019

As with my previous lists from 2016, 2017, and 2018, this Top 10 purely contains toys I have reviewed during the last 12 months, regardless of when they came out or when I first received them. In the interests of keeping things simple I am only featuring sex toys, so other associated products that I review, such as lubricant, will not be included. Additionally, this list is an overall look at all the toys I review, and as such I will not be using sub-categories to divide different types of products. While my reviews consider numerous factors to determine my opinion on a product, only one thing matters here, and that is how much I enjoyed it. As such, my review score of a product doesn’t necessarily reflect where it will place on this list. In providing purchasing links I’ve attempted to only recommend a small selection of my most trusted retailers, so you can find my exclusive discount codes for almost all of them here.

Number 10 – Hot Octopuss PULSE DUO

Hot Octopuss PULSE III DUO

A huge first for the blog this year was the review of the Hot Octopuss PULSE DUO. Why? Because it was the first review of a product designed primarily for a penis on Princess Previews, courtesy of my partner. Despite his support of the blog and help over the years testing couples toys with me, he had never been interested in a toy for himself until I showed him the PULSE. Thankfully it was a huge success, as he loved both the solo use and couples compatibility that this powerful masturbator offered.

You can get the PULSE DUO directly from Hot Octopuss for just $189.95 AUD / $149.95 USD!

 Number 9 – Tantus Magma

Tantus Magma

The Tantus Splash (cousin of the Splish) was one of the first dildos I ever dreamed of owning, but when it was discontinued a few years ago I thought I had missed my chance. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw it was back as the Tantus Magma. Sporting a new colour scheme and slightly smaller design, making it more approachable than its previous incarnation, this drip-style textured dildo was able to impress both my G-Spot and A-Spot, making it one of the best insertable toys I tried this year.

You can get the Magma directly from Tantus for just $71 AUD / $52 USD!

Number 8 – Hot Octopuss DiGiT

Hot Octopuss DiGiT

Hot Octopuss are leaders in innovative toy design, so when I heard their first clitoral vibrator, the DiGiT, was to be released, I was extremely excited. It certainly didn’t disappoint either, with an incredibly powerful and rumbly motor that could easily compete with the We-Vibe Tango. Their finger-strap style design was then also incredibly useful, although I did find it slightly restrictive, which is the only reason why the DiGiT didn’t make it even further on this list.

You can get the DiGiT directly from Hot Octopuss for just $119.95 AUD / $69.95 USD!

Number 7 – Uberrime Ripley Alien

Uberrime Ripley Alien

The Uberrime Ripley Alien is perhaps my favourite review that I completed this year, because experiencing its fantasy style and soft silicone gave me the confidence to start expanding my horizons when it comes to dildos. It was more than just a launchpad for the rest of my Uberrime reviews this year however, as this toy was absolutely breathtaking just on its own. A reference to one of my favourite films, not only is this toy now the best looking dildo I own, but it was also massively pleasurable in use.

Sadly, the Uberrime Ripley Alien has now been discontinued. But you can get the upgraded Uberrime Ripley 2 from SheVibe for just $174 AUD / $127 USD!

 Number 6 – Womanizer X Lovehoney Pro40

Womanizer X Lovehoney Pro40

It’s hard to believe how long it’s taken me to try my first suction toy from Womanizer, and I was so happy that it didn’t disappoint. While the Womanizer X Lovehoney Pro40 is easily superior to any clitoral stimulators I have tried in previous years, it unfortunately had some tough competition in 2019 for which it wasn’t able to compete with. Despite this though it was still a great toy and a worthy revival of this classic.

You can get the Womanizer x Lovehoney Pro40 for just $169.95 AUD at Lovehoney Australia or $119.99 USD at Lovehoney US!

 Number 5 – We-Vibe Moxie

We-Vibe Moxie

There was a clear winner during my panty vibe review round-up earlier this year, and that was the We-Vibe Moxie. This little toy takes the classic style of vibrator that it’s based off of and completely updates it for 2019, featuring magnetic technology to universally connect to the user’s underwear and multiple different methods of control. Plus, it uses a We-Vibe style motor, meaning this toy is so much more than just a couples-style gimmick.

You can get the We-Vibe Moxie for just $149.95 AUD at Lovehoney Australia or $129.99 USD at Lovehoney US!

 Number 4 – We-Vibe Melt

We-Vibe Melt

When I heard the news earlier this year that We-Vibe, my favourite vibrator manufacturer, were releasing the Melt aka their first suction toy, it was like Christmas had come early. But I still don’t think anything could have prepared me for just how good it would be. Not only is this the most powerful suction toy I’ve tried, but the sleek couples friendly design and app compatibility truly puts this product on another level from any other toy of its type.

You can get the We-Vibe Melt for just $189.95 AUD at Lovehoney Australia or $149.99 USD at Lovehoney US!

Number 3 – Uberrime Dr. Manhattan

Uberrime Dr. Manhattan

It’s been a big year of Watchmen for me. From the HBO series, rewatching the 2009 film, and reading the comics, I couldn’t help but want to inject a little bit of my geeky side into my reviews this year when I saw Uberrime were offering a Dr. Manhattan dildo. But I got far more than I bargained for with this toy, as rather than just a pop culture novelty I found this to be the best A-Spot dildo I’ve ever tried, and this combined with its large but squishy size allowed it to not just be the best dildo I tried this year, but one of the best toys in general.

You can get the Uberrime Dr. Manhattan from SheVibe in its new glittery blue colour for just $127 AUD / $93 USD!

 Number 2 – Dame Kip

Dame Kip

In my review of the Dame Kip I mentioned that if you’d told me last year I’d ask to review a Dame product I would have laughed, so imagine how I feel now that the Kip has not only made it onto my Top 10 list, but placed at Number 2. A truly faultless toy in regards to both its functions and looks, plus this product also managed to achieve the biggest requirement of this list: it gave me immense amounts of pleasure. A worthy successor to my We-Vibe Tango as my new favourite clitoral vibrator, and a truly spectacular addition to Dame’s range.

You can get the Dame Kip from Betty’s Toy Box for just $117 AUD / $85 USD!

 Number 1 – Satisfyer Luxury

Satisfyer Luxury

It wouldn’t be a Top 10 list at my blog if Satisfyer weren’t involved, although this is their first year to have a product actually make it to the Number 1 spot! Now, you may be wondering why the Satisfyer Luxury placed here when I clearly just said that the We-Vibe Melt, which only placed at Number 4, is “most powerful suction toy I’ve tried”. Well, even though technically the Melt is far superior to the Luxury, I can’t deny the fact that I simply found the Luxury more pleasurable than the Melt. In fact, I’m obsessed with the Luxury in a way that I haven’t felt for a sex toy in a long time, and as such it is without a question my most used and loved toy of 2019, and well deserving of my Number 1 spot this year.

You can get the Satisfyer Luxury from Femplay for just $179.99 AUD / $130 USD!
